CHAPTER 463: CHAPTER 463: TROUBLE AT THE KTV

After hearing what the two sisters said, Erin Bishop thought they were right. Why was she so obsessed with gathering evidence against her husband? If she really found evidence, what could she do when she was heavily pregnant and nearing her due date?

She should be more magnanimous, just like Susan Wilde said. Even if Zane Rhodes lied to her that day to meet with that woman, he must have been saying goodbye to the past, not reminiscing.

She really should trust him more. Some things should be left for him to handle himself.

She didn’t need to get to the bottom of everything.

Shannon Quinn glanced at her phone, seeing the work chat group lively in conversation: "The company is hosting another event, sounds exciting, but I won’t get to be a part of it."

Erin Bishop sighed in response: "I haven’t been to work in so long. Zane is handling everything, and I’m about to go stir-crazy at home. The KTV membership we got before hasn’t been used much, and it’s about to expire."

Shannon Quinn smiled and said, "Why don’t we go play now?"

Susan Wilde was timid, hesitating as she said, "Isn’t it bad, Rona’s belly is so big..."

But Erin Bishop, the key person to be protected, immediately agreed with Shannon Quinn’s suggestion: "Let’s go, I’m almost detached from society. I won’t have another baby after this, it’s like being in prison!"

Shannon Quinn got up: "I’ll grab the coat inside the room, you all clean up as well, we’ll meet in ten minutes."

Susan Wilde: " ... Are we really going? If we get caught, we’re definitely getting scolded."

Shannon Quinn: "No worries, why listen to them all the time? We’ll be back before they get off work. If you don’t tell, and I don’t tell, how could they possibly know?"

Erin Bishop: "Exactly, hurry up. I’ll also go get a coat."

Susan Wilde, although fearful, still went along with them, albeit apprehensively.

Shannon Quinn drove, and they arrived at the KTV in just over ten minutes.

During the day, the KTV was pretty empty, but there were daytime discounts, plus drinks and fruit platters.

Of course, as mothers, they were sensible and ordered just the fruit platter, skipping the drinks.

The three of them got a big room. Although there weren’t many people, the atmosphere was just as lively.

Singing one song after another, none of them were holding back.

Susan Wilde was constantly worried though, because Simon Rhodes called her midway. She lied saying she was at Shannon Quinn’s house, and was worried her lie would be exposed.

Erin Bishop said she hadn’t done enough sneaky things. In the future, she should come out with them more to build courage.

"Ah! This feels great! This is how a pregnant woman should live, keeping a happy mood! What’s the point of staying shut at home all day?"

Shannon Quinn laughed and said: "Rona, you’re full of energy. When I was as big as you when pregnant with Leo, I didn’t even want to leave the house."

Erin Bishop: "Speaking of which, you really had a hard time while pregnant with Leo, with no one around to take care of you."

"Well, Mr. Lockwood helped me a lot during that time."

Erin Bishop: "To be honest, when you married Young Master Rhodes, I always thought you and that Mr. Lockwood were a couple, he treated you so well."

Shannon Quinn: "Mr. Lockwood is just a good person. He’s very warm-hearted with his students and employees alike."

"How come he’s still single? Why not introduce your sister to him, he’s a bit older, but probably good at taking care of others."

Shannon Quinn immediately shook her head: "Matters of the heart should be left to their fate."

Firstly, Aidan Lockwood might just be interacting with Sheila Yardley as an elder. Secondly, there’s still no resolution between Elaine and Caleb Grant.

Shannon Quinn didn’t plan on getting involved.

Susan Wilde didn’t know if it was her first time looking at her phone, she urged: "It’s past four, we should head back."

"So soon? I haven’t sung enough yet."

Shannon Quinn said: "What’s there to be afraid of? We can sneak back tomorrow, they wouldn’t know anyway."

The three women, thinking they were clever, satisfied their craving and then headed together to the bathroom at the end of the hallway.

While standing at the sink, they washed their hands and admired themselves in the mirror.

Erin Bishop, while wiping her hands, walked forward: "The environment here isn’t too bad. Perhaps it’s because there are fewer people during the day, not much smoke smell."

"Exactly, and we can only come out to play during the day, suits us well."

At a corner, a woman in ten-centimeter high heels, with blonde curls mismatched to her skin tone, and heavy makeup, stormed angrily into the bathroom while on the phone.

Erin Bishop turned her head to continue talking to Shannon Quinn, and collided with the woman at the corner.

The impact wasn’t strong, but the woman’s heels were too high. Losing balance, she fell to the ground, her phone skidding far and landing at Shannon Quinn’s feet.

Shannon Quinn bent down to pick up the phone, Erin Bishop didn’t even have time to say sorry, while Susan Wilde was about to help the woman.

The blonde woman cursed: "You blind bitch?!"

She initially bumped into Erin Bishop, and Erin was going to say sorry when she saw her fall.

Hearing the woman’s insults, it wasn’t just Erin Bishop, who had a fiery temper, who couldn’t stand it; even the normally gentle Susan Wilde couldn’t help herself: "Dressed all fancy, trying to scam us?"

The woman, holding onto the wall, stood up, walked over, and snatched her phone back from Shannon Quinn, pointing at the three of them: "Ganging up on me, huh?! I’ll make you pay!"

Saying this, the blonde woman dialed a number on her phone, her aggressive tone turning saccharine-sweet: "Marshall, waa~ I got bullied, come help me."

These three "big sisters" were not ones to fear trouble, all of them waiting for the show to start.

After hanging up, the blonde woman glanced at Erin Bishop’s stomach and started mocking: "With a belly that big, still coming to a place like this? Are you pregnant, or is there a tumor inside you?"

"Slap——" Before the woman finished speaking, Erin Bishop’s hand landed on her face. Seeing the disbelief in her eyes as she held her cheek, Erin Bishop chuckled: "I think you should get that tumor on your neck checked at the hospital."

"You’re tired of living, daring to hit me?!"

As the blonde woman seemed ready to attack, Shannon Quinn instinctively moved Erin Bishop aside.

A noise came from behind them, followed by the sight of a group of men of varying heights and builds slowly approaching from the end of the corridor.

The blonde woman, who had just been belligerent and eager to fight, immediately transformed into a helpless damsel, darting into the arms of the leopard print shirt man at the front, sobbing: "Marshall... it’s those three, they bumped me and hit me. They even said... they even said I have a tumor!"
