CHAPTER 118: – IT’S NOT A DREAM –
Viviana felt blinded by the morning sun. As she groggily blinked her eyes open, she pressed her palms against the bed, pushing herself up on the bed. Her hair poured all the way to the bed and she stared at the floor length window with a drawn open curtain. Then slowly turned her head to stare at Nikolas who was fast asleep next to her.
It was real. Last night was all real and wasn’t some dream.
She’d told him she loved him and there was no taking it back. Not that she wanted to.
Reaching out, she brushed her palm over his forehead, pushing off the thick strands of his dark brown hair. He felt so different when he slept. Like some quiet harmless angel.
The contrast of how a man could be so beautiful yet so dangerous at the same time.
Digging her teeth into her bottom lip, she leaned in briefly, kissing him. Then she pulled back, stared at him for a few moments and proceeded to impulsively get on top of him.
Viviana pressed both palms on either side of his head, bending until her face hovered over his. "Nikolas."
He didn’t wake up.
"Nikolas." She kissed the edge of his lips and this time he woke up, blinking his eyes up.
His gaze locked onto hers and he lifted a brow. "Well, good morning to you too, my lady."
She rolled her eyes.
"What are you doing?" he asked, lowering his gaze down to the little space between their bodies.
"What does it look like I’m doing?" Viviana straightened up, hand coming up to run through her hair. "Just a little bit of fun."
"Oh?"
He narrowed his eyes on her.
"But you were the one who called me an unsatiated animal. You begged me to stop, and now you’re going to do this?"
She clicked her tongue at him. "This is different. You were going to kill me."
"I wasn’t."
"Yes, you were. You just wouldn’t get satisfied. I can’t even remember how many times we went at it."
Nikolas blew off the strands of hair that had fallen over his forehead to his eyes.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Viviana said, pressing her palms on his chest as she proceeded to carefully go down on his length.
Nikolas groaned with teeth gritted. She hissed, head falling forward with her breath stuck in her throat. She was never going to get used to the size of him.
Nikolas reached to grab her, but she slapped his hands off. "No."
"What? Why?" He stared at her like a husband in trouble.
She shot him a withering glare. "This isn’t your fun, but mine."
"What does that mean?"
"Youe hands above your head," she demanded.
He rapidly blinked at her. "Viviana—"
"Hands above your head, Nikolas," she ordered. "Now."
"You—Fine. As you wish." Nikolas complied, throwing his arms above his head. He was watching her with a dazed expression, sitting, trying to get used to him with her breaths puffing softly out through her mouth.
Viviana met his eyes. "Stop looking at me like that."
"Like what?" His hooded eyes moved from her face, trailing all the way down to her belly that just so beautifully accommodated him, His hands moved—he wanted to touch her.
Viviana, however, glared at him. "Move that hand and I’ll make you regret it."
"Are you punishing me or something?" he asked with a desperate tone, his eyes squeezing shut in a jolt of pleasure as she began to move her hips. "What did I do? This will be so much better if you let me touch you."
"Stop talking," she bit out with a mix of moans, her lips falling apart as her breathing began to quicken.
"You’re such a fast learner." He tried to smirk even as his face was twisted with the bliss rushing through his body. "Don’t you want me to touch you?"
"I said no—mfph."
Viviana’s head fell back, her sounds rolling freely out of her with no restraint. Her eyes widened, her breaths were growing so much rapidly. And Nikolas was watching, his shoulder to his neck, to his ears were tinted with a reddish flush.
"See how obedient I’m being? I am really keeping my hands to myself." He sounded pained.
Viviana forced herself to look at him, despite the pleasure that was driving her out of her senses. And that probably might have been a mistake, because seeing the look on his face—seeing a man like him make that kind of face while pinned under her, it made her see stars.
Her body trembled above him, stomach tightening and she breathed out his name over and over again until she couldn’t speak anymore.
She tried to catch her breath and when she did, she lifted her gaze only to find him staring at her. "Can I move my hands now?" he asked.
"W-what do you me—"
Nikolas cupped her cheeks, slamming his lips to hers. And while he kissed her, he went deeper inside of her and she faltered, gasping into his mouth.
"Nikolas, wait."
And he did.
Viviana dropped her palms into his, having his hands by either sides of his head, before weaving her fingers with his.
"You’re torturing me," he sounded desperate.
"Beg me first," she breathed.
"You’re a wicked woman."
"Don’t you want to touch me?"
Nikolas swallowed thickly. "Please, let me touch you. Viviana, please let me move."
Her lips pressed into a thing line to stifle her smile. "Fine—"
He shot up into a sitting position, and that only made him move in deeper than he initially already was. Wrapping an arm around her back, he palmed the back of her head, brushing his lips against hers as he began moving.
Viviana was panting.
"Tell me you love me."
"I love you, Nikolas."
"Tell me that you love a monster like me."
"You’re not a monster, Nikolas." She was breathing heavily. "I love you."
"Your words."
His eyes drooped shut as he buried his face into the crook of her neck.
"Your eyes."
Thrust.
"Your affections are only for me."
Kiss.
"My hope."
Kiss.
"My smile."
Kiss.
"All that I am, are only for you."
Viviana’s pupils shrunk at every word he said.
"I’m unable to feel alive without you, I can’t even tell if my heart is beating or not." He wrapped his arms around her, plastering her body completely to his frame. "I missed you. I love you. You make me so complete, that even now, I wonder if you’re going to slip through my fingers. If maybe I’m going to wake up from this, that seems like a dream and you’re not here. That you’ve never been here, and that it was all just in my head. But if this is a dream, I quite don’t really wish to wake up. I’d rather keep sleeping."
He felt some beads of hot liquid drop against his shoulder. He quickly pulled back, cupping her face with a panicked expression. "Wait, wait, why are you crying? Did I say something wrong?"
Viviana shook her head. "No."
"Then why are you crying?"
"I’m just happy," she said, sniffling. "I feel very happy."
Nikolas’s eyes slowly flickered, lips falling apart as he gazed at her in silence.
"A-and it’s not a dream," she added. "It’s not."
Nikolas brushed her hair off her face, tucking them behind her ear. He had so much he wanted to promise her, but promises were just words that could be broken far too easily.
He would rather show instead.
