CHAPTER 70: WHO THE HELL WANTS TO GET TOUCHED BY A MAN!?

Others might not have noticed it, but Leon did. There was a slight change in Amber’s voice and tone when she addressed Wei Xiao. Even the way she looked had changed.

For others, she was always rude like this not because she was intentionally doing that. It was just her nature. She didn’t care about anyone’s opinion, so she never bothered to be polite with them.

It was an indifferent kind of rudeness.

But this time, it was intentional. It was directed at this man named Wei Xiao. Leon knew him too, as one of the few renowned A-Rank Alchemists. He was from the Great Wei Clan of the Shenyuan Sector.

And the Wei Clan was known for producing many geniuses in the field of research and development, which also included the medicinal side, so it wasn’t surprising that someone like Wei Xiao came out of that clan.

’Wait! A clan which is famous for producing geniuses in research and development,’ Leon repeated the words in his mind and stared at Wei Xiao, finally seeing some similarities between them.

They were very few and subtle, but as a highly perceptive man, Leon noticed them easily and cursed under his breath, ’Damn this luck! We were just talking about them yesterday and he appeared today? What are you, Joe Hendry?’

He finally understood why he was feeling weird by looking at this man. He was somehow related to him, and there was a high chance that Leon’s biological father was actually from the Wei Clan.

Leon sighed and decided to step in instead, "Amber, why are you arguing like a kid?"

"Who even asked for it?" Leon rolled his eyes, once again surprising everyone. "Even I don’t care about it, so just take a chill pill and let’s do what we came here to do."

’This guy... he really is perceptive. He understood everything so quickly. But what’s with that nonchalant reaction?’ Amber really wanted to open his head to see if he was pretending or if he was really indifferent to his paternal family.

"Uhh, you’re right. Let’s finish it quickly so I can leave this place as soon as possible," Amber nodded in understanding.

That once again threw everyone off. They were really questioning the rumors and everyone’s words that said Amber was reckless and never listened to anyone.

Clearly, she was listening to a youngster almost a decade younger than her.

Minji had been in the government for a long time, so she quickly took the opportunity to change the topic before things turned worse between them again.

You can take any material you want and prepare four sets of potion. You will have three hours, so even if you fail a few times, it’s fine. But we will need to check you first."

Leon nodded in understanding and spread his hands open. Elodie came forward and was going to check when Amber stopped her.

"You’re letting a woman check a man? Really?"

So he took a deep breath and said, "Miss Minji is very professional, so I’m sure I can trust her. You don’t need to worry, Miss Amber."

Minji tensed up and turned to look at Amber. Only after getting her approval did she move and check Leon, first with machines and then by herself.

True to her character, she was very professional and didn’t even try once to take advantage of Leon.

It certainly made Leon a little disappointed, but he was still happy that he stopped Amber on time.
