CHAPTER 277: END IT ALL!?

"The Dragon Prince can really fight a Rank Seven Dragon."

The dragon people murmured in disbelief, hardly able to believe their eyes.

To be able to go toe-to-toe with the Dragon Lord while being only a Rank 5 Dragon was simply unheard of.

Though many had trusted the rumors, deep down they thought it was a bit exaggerated. But now, seeing Drayken truly matching Eleanor’s power in dragon form, how could they doubt it?

Witnessing this miracle only deepened their fascination and loyalty toward the Dragon Prince.

It was safe to say that Drayken’s prestige had reached unimaginable heights in the hearts of the dragon people here.

As the fight continued, it grew even more fierce.

Claw against claws.

Jaws against jaws.

They were exchanging attacks left and right.

Drayken moved his dragon body perfectly, minimizing unnecessary movement and taking the very least amount of damage possible.

However, even still, the difference was too much. Even with all his titles and skills combined with his bloodline, the gap between Rank Five and Rank Seven was too great.

His dragon body grunted as the damage kept accumulating from the occasional unavoidable hit from Eleanor.

If Drayken used Aura Lightning, it would be a completely different scenario; however, without it, it was very difficult to fight on equal footing with her, and he was gradually leaning towards losing it all.

Sensing the serious injuries all over his body and the blur clouding his consciousness from the damage, Drayken felt an unexpected excitement course over him. Not because of the pain, of course, but because his dragon bloodline was hyperactive.

His bloodline roared with fighting spirit, boiling within him even as he was injured.

’I am so close,’ he thought the more he fought.

Eleanor wasn’t in her optimal state either. His white claws had dug deep into her dragon form, leaving various injuries across her scales.

Thousands of wounds covered her dragon body, though none as severe as Drayken’s.

Although there were fewer wounds on his body, all the wounds were deep and almost life-threatening.

Eleanor’s dragon brows twitched with annoyance. This man was frustrating to fight—he avoided almost all her attacks and never allowed her to land a satisfying hit. Although the injuries were deep, not a single one was in a fatal area.

’It is as if he can read every single movement of mine.’

Growing more frustrated by the second, Eleanor roared again and tried to claw Drayken, but he moved like a slippery eel and countered with his tail, hitting her right in the face.

Eleanor roared but was met with a bite from Drayken right at her neck.

She roared again, this time, the roar of pain with widened eyes.

Then both of them descended from the skies, their giant bodies almost falling like comets.

Her huge form flailed wildly but never managed to reach Drayken, while Drayken’s jaws sank deeper into her tough neck until he ripped through a layer of skin and pulled out.

"Ahhh—"

Eleanor cried out in pain.

Bang!

They crashed to the ground, sending a cloud of dust rising and engulfing them both.

The dragon people watched in anticipation, waiting for the dust to settle and reveal the two figures.

When the dust finally cleared, the dragon people stared wide-eyed.

They looked as if the two dragons were locked in a fierce battle on the ground. The white dragon stood tall and proud, a torn layer of skin hanging from his snout, but without golden blood gushing everywhere. The other lay on the ground, her neck ripped open.

"Drayken..." the old man raised his hand, swallowing hard before finally mustering the strength to speak. "Drayken wins."

"Ohhhh!"

The cheers of the dragon people echoed loudly, causing the entire area to tremble beneath their voices.

Drayken shifted back into his human form, and the piece of torn flesh fell to the ground. His bulky body, draped in long white hair, collapsed beside the puddle of golden blood.

Suddenly, a blue dragon swooped into the arena and transformed into a gentle, beautiful woman with flowing blue hair. She hurriedly ran toward Drayken, tears glistening in her eyes, and lifted him into her arms.

"You didn’t have to push yourself so far."

Drayken barely opened his eyelids. "I’m so close to reaching Rank Six. I can almost feel it. If I fight one more match... no, just one more—I’ll definitely make it."

"You’re planning to fight again?" Synthia asked, her voice trembling with tears.

"Of course," Drayken said, pointing to himself. "I have to get stronger."

"Alright, if you say so." Synthia sighed softly, shook her head, then steadied him with her shoulder. Together, they slowly walked away.

Drayken turned toward Eleanor and sighed in his heart. At this moment, her condition was the worst, especially since he had used his Aura in the attack.

It was very difficult for her to heal. With the vitality of a dragon, even if the heart was taken, they would still recover.

So, of course, him just ripping off a layer of skin from her neck didn’t kill her.

But Eleanor would definitely take a long time to recover from the injuries because of this.

This was all the grievance he had poured into that attack for Eleanor.

From now on, Drayken held no grievance toward Eleanor. He wouldn’t actively seek to harm her, but he wouldn’t necessarily forgive her either.

’Sigh, I am too soft-hearted. I should have killed her.’ Drayken consoled himself while being in the loving embrace of his wife.

After walking twenty steps, he suddenly stepped out of her embrace and stretched his recovered body.

"Ah, it feels good," he muttered.

"..." Synthia observed Drayken’s completely recovered state and was beyond stunned.

"You know what... I’m not even stunned."

"Hey, why do you sound angry?" Drayken said. "I’m still injured. Hold me quick, Synthia." Saying this, he tightly hugged her.

Synthia felt Drayken’s embrace and was utterly stunned on the spot before a gentle smile appeared on her face.
