CHAPTER 921: CHAPTER 919 FIGHT FOR LIFE OR FIGHT FOR DEATH YOUR CHOICE

Rex had been fighting the creatures in front of him. He darted to the side to take a break. When he glanced back, the creatures that were blocking him were dead.

"Either the seal is double sided meaning that the above ground is as dangerous as the underground. Or the seal projects the monsters from above ground to ensure that no back tracking can be done." Rex spoke.

Since he was currently in a spot where he did not want to fight. He could just enter into the hallway to try and rest.

"Fight for Life or Fight for Death. The choice is yours. If you are fighting for Death, leave and return. If you are fighting for Life, stay and fight." An eerie voice echoed.

"I have no idea what I am fighting for currently. Or what it is that I should be fighting. So I want to rest in the hallway. Have a problem with it, come to me." Rex’s reply echoed.

A deafening silence echoed after the first echo. That surprised Rex but he did not know what happened nor why this was going that way. He headed into the hallway and began to recover his Soul Qi.

Outside the seal

The three monsters suddenly died. Their bodies mangled in ways that seemed to defy physics.

The women immediately huddled together. Their eyes focused on the surroundings while Lilith tried to open a new portal to the Demon Realm.

She could not and felt something touch her hair. It tugged and pulled her face upwards. A cloud in the sky seemed to be hungry as it opened up.

Back inside

Rex exited the hallway. He did not see the creatures that were there before. He walked forward. He felt it. The tug that pulled Lilith’s hair.

He felt the way she felt. Something or someone wanting her dead. Rex darted forward. Using nothing but his physical strength. Now, he was going to find the end of the path.

Back outside

Lilith froze as the cloud seemed to disappear. She was confused. Her portal had failed to open. The cloud gone. The feeling of Fight or Flight gone.

It was as if she had just experienced a wave of a daydream. That did not make sense to her.

She found that all of the other women had been knocked out. Not from physical trauma but from something invading their minds.

Lilith did not know if it was from the cloud and Rex being her Soul Mate protected her. Or if there was something else that she had missed happened.

She made sure to slowly pull the others out of the trauma. She started Liz being in her lap. It took almost thirty minutes to completely awaken her. It was strange because the trauma seemed to change along with her.

Once Liz was up, she took a few minutes to adjust herself and realized where she had landed.

Liz tried to apologize. Lilith told her to protect everyone else while she awakened the others.

Liz felt a change in her Qi and found that her Fire Qi was much stronger now than before. Even Lilith did not know about that kind of change.

While Lilith was now trying to awaken Fenggo who was next on the ground. Liz found that one of the massive fireballs she created earlier now did not cost her anything.

That allowed her to create even more without using much Qi. She did not know what happened but was happy that it happened while being upset that the trauma itself was what caused the change.

Meanwhile

Stranger looking and shaped creatures tried to stop the juggernaut running through the pathways. Nothing they did stopped Rex.

Multiple attacks point blank range, multiple traps already set, heck even using more sturdy blockers. Rex bulldozed through them all.

Then he arrived at the final set of pathways. He tried to run but was forced down on his knees. He stood up and walked the force allowing him to walk but not run.

Several statues began to throw stone spears at Rex. Rex dodged most of them and used one on the ground to destroy a couple. He arrived at what seemed like a grand cavern.

Chandeliers seemed to hang from the top, a small waterfall to the left side seemed to be there for bathing or meditation maybe both, to the right of the waterfall a place where wind would blow to dry off whoever was there, to the right side of the cavern a magma pool was there to keep the room hotter than it should be, beside of it to the left was the seal that was above ground.

Rex was confused as to what this place was. Suddenly, a loud laughter echoed through the cavern. Nothing seemed to shake nor did anything seem to shift.

A couple of stomps and a Shadow Person appeared there. Rex was now focusing on trying to win against this person.

"Young little man, you may not believe me. I will say this. You will not win. Even using your Demon King of Annihilation form along with all of your Soul Qi in a single attack."

Rex felt a clump go into the back of his throat. He did not know why someone this powerful could be sealed here and why.

"I have a long story, if you wish to listen and help me. I will guarantee that you and your Realms will be saved. The people living will also be spared. The problem is that you must have a way to complete the Quest."

Rex felt that this was too much. He did not know who or what this person was. How he even knew of the Quest. One thing was for certain though, he had to wait and listen to see what this person had in store for him.

"I’ll listen and decide what I should do first. However, if I believe that you are fooling me. Nothing will stop me from trying to kill you." Rex replied.

"As expected of the one destined to destroy my Race!" The person laughed again.

Rex felt a chill run down his spine when those words echoed.
