"Of course not!" Ye Xin shouted, "You two are actually the first guests to come since I returned, since I married Yang Chen, and since I moved into this house. I couldn’t welcome you more! Quick, quick, quick! Have a seat and wait, Yang Chen and I will have the food ready in a jiffy!"

Seeing Ye Xin so excited, Wei Xueqing’s face showed a brief flash of discomfort as she sat down at the dining table.

Yang Chen resignedly went back to cooking with Ye Xin.

"Oh right!" Ye Xin quickly got up and fetched the prepared wine glasses from the cupboard.

The two of them were in perfect harmony, completely embodying a couple, enviable to those watching.

Yang Chen poured the wine, giving each person a glass.

Then he sat down, raised his glass, and said, "Thank you, thank you for coming to our home, you’re welcome here."

"Welcome, indeed!" Ye Xin raised her glass and smiled.

Seeing the happy expressions on the two faces, a bitter taste rose in Wei Xueqing’s heart.

"Blessings to you!" Wei Xueqing gave a slight smile, raising her glass to them, then downed it in one go.

Sun Yue noticed how swiftly Wei Xueqing drank, so she naturally didn’t want to fall behind, raising her glass and finishing it too.

Yang Chen felt his scalp tingle.

Ye Xin chuckled and did the same.

"Try the Wellington Steak first, it’s not as good when it’s cold," Yang Chen suggested.

The three women weren’t shy and dug in instantly.

With one bite, their taste buds were filled with something called happiness.

Every taste bud, every nerve for taste, was utterly conquered by Yang Chen’s steak. They had never tasted a steak as delicious as Yang Chen’s.

"So tasty!" Ye Xin couldn’t help but praise, "Husband, you’re amazing!"

Yang Chen smiled slightly. He really was at his best today; the saying ’a man and a woman work better together’ couldn’t be truer, especially with someone as beautiful as Ye Xin lending a hand in the kitchen, making the most of his culinary skills.

"Really delicious!" Wei Xueqing nodded too, "You could be a top chef."

Wei Xueqing thought for a moment and added, "If you have nothing else going on, maybe you could consider opening a small restaurant. These kinds of foreign restaurants are very popular, and I can help fund it."

After speaking, Wei Xueqing looked at Yang Chen expectantly.

If so, maybe they could often work together.

Yang Chen was stunned, not expecting Wei Xueqing to propose something like that.
