Sun Yue was taken aback, hearing someone seemed to be crying nearby.

She turned her head and found Gao Hong looking so sad that his face was almost twisted, his mouth wide open like a chicken’s backside, extremely unsightly, tears flowing down his eyes mixed with the rain.

Obviously, Sun Yue couldn’t understand their feelings, but she somewhat understood. Just like when they aimed to join the special agents team for their dreams.

Gao Hong asked Sun Yue for two more umbrellas and walked over.

A few people saw Gao Hong approaching, glanced up, then continued sitting on the ground, heads lowered.

Gao Hong opened umbrellas for each of them and placed them on their shoulders.

After doing all of this, Gao Hong sat down on the ground despite the rainwater and said to the few, "You guys go back first. I will persuade the boss!"

Hu Zi’an glanced at Gao Hong, stood up holding the umbrella, voice hoarse and filled with despair, "No need, from today onward, Wolf Fang will not have me as a person."

After saying this, Hu Zi’an lowered his head and left.

Gan Wei, Hu Mingxuan, Bai Lei, Guan Xiaoke, Wei Peng all followed suit, shaking their heads, leaving with the umbrellas, dejected like walking corpses.

No one could understand their emotions at this moment, even Gao Hong couldn’t fully grasp it.

Not only did they fail to return to Wolf Fang, but even the last bit of proof left on them by Wolf Fang was taken away by Yang Chen.

The last trace on them was erased, how is living any different from being dead?

"Let’s go, time to go back." Sun Yue looked at their backs and tugged Gao Hong.

Gao Hong paused, then turned around and walked forward in large strides.

Soon, they returned to Elder Zhuo’s courtyard entrance.

Sun Yue saw Gao Hong standing still at the entrance, unable to help asking, "Why not go in?"

Gao Hong didn’t use the umbrella, just stood in the rain, which worried Sun Yue a bit.

She noticed that Yang Chen didn’t even lift his head, seemingly oblivious to Gao Hong’s shouting outside.

At this time, Gao Hong shouted again, "Wolf Fang Great Hong requests to see the Captain!"

Sun Yue could hear it very clearly while standing there, she couldn’t believe Yang Chen couldn’t hear it.

"Yang Chen..." Sun Yue wanted to ask him.

"Explain what?" Yang Chen said flatly, "Sometimes the more you explain, the more complicated it gets, better not to say anything."

Sun Yue opened her mouth but couldn’t utter a word.

She knew well about the relationship between Gao Hong and Yang Chen; sometimes explaining might make things harder than not explaining.

If Yang Chen were to say he’s going to rescue Ye Xin, and might not return, what would Gao Hong do?

There would only be one result: Gao Hong would follow Yang Chen to rescue Ye Xin at all costs, even willingly dying in battle!

But Yang Chen couldn’t do this, so he preferred to let Gao Hong misunderstand.

Watching Yang Chen, Sun Yue gently shook her head; she was quite envious of such feelings. Back during training, they too had camaraderie, even when they later joined work.
