CHAPTER 439: CHAPTER 439: SHE’S MY WIFE

Landon Sutton confidently retorted to Leo, "She’s my wife. What’s the big deal about helping me fold clothes? If you don’t want to fold them, go find yourself a wife to serve you."

Shannon Quinn quickly glared at Landon Sutton, "What nonsense are you spouting to the kid!"

Landon Sutton shamelessly gave Shannon Quinn a kiss, as if showing off to his son, then hugged her as they walked away, causing Shannon Quinn to scold him all the way.

"Even though this trip isn’t long, be more cautious since I won’t be by your side."

"Alright, how many times are you going to nag about this?"

Landon Sutton: "Where’s your suitcase? Let me check it for you."

Shannon Quinn lazily sat on the bed, frowned, and said, "I’ve packed it all. Don’t touch my stuff."

Landon Sutton seemed to deliberately oppose her, spotted the suitcase by the wall, and went over to open and check it on his own.

Shannon Quinn couldn’t be bothered with him, leaned back on the bed, and played a mobile game. While playing, she commented, "Make sure to tidy it up after you’re done."

Landon Sutton rummaged through the suitcase, pulled out a goose-yellow swimsuit, lifted it to examine, and asked disdainfully, "What’s this?"

Shannon Quinn glanced over, immediately put down her phone, and rushed off the bed, "That’s my swimsuit! What are you doing? Put it back!"

Landon Sutton: "Swimsuit? What can this cover? You’re going to wear this in front of so many men?"

Shannon Quinn: "Everyone wears this on the beach, who’s looking at you?"

Landon Sutton: "I can’t control others, but you can’t. What about last year’s set? Take that one instead."

Seeing Landon Sutton walk over to the closet, intending to put back the new set and find the one he bought for her last year.

Shannon Quinn raised her hand to snatch it back, but he reached up and placed it on the highest shelf of the closet, out of her reach even on tiptoes.

"I want to wear this new one."

Landon Sutton found last year’s set, handed it to her, and said, "This set is my limit. Otherwise, wear a down jacket and stand by the shore watching others play."

"At thirty degrees, only a madman would wear a down jacket!"

Landon Sutton laughed, reached out to pinch her puffed-up cheek, and said, "Be good. Save this one to wear for me when you get home."

Shannon Quinn looked at the navy-blue one-piece swimsuit in her hand. The style was decent; she did like it last year.

However, women are fickle about clothes. Of course, with new ones, you like to show off the new ones. It’s not just about appearance, but mood.

Seeing her standing still, Landon Sutton directly helped fold the swimsuit and placed it back in the suitcase. He then went to the closet for a few jackets to pack as well.

Shannon Quinn objected, "There, it’s over thirty degrees. No need for jackets."

Landon Sutton: "Wear one. Take one just in case it gets cold. Besides, it’s cold here; you might need it on your return."

Shannon Quinn suddenly felt she could relate to people online who complain about moms forcing them to wear thermal underwear.

Watching Landon Sutton pack a jacket, then add a few pairs of socks, and complain some of her dresses were too short, others too revealing at the back.

Apart from not touching her makeup, nearly everything else was swapped out.

Even though the dresses he chose still had some style, Shannon Quinn felt uncomfortable.

Girls want to go out looking pretty, but he insists on meddling with everything.

Plus, she had specifically bought quite a few outfits for this trip, and now half of them were replaced by him.

But considering that he agreed to her trip so readily this time, it was a fair compromise.

Landon Sutton recognized how important this friends’ trip was for her, knowing they’d soon start trying for a baby, and once pregnant, such opportunities would vanish. He wanted her to enjoy a few carefree days before the "trial."

The next day, since Shannon Quinn’s departure coincided with Leo’s school time, Landon Sutton had to let Shannon Quinn take a taxi to the office and meet her colleagues before heading to the airport.

In fact, Shannon Quinn initially had no intention of letting Landon Sutton see her off. It was his insistence on accompanying her to the airport. Luckily, with Catherine Yardley absent, he couldn’t avoid bringing Leo to school, so naturally, he had no time to fuss over Shannon Quinn.

Perhaps Aidan Lockwood’s personality influenced the group, or maybe it was his humane management style, but Shannon Quinn genuinely appreciated the absence of scheming in her work environment.

Amid the laughter and chatter, the main gossip revolved around Aidan Lockwood’s personal life and Shannon Quinn’s marital tales post-wedding.

Regarding Aidan Lockwood’s love life, Shannon Quinn was quite curious.

Given that his age wasn’t exactly young, there were no public relationships, and he didn’t even have a proper girlfriend around.

Joining the fun was Jasper Sutton, who attended school with Aidan Lockwood and shared a story from his school days.

Which wasn’t quite a relationship but more of a special friendship.

The topic shifted, then focused on Jasper Sutton.

"Boss Sutton, you and our boss were classmates, so you must be hitting the age mark too? Are you two competing over who stays single longer?"

Jasper Sutton joked, "What a trap, and now I have to step into it myself."

"Boss Sutton, you probably have a girlfriend, right?"

Jasper paused, smiled, and said, "I wouldn’t say I have a girlfriend, just someone I like."

Shannon Quinn raised an eyebrow, surprised, "A secret crush? Mr. Sutton, you being such a catch, is there really a girl you wouldn’t dare pursue?"
