My Primordial Demon System
Chapter 18: Tiger claw
CHAPTER 18: TIGER CLAW
The next day, the sun came up as usual and Sva was already up. He took a bath and stood in front of the mirror with only a towel on his waist, and he was stunned by what he saw.
The person in the mirror was him, but different. Nothing extreme had happened, aside from the fact that he was crazy ripped, his entire body was toned with slim, tense muscles.
He flexed his arm a little and he was impressed, but there was also one little difference: there was a purple tint in his eyes. His eye color was changing and the shape also began looking demonic.
It wasn’t something someone would notice easily, but it was still there. He would have to find a solution later, for now it was an issue that could be pushed off.
He got dressed in a casual black hoodie and pants, with simple running shoes, grabbed his phone, and headed for the door.
Bam bam bam.
His sister slammed into the door just before he opened it.
"Oh, come on Ella, you are still doing this?" he asked.
"Why wouldn’t I?" she asked. "Your life is boring, just hunting and whatever, you need me for the spice," she said.
He unlocked the door, and before she could move away, he grabbed her and put her in an arm lock.
"Hey, stop that," she struggled, flailing her hands.
"Hehe," he let out a laugh before letting go of her. She was already in her uniform, which meant she was off to school.
"I’ll be going now, bro. I made breakfast," she said, got her stuff, and left the building. He headed to the dining table and spotted the freshly made pancakes and a bottle of chocolate by the side.
So without hesitation, he dug in. As he did, he pulled out his phone and checked the current news. And the first news he saw was that the gate he had entered and seen that demon was now rated an S-ranked gate.
Which made it the twentieth S-ranked gate in their zone, the Lumis Zone. The Lumis Zone had thirty states within it. It wasn’t a very large zone, but it was pretty big in size.
And it was also a very popular zone due to the fact that it held the fourth position as the zone with the most S-ranked gates.
Silva’s town was called Ribest, and it was a smaller town in the Lumis Zone, and it had never had a single S-ranked gate, well, up until now.
Silva kept reading the article to learn more.
"The Red Lion Guild, the Golden Dragon Guild, and the Rising Phoenix are all sending their representatives to come and check out the gate.
Tsk, they only come to places like this when there is much to gain," Silva said.
Those three were the top guilds in the Lumis Zone. The guilds were not as big as the Awakened Guild and they all still had to follow and obey the Awakened Guild.
He read the last part, and there was something that pulled his attention.
"Elena Grimhold will be leading a party to check out the gate?" He was stunned to see that. Who was she? She was one of the strongest Awakened in the entire Lumis Zone. She was hailed as the Sword Saintess, an S-ranked Awakened, who was also believed to one day rise beyond that.
Silva took a big bite out of his pancake and left the site. He had read enough. None of that had anything to do with him either way. His goal now was to get stronger and give his sister the best life.
He finished up and immediately left the house. The moment he stepped out, he sensed someone watching him, but he couldn’t tell what the person looked like or exactly where they were.
He started walking with caution, but after a while, he could no longer sense the person, so he took a taxi and headed into town.
He headed to a weapon shop that he had come across before, but he couldn’t afford anything there at the time.
If he wanted to take down the monster more effectively, he needed a good weapon. Fighting with his fists was too dangerous.
He got out of the taxi and headed for the door, but then, for a moment, he felt as if whoever was watching him was back.
He looked around, trying to spot anyone, but there was no one and he didn’t feel the presence anymore, so he forgot about it and walked inside.
The shop was pretty decent inside, racks and shelves with different weapons, a few people inside checking out weapons.
He walked through the shop, seeing swords, daggers, armor pieces, and lots more, but nothing caught his attention until he finally spotted something that fit him perfectly—some gauntlets which had claws at their fingers.
It looked like it was made of steel but it was very well made. He walked close to it and checked the details below:
(Tiger Claw, 8000 credits, handcrafted, one of one.)
When he saw the price, he took a step back in shock. That would literally empty him out. But he didn’t know if he would see it here if he came back another time, he had to do it now.
He was about to buy it when suddenly, "That’s a pretty decent gauntlet, perfect fit for close quarters." A man spoke from behind him.
Silva turned and saw a tall, slim man in a suit, jet-black hair, with sharp eyes.
He took a few steps forward and stood beside Silva. He pointed at the gauntlet, "You would have to have a lot of speed and strength to see the benefits of this gauntlet," he stated.
"You seem to know much about close-quarters combat," Silva said.
"Yeah, I know a thing or two, I’ve had my fair share of battles," he said, then stretched out his hand.
"My name is Riker, leader of the guild branch around this part of town," he said.
