CHAPTER 40: A FAVOR

Silva walked into his room, leaving them in the sitting room. He took a shower and by the time he got dressed and came out, Amber and Noel had already left.

"Where did your friends go?" He asked.

"Noel was too scared of you to stay and Amber, I had to chase her away," Ella said.

"Hmm, I didn’t mean to scare him," Silva said and crashed into the couch.

"Really? So those glares were for what?" She asked, sitting next to him.

"What did you expect? I just discovered you have a boyfriend, and I don’t even want to start the whole talk of how come and when," Silva said. He relaxed into the chair more.

"Just be careful, sometimes the love you have isn’t fully reciprocated by others. Also, inform him that if he touches you, I’ll use everything on earth that I can to harm him," Silva said.

"Come on, bro." She tried to complain.

"Not hearing it," he said and turned his head away. She pouted and punched him in the rib. "Ouch, that hurt."

"I wish it really did," she said.

Bang! Bang!

A banging came from the door. Silva got up immediately and used his sensing, and there he saw Peter almost collapsing to the ground, bruises and wounds everywhere on his body, and his entire clothes torn up.

Silva rushed to the door immediately and flung it open. "Peter!" He grabbed him and helped him back up. Peter could barely stand, covered in wounds.

"Ella, clear out the couch and warm a bath," Silva said. She listened and rushed in.

Silva carried his friend on his shoulder and laid him on the couch. The moment Peter hit the chair, he passed out.

’What could have happened to him?’ Silva thought, then he recalled two other times that Peter had gotten beaten up—black eye, swollen face—but he would always wave it off as nothing, just saying he got into a small issue with his brothers.

No matter how Silva tried to learn what was happening, he couldn’t. Peter would never let go of the information.

After the bathroom was ready, Silva cleaned him up and laid him in the bed. Ella stood by his side.

"What do you think happened to him?" She asked.

"I don’t know, but I swear this time I’ll kill whoever did this," Silva spoke, his fist clenched.

Cough, cough.

Peter slowly woke up, his eyes opened and he looked around the room. He saw Silva and Ella standing there and he immediately propped himself up. The pain shot through his body and he collapsed back. Ella rushed to help him while Silva just stood there watching.

Peter lay on the bed, then turned his head to look at Silva.

"Hey, bro," he said, forcing a smile.

"What happened?" Silva asked right away.

"Come on bro, I just woke up, can’t it wai—"

"No, it can’t. You came to my house bleeding and half dead, so don’t expect me to sit and wait for you. I’ve waited enough," Silva spoke, his tone was heavy.

"It was nothing bro, I just got in a fig—"

"If you say a fight with your brothers again, I’ll help them finish what they started," Silva threatened.

"Harsh, bro," Peter replied. He took a deep breath. "I guess this time it went overboard, there is no hiding it." Peter closed his eyes for a few seconds, then slowly opened them and spoke.

"It was indeed my brothers, but it wasn’t a fight, they beat me up. My brothers, Riker and Legion, travel with my father.

I’ve never really been fond of them because they take after my father. Yesterday, when I finally got back home, they disrespected our mother. I called them out and they dragged me out.

My father watched with a cold glare, tch, he told me that a man should bear the consequences of his own actions.

It’s funny how a few days back you were telling me to finally make up with him, and then he does this," Peter said.

Silva balled his fist as he heard this. He took a deep breath to calm himself. "Peter, what do you want now?" Silva asked.

"Haha, nothing bro, at least I’m still ali—"

"I SAID WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT? CUT THE BULLSHIT!" Silva yelled, his eyes glowed for a moment and the walls of the room shook.

Peter and Ella were stunned by his shout.

"I’m sick and tired of it, so answer me truthfully. What do you want?" He asked.

Peter looked away, a tear dropped from his face. "I want them to finally get a taste of what they give me and my sisters.

My father feels untouchable because he owns major stocks in a massive company, and lots of connections, tsk," Peter said.

"Great," Silva said and walked toward the door.

"Bro, what are you planning? My father has tons of awakened guards, you can’t get close," Peter said.

"I can’t, but I know someone that can. I’ll make sure you get what you want," Silva said and walked out. He slammed the door and got to the sitting room.

He plopped down onto a couch and pulled out his phone. He looked at Elena’s number there, took a deep breath and placed the call.

"Hello, Lady Elena, I need your help."

(Ohh, that was fast,) she said.

"Yeah, something came up," he said and went ahead to explain the situation to her and what he wanted.

(I see, then I’ll get the three of them for sure. But this is an illegal issue any way you look at it, so I’ll ask for a really good favor when the time comes.)

"I understand, and I’ll do whatever you ask," he replied.

"Great, then I’ll contact you the moment it’s all ready," she said, and he hung up. He leaned back into his couch, clenching his fist harder.

"I’m guessing you have something planned out already," Ella asked as she approached from behind.

"Yeah."
