Chapter 432: Chased After
After the Superhero Combo and Divine Wind Squad fled far away, they finally stopped, their hearts filled with lingering fear. Most were still bewildered, eyes filled with confusion, but they understood that Ye Fan was an existence not to be provoked and had the power to destroy them.
Fortunately, the leaders of both the Superhero Combo and Divine Wind Squad made swift and wise decisions. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been as simple as losing two men; if Ye Fan had been given enough time, the casualties would have been unimaginable.
"Is that bastard Ye Fan really that scary?" someone asked.
"Two of our comrades are already dead. What do you think?" another quivered with fear as they questioned.
Only the leaders of the Superhero Combo and Divine Wind Squad survived attacking Ye Fan, and thus, they knew exactly what had transpired. Issuing the command to escape seemed foolish at first, but it was actually extremely clever.
"Killing with a coin, it's truly shocking." The Divine Wind Squad leader exclaimed, having long since cast aside any thoughts of underestimating Ye Fan and his group, knowing they had no right to do so, even if they didn't want to admit it.
"Yes, we came here confidently to deal with the problem, thinking we could eliminate the threat, yet never expected such an outcome." The leader of the Superhero Combo smiled bitterly, "We underestimated him. With Ye Fan's strength, we have no right to provoke him. Now we've completely offended him, so we must prepare for what's next, or we'll face endless problems."
"We must report this back and drop any plans to invade Chu Group's territory." The Divine Wind Squad leader hurriedly called Okamura Jiro, and the Superhero Combo leader did the same.
"How could this be?" Habson and Okamura Jiro were dumbfounded upon hearing the details and, in their panic, ordered a full retreat of those planning to seize the Chu Group's business territory.
Thus, with their momentum halted, the two companies immediately withdrew all contact with the Chu Group.
"What should we do now?" Habson and Okamura Jiro's minds were filled with complex thoughts.
"Let's each return for now, and we'll discuss everything else later." The Superhero Combo and Divine Wind Squad parted ways.
About ten minutes later, the Divine Wind Squad stopped, and their leader looked into the dark night while pondering, "I keep feeling like someone is secretly following us."
"I feel it too. Could Ye Fan and his group be pursuing us?" someone quickly agreed.
Ninjas have unique expertise in reconnaissance, so such a discovery was expected.
Indeed, someone was following them. It was Ye Fan, stealthily tailing them.
"Maybe we're just overthinking this. We witnessed Ye Fan's strength, and it's left a shadow in our hearts, causing this illusion," someone said. "I can't believe Ye Fan has the guts to follow us. Why would he?"
"We can't be careless." The Divine Wind Squad leader thought for a moment, then instructed one person, "You stay here and investigate. We'll move ahead, and you follow behind to see if you can find any traces."
"Understood." The person nodded solemnly.
The Divine Wind Squad, originally six in number, now had five since one had died. Four moved ahead swiftly, with one trailing behind.
Half an hour later, the five regroup at one point, with the Divine Wind Squad leader frowning slightly and asking, "Did you find anything?"
"No discoveries whatsoever," the person at the back said decisively.
"Was it just my imagination?" the Divine Wind Squad leader whispered.
"Captain, I really think it was just your imagination," one person said nonchalantly. "Ye Fan is strong, but not so much as to become a monster. In terms of reconnaissance, each of us is formidable. If he had been following us, we would have known."
"Perhaps it was indeed my suspicion. Ye Fan left a shadow in my heart, causing this uneasiness," thought the Divine Wind Squad leader, feeling ashamed for having such thoughts.
The rest of the journey was much smoother, and the Divine Wind Squad didn't think twice as they headed straight for Okamura Jiro's residence.
In a building, surrounded by many guards for protection, the Divine Wind Squad's five members appeared one by one next to Okamura Jiro.
Okamura Jiro looked at the five, his gaze cold. Even though he knew the missing one had died, he couldn't help but feel sorrow and involuntarily hate Ye Fan. The six members of the Divine Wind Squad were his foundation for survival, each one irreplaceable, and losing even one was a huge loss.
"Who would've thought the opponent was so formidable, making our losses so great," Okamura Jiro said with a dark gaze. "I had hoped to take down the Chu Group in one fell swoop and kill Ye Fan and others. But who could've imagined that the carefully planned trap would be so easily broken."
"At this point, we can only think of another way. It seems it's not easy to eliminate this enemy," the Divine Wind Squad leader spoke slowly. Despite their reluctance, given the opponent's strength, there seemed to be no other way.
"Since we've become enemies, it's either they die, or I die. That's the unchanging truth," Okamura Jiro snorted coldly.
Just then, a cold voice said, "Naturally, it's you who will die."
"Who is it?" Okamura Jiro's eyes narrowed as he looked in the direction of the voice.
Everyone in the Divine Wind Squad and the guards stared in the same direction.
There, Ye Fan walked leisurely, his gaze icy, and a faint killing intent began to spread.
"It's you?" The five of the Divine Wind Squad widened their eyes in astonishment. "Impossible, there's no way you could've silently followed us without being discovered."
At this moment, how could the Divine Wind Squad not realize that Ye Fan had been tailing them all along, leading him straight to Okamura Jiro?
Ye Fan's purpose was simple—it was to kill Okamura Jiro.
Especially the Divine Wind Squad leader, his heart trembled as he muttered, "His methods are too powerful. I originally thought the unease I felt was just my imagination. But no, it wasn't my imagination. There was indeed danger following us."
"Damn it," Okamura Jiro cursed internally, then furiously shouted, "Kill him, kill him for me."
The guards rushed forward, surrounding Ye Fan.
Meanwhile, Okamura Jiro drew the Divine Wind Squad close to his side, without saying much or thinking twice, he immediately thought about escaping.
Thus, under the Divine Wind Squad's protection, Okamura Jiro was the first to escape.
To send the Divine Wind Squad to encircle Ye Fan—such a foolish action was something Okamura Jiro wouldn't do.
The priority was still survival.
Furthermore, now that Okamura Jiro knew Ye Fan's prowess, there was no way he would risk sending the Divine Wind Squad to kill Ye Fan.
