My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 111: Sleep Later
CHAPTER 111: CHAPTER 111: SLEEP LATER
He glanced at the time, only a few seconds left, and then his gaze moved towards the direction of the bedroom. He suddenly got up and strode towards the bedroom.
In the past, after Melody Thorne was bullied, she would appear in his bedroom after leaving the Quinn Family, or hide in his wardrobe, just to continue to tempt him.
The men in black below glanced at the locator in their hands and suddenly discovered that all the different shadows of Melody Thorne, which were scattered around, had disappeared, and the last location was the Quinn Family.
The men exchanged a look, it seemed the little madam was destined to lose this time.
Jared Quinn opened the bedroom door, first looking at the large bed in the bedroom, then lifted the quilt, all within a few seconds.
No, there was nothing on the big bed.
His hand then opened the wardrobe, followed by the bathroom door, even under the table.
Nothing, nothing, all empty.
Jared Quinn’s cold-blooded heart, which had never changed, was feeling something being slowly extracted, gradually becoming emptier, colder, as the veins on his arms began to bulge and gather.
It was as if there was immense anger that needed to be vented.
He was used to finding that entangled shadow in every corner, quiet, malicious, with little cleverness...
But, no!
"Bang!" The luxurious carved wooden chair in the bedroom was thrown out of the window.
"Looking for me?" Melody Thorne leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, looking at the man inside, her voice carrying the lazy tone of just waking up.
She saw the man inside searching everywhere for her, and she felt inexplicably... pleased!
In the previous life, he wouldn’t care about whether she’d disappeared, or even acknowledge her existence.
Though it’s just a game now, he might only be playing to win, but the outcome is the same.
She had to tell him that the past was over, and she wouldn’t linger for him anymore, nor like before, no matter how he drove her away, she would return to what belonged to him.
Jared Quinn turned around, seeing her in an off-white rabbit pajama, yawning, a wave of anger churned within his chest.
He got injured on the bridge while she, unexpectedly, was at home sleeping!
"Xinxin, why get up so early?" A little one appeared behind Melody Thorne, with drowsy eyes just like hers, imitating her stance with arms crossed, leaning on her.
"Behave, sleep some more later."
Melody Thorne looked at the angry man inside, lifting her wrist slightly, "You lost."
It’s just past eight o’clock by a minute.
Jared Quinn pursed his lips tightly and strode towards the woman at the door.
Melody Thorne looked at him, the fear from the past life made her heart tighten deeply, but she couldn’t allow herself to retreat in front of him, absolutely not!
She stubbornly met his gaze, wary of his next move.
Jared Quinn, without saying a word, caught hold of her arm, his eyes bloodshot, staring intensely at her.
"Let go of me," Melody Thorne felt pain at her wrist and struggled, but no matter how she struggled, Jared’s hand remained firmly on her.
She became somewhat anxious, feeling particularly repelled by the sensation of being controlled by him, especially when her hands were restrained, which made her feel extremely insecure.
Melody Thorne stood on tiptoe and lunged forward to bite the man’s chest, she originally intended to bite his neck, but he was too tall for her to reach even on tiptoe.
