My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!
Chapter 276: Stopping Spells!?
CHAPTER 276: STOPPING SPELLS!?
It didn’t take him much effort to use lightning, and the skill Monster Creator was even more natural. He hadn’t even used a bit of his reserve but had already forced Eleanor to become desperate.
The lightning dragons tore through the air, slithering forward like snakes and directly appearing in front of Eleanor.
Even though it was right in front of her, Eleanor was still completely unfazed by it, her crimson pupils looking straight at the lightning dragon without a single trace of fear.
The mana surged around her and rumbled from the sheer fuel needed to activate her spell. However, just then, the mana froze mid-air, and it became much more constrained...
She paused, and her pupils were drawn over to Drayken, who was extending his hands forward with a smirk on his face.
Her eyes widened in terror as she thought of a terrifying possibility...
"He can control and block my mana?"
Before she could even process the realization, the lightning dragons were already upon her, their claws moments away from absolutely destroying her.
Eleanor gritted her teeth and scoffed. The very next moment, her body transformed into a dragon, and all the lightning dragons attacked at the same time.
Bang!
A loud, booming sound reverberated. Dust rose from the ground, covering the entire scene and making it very difficult for one to even perceive anything.
Of course, that was only for normal people. Drayken looked at all the burnt wounds on Eleanor and shook his head even more dismissively.
Although his Lightning Dragons were powerful, Eleanor was, after all, a Rank Seven Dragon, you couldn’t underestimate her at all.
Swish!
A storm brewed and blew all the dust around Eleanor away, revealing her burnt state, with arcs of lightning still circulating around her.
Drayken looked at this and spoke in an even more mocking tone:
"You’re so weak that I’ve forced your hand with just a simple attack of mine."
"Hmph." Eleanor coldly looked at him with her dragon pupils, then opened her jaws to release a terrifying roar.
Shockwaves burst out, putting faint cracks in the ground.
Drayken certainly felt challenged. He opened his mouth and released a beastly roar of his own—the arena almost completely broke apart because of it.
"H-How?" Eleanor spoke with a trembling voice, a hint of disbelief in her tone.
"It’s called magic," he smiled, then pointed his palm forward.
The clouds in the sky grew even denser and struck Eleanor’s body without mercy.
But with her strong dragon body, she completely withstood the damage and slithered through the air before launching herself at Drayken once more.
Drayken extended his hand, casting his Aura Spell, followed by Aura Projection, forming a lightning-forged katana. With a swift motion, he slashed at the descending Eleanor.
Eleanor took the hit, the lightning tearing into her, but she still continued her descent and struck him with her claws.
"Hmm." Drayken narrowed his eyes. He could have ended the fight with his Aura Lightning, but that wasn’t his goal.
He sought not a short-term victory, but the ignition of his bloodline through the deep hunger of battle. How could he back away so easily?
He extended his hand and caught the dragon’s claws, trying to stop her charge as he was forced backward.
But how could mere mortal flesh withstand the full force of a dragon?
Drayken was pushed back, leaving a deep trail in the ground until he crashed into the arena wall.
But then he stopped, managing to completely halt Eleanor’s descent right before him.
Eleanor raised her dragon brows in surprise at the sight. "How strong is your mortal flesh?"
"Enough," Drayken grinned, fighting spirit burning in his eyes. Using every ounce of strength in his body, muscles tensing, he began to push her back, bit by bit, under her widened gaze.
Feeling the terrifying force pushing against her, Eleanor was compelled to retreat. Her disbelief was barely contained:
"H-How...!?"
Step by step, Drayken forced her back toward the center of the arena, each footfall cracking the ground beneath him from the sheer pressure he was exerting.
After they returned to the center of the arena, Drayken took long, labored breaths. His body was exhausted from the strain he had endured, a dragon’s strength, especially that of a Rank Seven Dragon and one of the best at that rank, was not to be underestimated.
Eleanor looked at him silently with her dragon pupils. She didn’t resist, on the contrary, this was perfect for her. Now that he had lost his stamina, she saw her chance. In the next instant, her tail swung and struck Drayken without mercy.
Drayken groaned under the weight of the blow and was launched through the air, crashing into the arena wall, nearly embedding himself into it.
"You’re quite weak in this form. Take your true form," Eleanor said in a deep, commanding tone.
Drayken fell to the ground, grunting and taking deep breaths.
"Yeah, I am weak."
"So, what are you going to do?" she asked, narrowing her dragon eyes.
"I’ll fulfill your wish, of course," Drayken replied with a smirk.
In an instant, his figure began to change. His mouth elongated into a snout, his bones and muscles expanded, and his body shifted, where once there were two legs, now stood four.
Drayken had transformed into a massive, majestic white-scaled dragon. His draconic pupils scanned Eleanor, glowing with fighting spirit.
His height now matched hers, though you must understand, Drayken was only a Rank Five Dragon, while Eleanor stood at Rank Seven. The disparity should have been impossible.
"Come fight me," he grinned.
Bang!
There were no words. The two dragons clashed in an instant, the impact unleashing a deafening boom, as if a nuke had landed.
Whenever Eleanor tried to channel even a fraction of her magic, Drayken promptly blocked it with his authority over mana, rendering her almost completely powerless against his attacks.
Meanwhile, Drayken continued to wield his Aura and the title Martial Advance, which elevated his combat ability beyond expert level, allowing him to brawl on equal footing with a Rank Seven Dragon, meeting her head-on without hesitation.
Their massive dragon bodies clashed again and again with brutality, none of them holding back.
