CHAPTER 342: CHAPTER 342: DADDY LOVES YOU TOO

Susan Wilde stood behind the door, a torrent of complex emotions rising in her heart.

She didn’t want to face anyone right now, even wished she could hide in her own world, detached from the outside, not allowing anything in.

It seemed like only this way could give her a shred of security.

The summer vacation ended, and Leo started school.

Shannon Quinn’s long-planned honeymoon trip to Cinderfall finally had a set date.

On the third day of Leo’s school, the two of them packed their luggage and set off.

Shannon Quinn’s belly wasn’t too big yet, and wearing slightly loose clothes, she didn’t look pregnant at all.

She was lively and spirited all the way, Landon Sutton was worn out with worry, slightly regretting bringing her out.

She was probably like a horse off the reins because she’d been cooped up at home for too long.

After a five-hour flight and another hour by boat, they finally reached the island.

Since the island was developed specifically for tourism, both residents and tourists were plentiful.

The blue sea and sky, warm sun and breeze, seemed to dispel the fatigue brought by a day’s journey the moment they arrived.

Shannon Quinn stood by the railing at the dock, unable to move, spreading her arms to enjoy the sea breeze.

Landon Sutton stood helplessly behind her, watching as her hat was about to be blown away by the wind. He quickly slapped it back down.

But perhaps he used a bit too much force, causing her to turn and glare at him while clutching her hat: "Why did you hit me?!"

Landon Sutton: "Otherwise, you’d be chasing your hat now."

Shannon Quinn: "But you didn’t have to use so much force!"

Landon Sutton: "Well, you’re already silly, hitting you a few more times won’t do much."

Shannon Quinn gritted her teeth, raising her small fist to tap his head: "You’re the silly one! Dumbass!"

Landon Sutton frowned: "Who taught you? Such vulgar words."

Shannon Quinn adjusted her hat and continued walking forward: "They’re specifically for cursing you!"

Landon Sutton dragged the suitcase leisurely behind her: "Let me hear that again, and see how I’ll deal with you."

Shannon Quinn turned back, this time only mouthing those three words, then triumphantly ran ahead.

Landon Sutton frowned and shouted: "Slow down! Why are you running?!"

He was always anxious whenever she didn’t walk properly. Even though there weren’t many cars on the island, what if she tripped over something and fell?

Her long dress flowed with the wind, under the sunlight, her skin was so white it practically glowed, without exaggeration.

"There are steps ahead, watch out!"

Finally reaching the booked hotel, it seemed she had used up all her energy.

As soon as they entered the room, she flopped onto the big bed and didn’t dare do anything except breathe through her nose.

Landon Sutton took her pajamas out of the suitcase and tossed them to her: "Go take a shower."

Shannon Quinn pulled the clothes off her face and looked at them, then disdainfully tossed them aside: "I don’t want to wear this, I want to wear that white dress."

The pajama set was bought by Landon Sutton, a modest T-shirt paired with long pants.

She originally didn’t even want to bring it, but Landon Sutton insisted on stuffing it in.

Because most of her pajamas were spaghetti strap dresses, which he couldn’t stand.

Landon Sutton frowned, picked up the discarded pajamas: "If you don’t wear this, then don’t wear anything, hurry up and shower, we still have to go out for dinner later."

Shannon Quinn lazily turned over, wrapping herself in the blanket: "I want to sleep."

Landon Sutton: "Not hungry?"

Shannon Quinn: "A little, maybe we could just order takeout."

Landon Sutton gave her a glare: "Did you come out to play or just to order takeout somewhere else?"

Shannon Quinn: "Then you go shower first, I’ll nap a bit."

Seeing she was indeed tired, Landon Sutton sighed in resignation and went to the bathroom with his change of clothes.

When he came out after showering, he saw that she had already fallen asleep. Not wanting to wake her, but worried about her and the baby having not had a proper meal on the way, Landon Sutton then reached out and patted her face: "Wake up."

She pouted and scratched where he patted, but still didn’t wake up.

Landon Sutton chuckled softly, pinched her nose, a few seconds later she was struggling and waved her hands, then suddenly opened her eyes, glaring at him.

Landon Sutton released his grip: "Get up."

Shannon Quinn was obviously still not well-rested, her eyes barely open: "I’m not hungry at all right now, let me eat when I wake up."

Landon Sutton sat by the bed, sliding his hand under the blanket to feel her slightly protruding belly, saying: "Didn’t the doctor say, between four to six months you could do some exercise?"

Hearing this, Shannon Quinn instantly woke up.

She knew very well what Landon Sutton’s righteous "exercise" implied. His mind was filled with impure thoughts, and she knew exactly what he was thinking.

She immediately moved his hand from her belly, got out of the bed: "I’m suddenly really hungry, let’s go eat."

Landon Sutton smiled with satisfaction, surprised at how effective this tactic was.

Sleepiness only lasted a moment, after showering, Shannon Quinn was completely awake.

The evening sea breeze was a bit cool, luckily Landon Sutton had insisted she wear a coat when they went out.

After some picking and choosing, they found a seaside restaurant, sitting on the rooftop, enjoying the food and watching the expansive view.

Even the most restless heart would settle down here.

"Hubby."

Landon Sutton looked up at Shannon Quinn. Her gaze was in the distance, and he thought he had heard wrong, but then he heard her say: "It’s so good to have you by my side."

Landon Sutton chuckled: "Have you fallen for me so hard you can’t help yourself?"

Shannon Quinn withdrew her gaze, smiling as she looked at him, not hiding the infatuation in her eyes at all: "I feel like the longer I’m with you, the less independent I’ve become."

Landon Sutton couldn’t help but spoil the mood with: "That’s because you were dumb and lazy yourself, don’t blame it on me."

The adoration in Shannon Quinn’s eyes faded instantly, and she rolled her eyes: "No sense of romance."

She took out a Polaroid to capture the scenery before her, then took out a notebook from her bag to record all the little moments between them, sticking the photo inside and writing something down with a pen.

When Landon Sutton leaned over to look, she deliberately covered it with her hand, turned her back to him, wrote, then closed the book and put it back into her bag.

When they returned to the hotel at night, and after she fell asleep, Landon Sutton opened the book to take a look.

Seeing her elegant handwriting under the photo: "The most beautiful scenery, the one I love the most."

Next to it was a cute heart drawn.

Landon Sutton smiled, picked up a pen, and under her next sentence wrote: "Daddy loves you too."

The next morning, when Shannon Quinn was packing, she found the notebook that she had clearly put in her bag had somehow come out.

Immediately thinking it was Landon Sutton who had sneaked a look at her notebook, glared toward the bathroom, opened the notebook to check, and found an extra line of words.
