CHAPTER 80: VENTING OUT ANGER

Amber was honest when she told Leon that she danced with insanity. That was because her control over herself was very high, and even in the worst situations, she could tap into that insanity and use it before discarding it.

There was a reason people gave her the title of Mad Flame Empress.

But what nobody knew was that it made her incredibly sensitive to her emotions, which became the reason for her straightforward personality.

Anger was one such emotion, and she felt it bubbling inside her since she also became incredibly sensitive to it. If she let it accumulate inside her, it would surely affect her in the future.

This was why she always took her emotions out to keep herself free from everything. That was how she managed to keep herself sane even after touching insanity so many times.

Currently, her anger was rising high above, and she knew she needed to vent it out. This was why she sent Leon home and came to this remote island in the Pacific Ocean.

She could have gone to the Primordial Expanse, but there was something stopping her from doing so.

Raising both of her hands in the air, she closed her eyes as a transparent curtain began to fall from the heavens all around her.

It draped over the clouds and began to approach the surging waters. It didn’t take long before the curtain reached the sea, but it didn’t stop there.

It continued to spread even further down into the sea, and when it encountered some monsters, it would pulverize them in an instant.

Before long, Amber opened her eyes and muttered, "That should do the job for the moment."

Then, she cracked her neck and looked at her hands. With a grin plastered on her beautiful face, she turned towards the island spanning dozens of miles.

She kicked the air behind her as if it was a solid thing and shot towards the island at an incredible speed that would allow her to dodge even light-speed attacks.

In an instant, she crashed into the island like a falling meteor, making a deafening cracking noise fill the air, which was followed by a loud explosion that shook everything around the island.

Cracks began to form across the island before it exploded into smithereens.

One second.

That was what it took for the giant island to explode out of existence, leaving a gaping hole in its place where the sea water began to surge and pour like a waterfall.

It was against the natural laws, but since when did the Ascended begin to follow the laws? They had always experienced the Ascension and weren’t mortals anymore.

The hole was a few miles deep, and at the centre of it stood Amber with a crazed smile on her face.

"It isn’t enough, but it should do it for now," Amber whispered under her breath. "But have I gotten weaker? It should have been destroyed quicker."

She shook her head and jumped out of the hole, feeling much better now. Her venting out of emotions was always like this, and she mostly did it in the Primordial Expanse, but a few times it also happened on Earth.

Once she was outside, she admired her work and went out of the barrier but didn’t dismiss it. She knew a destruction of such scale would surely affect the Earth or at least the surrounding continents, but the barrier would keep it isolated.

And she didn’t want to deal with the consequences.

Amber took out her old phone and dialed a number. Soon, it was picked up after a few rings, and a sleepy voice came from the other side.

[What is it? If you dare ask for some drinks, I swear I’ll come there and spank your ass.]

Amber choked on her words and looked speechless at her phone. Then she complained, "Am I really that bad in all of your eyes? Why do I keep hearing this from everyone?"

[Oh? Who else has such great eyes to see the real, annoying you.]

"It was Morgon," Amber replied, her lips twitching at the way Jade spoke, but she couldn’t even do anything to this Senior Sister of hers.

[Hmm, I’ll need to meet her and offer her condolences. Not everyone can handle your tantrums.]

"Why are you saying it as if I’m a spoiled child?" Amber snapped.

[Aren’t you? Master always spoiled you the most among us.]

Amber pursed her lips as she had no counter to it. She was the youngest among them and was spoiled by everyone, including her master.

"Weren’t you the same?" Amber asked.

[Are you reminding me of my mistakes?]

Amber took a deep breath and asked, "Jade Cross, I want to beat you, so can you lower your level and fight me."

[Sure.]

She rolled her eyes at this Senior Sister. Who was the one talking about spoiling before? Wasn’t she doing the same now?

She just had to ask once, and Jade was willing to get beaten up for no reason but just because she asked.

"Then you say I’m the spoiled one." Amber snorted.

[I’m sure I can afford a spoiled brat. All the people surrounding me are stiff anyways. They always behave as if they’re in a war or something.]

Amber was going to say something but heard a noise from the phone before the panicked voice of Jade came back.

[H-How can it be you? You’re the best here. Who dares to say my father is stiff? Want some beating?]

Amber laughed out loud hearing that as she knew who exactly Jade was talking with. After all, there were only three people who Jade was scared of.

After a few seconds, Jade finally managed to get out of her predicament and talked with Amber.

[Phew! That was a close call. Do you know he almost sent me to kneel outside? Can you believe it? He doesn’t even care about image.]

"Heh, serves you right!" Amber was basically gloating at this point and also felt her anger disappearing completely.

[Aren’t you being too cheeky today? What happened?]

"I hate you!" Amber clicked her tongue.

[And I love you. I thought we already established these facts. Now move on to the main topic. What happened?]

"Uhh, that reminds me, I’ll send you coordinates, so can you handle this situation please?" Amber asked, giving a side glance to the gaping hole in the sea.

[What did you do?]

"Nothing much. Just destroyed an island. No big deal!" Amber even whistled to show her nonchalance.

[Now I really want a match-up with you.]

"Hey!!"

[I’ll handle it. Now tell me what really happened?]

Jade knew Amber more than this woman knew herself, so how could she not know that Amber vented out her anger like this? But that also meant something happened that was enough to make her so angry.

"And this is why I hate you," Amber sighed. "I hate perceptive people... well, maybe not all."

[Get to the point before I get there and smack your empty head.]

"I’m getting there," Amber rolled her eyes and began to tell everything she and Leon had discussed.

Jade was definitely the one most familiar with this unknown enemy, so Amber didn’t think twice before approaching her. Besides, it involved Silver, so if she didn’t tell everything to Jade, then she might really get some beating from her.

At the end, she asked, "Who is it anyways? Who has so much patience?"
