CHAPTER 353: CHAPTER 353: HAYDEN BELLAMY

Simon Rhodes looked at Shannon Quinn; she was more optimistic than he had imagined.

After so many days, it was rare to see a smile on her face. Simon comforted, "Perhaps when you go, he’ll remember everything."

Shannon Quinn was eager to see Landon Sutton; she felt inwardly that even if he didn’t remember others, he would surely remember her.

Upon arriving at Lunara, they had already missed the last ferry to the island.

In addition, there was wind and rain at night, which might not cause any accident, but Shannon Quinn was still somewhat haunted by the shipwreck incident last time.

Besides, Shannon was pregnant; even if she was impatient to meet Landon Sutton, Simon would have to take good care of Shannon and the child in her belly.

After getting off the plane, they found a hotel in the city to stay in.

"Get a good rest for the night, it’s already late."

Shannon nodded but asked, "Where is he now?"

Simon: "He followed a girl back to the island; it should be the family that rescued him. Ronan wanted him to stay in the city, but he didn’t recognize Ronan and refused."

Shannon lowered her gaze and remained silent for a while.

Simon continued, "We’ll go to the island tomorrow; when you go, he’ll surely come back with you."

After a tiring day of travel, Shannon felt a bit exhausted. But lying in bed, she tossed and turned, unable to sleep, eager to meet Landon Sutton as soon as possible.

To tell him about her worries during this time and then ask him what had happened during these days.

The next day.

The weather was not great, gloomy as if it was about to rain.

Taking the earliest ferry, it took five or six hours to reach the island.

They met Ronan Rhodes at the dock, and Ronan led them to where Landon was now.

"Master Nate seems to have knocked his head hard; when he sees me, he insists he doesn’t know me, says he remembers nothing, like he’s a different person. Yesterday, he went off with a little dark-skinned girl. Sis, when you see him, teach him a lesson; he must be bewitched by a woman’s charm!"

Shannon smiled slightly but didn’t care about the "dark-skinned girl", instead she asked Ronan, "Is he okay?"

Ronan: "He’s fine, no missing arms or broken legs, just looks a bit dazed, wooden and dull, unlike how Master Nate usually is."

Simon: "It’s a blessing to have his life spared. That girl might be his savior; once we meet her, let’s be polite and not mention ’dark-skinned girl’ again."

Ronan responded with an "Oh" and led them to the car, "You can take a nap; the place is quite remote, about one or two hours drive, then another half an hour walk. Cars can’t get in."

Shannon no longer cared about the mountains or long roads. Sitting in the car, thinking about getting closer to him, the feelings she had been holding onto for so long seemed to brighten all at once.

He was her best remedy.

The road was a bit bumpy; Shannon felt carsick and rested several times during the trip.

Although cars couldn’t access the last stretch, the road was smooth.

The location was remote, but there were houses all along, like a secluded village.

"Once we pass this slope, we can see that household," Ronan pointed ahead and said.

Shannon, panting, glanced at the road ahead, obviously some physical strength had been drained.

Simon: "Let’s rest a bit before continuing."

Shannon shook her head: "No need, let’s keep going."

Anyone could see her urgency.

Just as they were about to climb over the small slope, they saw a girl wearing a straw hat not far away; her skin was dark, somewhat matching Ronan’s description of the girl.

The slope was cultivated with vegetable patches; the girl was picking vegetables.

She also noticed Shannon and the group, their outfit clearly didn’t match the locals.

Due to Ronan’s appearance yesterday, Joel Bellamy was also aware that this group was related to the man she rescued.

Upon seeing Joel, Ronan said, "That’s the girl; Master Nate should be nearby."

Shannon quickened her pace toward Joel, Simon led the group closely behind.

Upon approaching, Joel guardedly glanced at Shannon and asked, "Who are you?"

Shannon politely smiled and explained, "I’m here to find my husband; I heard you rescued him, thank you so much. Where is he now? Can you take me to him?"

Joel raised her brows, scrutinizing Shannon.

She was a bit envious of Shannon’s beauty, even more envious that she turned out to be her brother’s wife.

"What’s your husband’s name?" Joel asked.

Shannon replied eagerly, "Landon Sutton, you..."

Before Shannon could finish, Joel said, "I don’t have anyone by that name here; my brother’s name is Hayden Bellamy."

Shannon paused, continuing to smile politely: "Can you take me to him?"

Joel hesitated, scrutinized everyone, and her eyes fell on the bracelet on Shannon’s wrist, with a blue stone she clearly remembered as identical to her brother’s.

"If you give me your bracelet, I’ll take you to meet my brother."

Shannon lowered her head, looking at the bracelet on her hand.

The bracelet carried significant meaning for her, but the desire to see Landon urgently outweighed the bracelet’s value, seeing him was most important.

So Shannon took off the bracelet and handed it to Joel.

Joel examined it before putting it in her pocket, then looked at Shannon and said, "Only you can come."

Ronan frowned: "You young girl, don’t push your luck!"

Joel showed no fear: "If you want you can follow me to see my brother; otherwise, you’ll have to leave."

Shannon turned to Simon and said, "Mr. Rhodes, you should wait here for me."

Simon was a bit uneasy, but Shannon had already followed Joel ahead.

In the distance, the white house could be seen, the closer she got, the more tense Shannon felt.

Joel carried the basket of picked vegetables, running energetically, like a carefree young girl.

Being pregnant, Shannon naturally couldn’t run after Joel on the hill.

She lagged behind, following Joel.

Then, before entering the house, Joel yelled towards a direction, "Brother! I’m back!"

Shannon was carefully watching the road beneath her, while also looking out for Landon Sutton who might come out from the house, anxious enough that she almost stumbled, thankfully without mishap.

Before she reached closer, she saw a man in a white T-shirt walk out from the side of the house.

Shannon’s steps halted immediately, gazing at the man, a smile forming, while her eyes started to moisten.

Tons of words welled up in her heart, but they all got stuck in her throat, unsure how to begin.
