CHAPTER 209: SHE APPEARS AGAIN!?

"Only a Level Nine Telekinetic and so young! You truly are the finest man in this world," the Emperor of the Falcon Empire said with a thumbs-up.

Both emperors smiled warmly at him, seemingly having forgotten the ominous sensation they had felt just moments ago.

Zarek observed them in silence, his gaze calm.

"Thank you, Your Majesties. But my achievements are nothing compared to your own."

"Haha! How about coming to my empire instead?" the Falcon Emperor said with a hearty laugh. "I’ll grant you the highest noble title, Duke, without a question!"

"The highest title?" Zarek murmured. The rank of Duke stood above all and below one, the king.

It was a title reserved only for those with royal blood, a privilege most could only dream of. And now, it was being offered to him without a second thought?

Tempting, at least for most people. But not for him.

Why settle for a duke’s title when his sights were set on the entire human race?

And then, there was another reason...

Zarek turned his gaze toward Kaeric. As expected, the man was already fuming. With a thunderous stomp, Kaeric struck the ground, causing it to tremble violently.

"Are you trying to steal my people right in front of me?" Kaeric growled, fury blazing in his eyes.

"Well," the Emperor of the Falcon Empire said thoughtfully, tilting his head with an air of innocence. "I never thought of it that way."

"That’s right, you bastard! So now pay up!" Kaeric bellowed, his voice alone shaking the very air. "Compensate me for trying to steal my people!"

"Oh? Compensation?" The Falcon Emperor’s brow twitched, and his expression twisted with disgust. "Your daughter blocked a Telekinetic Grandmaster from our army, which led to the Dragon Princess and her groom fleeing to the Dragong Kingdom and you want me to pay? Your daughter should be hanged at the guillotine!"

"You..." Kaeric growled, fury surging in his voice.

The air thickened with tension. In that moment, it felt as if the two paragons might clash at any second.

But they didn’t duke it out, yet. Instead, they stood in silence, staring at each other.

Just then, a gust of wind swept through the air, and an unbearable holy light descended upon them.

"Why is this bitch here?" Kaeric spat, his vulgar tone a sharply contrasted to his regal demeanour completely now.

’This guy has more temper than his daughter,’ Zarek mused, his gaze shifting to the newcomer, a woman with long golden hair, a blindfold covering her eyes. She wore what resembled a priestess’s robes, radiating a powerful holy aura.

Just one look was enough for Zarek to recognise her.

She was the woman responsible for delaying the Dragon Hunting Festival.

She was Mirabella, the priestess who directly served the Human God, feared across the continent and nicknamed by the people as the Witch of Disaster.

You might wonder why a priestess bore such a dreadful title. It was because she possessed a strange, terrifying ability, one capable of unleashing catastrophic destruction.

Once, an empire dared to offend her. In response, she summoned a monstrous tsunami that swallowed the entire nation, wiping it off the map.

From that day on, no one dared to provoke her. The name Witch of Disaster became both a warning and a legend.

This knowledge came from Drayken, who was well aware of her power. On her own, she was comparable to a Telekinetic Paragon, or at least someone with equivalent strength.

Coupled with her strange abilities and a fanatical cult that followed her, it was safe to say that few dared to offend her, not even other Telekinetic Paragons.

"I’ve come to retrieve this person."

Mirabella spoke with a chuckle as her eyes landed on Zarek.

"Hmm?" Kaeric paused, glancing at Zarek before turning back to face Mirabella, the Witch of Disaster. He spoke in a serious tone. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah," Mirabella replied softly, her tone gentle but laced with nonchalance.

"But why do you need him?" Kaeric asked with a firm and serious voice.

"Because he has the purest human bloodline. I suspect he might be able to lift Excalibur."

"Lift Excalibur?" Kaeric narrowed his eyes. "Didn’t you once say it would take a decade for him to appear? That he should still be a baby by now?"

"I know," Mirabella replied calmly. "But prophecies can shift or there might have been some kind of disturbance. If the Dragon’s Chosen One has already appeared, then perhaps ours has too."

Her voice was serene, but her words sent a chill straight into the hearts of both Emperors.

"The Dragon’s Chosen One?" The Falcon Empire’s Emperor could no longer maintain his composure. "Are you saying that the man with the long red hair who is the groom of the princess, Drayken, might be the one?"

"Yeah," Mirabella said, staring straight at him. "His growth is simply terrifying. When he first appeared, he was only fighting among the younger generation and even then, he performed extraordinarily. But now, he has enough power to compete with a Telekinetic Grandmaster?"

"This shouldn’t be possible," Kaeric muttered inwardly, his expression tightening. Dragons may be stronger, but they take much longer to mature.

Strength like this, in such a short time, defies logic.

"Yes," Mirabella continued, turning her head toward Zarek. "In the entire human race, only one person has ever shown such rapid growth."

It felt as if she were peering directly into Zarek’s soul, even through the blindfold that covered her eyes.

"Hahaha!" Kaeric suddenly burst out laughing. "As expected of the general of my empire!"

"..." Zarek’s brow twitched in response.

"Of course, he’ll need to lift Excalibur as well. If you can’t lift it, then there’s no point." Mirabella chuckled lightly.

"Excalibur...?" Zarek murmured, then quickly bowed his head. "I’m not the chosen one. Please forgive me."

"Are you sure?" Mirabella’s voice was deep. "If you are, every kingdom would follow your command without question."

"No." His voice was firm, resolute. "I want no part of it."

"Very well," she said with another soft chuckle.
