My Primordial Demon System
Chapter 13: Dinner
CHAPTER 13: DINNER
Before he could call her, he heard her voice.
"Bro!" she yelled. He turned to see her, there she was, running toward him. It seemed she was done with school and had come home.
She stopped in front of him, bent over, huffing and puffing, sweat dripping from her face.
"Why did you run so much, stupid?" Silva asked. She looked up, shooting him a vicious look.
"Who the hell are you calling stupid?" she asked, then rushed at him. She tackled him to the ground and sat on his chest. "Try saying it again," she said, a smug look plastered on her face.
Silva smiled, then pushed himself up. She clung to him with all her might, desperately trying not to fall, but he managed to stand.
He grabbed her and pushed her off his body. "You need a few more years before you can be a threat to me," he said.
She stared at him. "Is it me, or are you stronger, bro?" she asked, then came close immediately. She grabbed his hands and started checking out his arms, inspecting carefully to ensure she saw everything.
Silva grabbed the back of her clothes and pulled her back. "Let’s go in, sis," he said. She gave him another look, then nodded and headed for the door.
He followed her through the reception and to the elevator.
"The guild really went crazy with the house," Silva said. The elevator arrived on their floor, and they walked out. She took out a key card and opened a door for them to enter.
The door unlocked, and they walked in. The inside of the room was simply stunning, white walls, neat and smooth, lights lining the wall, beautifully hidden yet releasing a soft glow.
There was a massive TV in the sitting room, black chairs and couches. It was clean, and he liked it.
He walked in and immediately dropped into a chair.
His sister looked at him, a soft smile on her face. She was happy to see him relax, he had been through a lot in only a few days.
"I’ll go shower and change, bro. Feel at home," she said and walked away. She entered one of the rooms and closed the door behind her.
Immediately after the door clicked, Silva got up and looked around the room. "There is no way the guild hasn’t been watching her," he muttered, then immediately used his sensing. He scanned the sitting room over and over but found nothing.
Still, his gut told him there had to be something. So he focused again, and this time his demonic energy boosted his sensing further, and he finally saw them.
A small metal building accessory on the stand under the TV and one hidden in the fabric of the curtain.
He walked over, took the metal piece, then moved to the curtain. Running his finger carefully near the top, he found a small bump. He pulled that one out as well and placed it in his pocket.
He walked back to the center of the room and immediately started scanning again. He was feeling fatigued after using it this much, but he refused to stop. He had to make sure his sister was safe.
After another hour of searching, he finally found another one in the kitchen island, hidden well under the marble slab. He rushed there, took it out, then headed to the second room, where he found another.
He removed it too, and as he was walking out of the room, he saw Ella walking out in a loose jersey and shorts.
"Bro, what’s wrong?" she asked after seeing the suspicious way he came out. But he waved his hand. "It’s nothing, sis, just checking the room," he said and glanced at her room.
’I have to check in there. There might be cameras, those sick fucks, watching her in her room,’ he thought, clenching his fist. The idea of more cameras in her room made him sick to his stomach.
She noticed something was off with him, but she didn’t say anything. She just nodded. "Okay," she said and started walking away.
Silva stepped out of the room and shut the door. "Uhm, Ella, I was thinking you and I could go out tonight for a nice dinner," Silva said.
She paused, then looked back. "Dinner? The guild stocked this place. I can get you dinner here," she said.
"No, no, that’s not it. I want to take you out for dinner, a treat for you. You’ve been working hard for as long as I can remember, cooking, taking care of the house, and more," he said, looking down at the ground.
"You’ve had a lot of stress on you at such a young age. I want to start showing you my thanks, okay?
That period of you struggling has ended. Now allow me to spoil you a bit, okay?" he said.
She stared at him, unsure of what had gotten into her brother. She looked at him for a few seconds. "Alright, bro," she said with a soft smile. She walked to the living room, lay down on the couch, and stretched out completely.
When he was sure she wasn’t looking, he rushed into her room. Carefully searching with his sensing, he found one camera, it was hidden in a trinket, pointed directly at the bed.
"Those sick fucks," he muttered, clenching his fist. He walked toward it, picked it up, put it in his pocket, and walked out of the room, carefully closing the door.
He walked back to the sitting room and saw his sister watching a movie. Smiling, he snuck up from behind the couch, leaped over it, and slammed into her.
"Arghhhhh!" she yelled, trying to attack him, but he turned and pinned her, a wide grin on his face.
"Hehehe, I told you it would take you years to be better than me," he said happily.
