My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 114: Married Woman
CHAPTER 114: CHAPTER 114: MARRIED WOMAN
Her emotions and actions startled the boys sitting around her. Even Kiki Sutton was surprised by her intense reaction, but seeing Melody Thorne’s expression, she guessed it was because Hans Montrose had returned.
[Come out] Melody Thorne sent another message.
[I’ll give you three seconds, if you don’t come out, don’t ever come out to see me again] Melody Thorne replied angrily.
If he’s back, why act so secretively?
Three seconds had passed, but still no one came out. Melody Thorne angrily tossed her phone onto the table.
A few boys glanced at her reaction and quietly nudged Kiki Sutton, "Her boyfriend?"
Kiki choked a bit, not wanting Melody Thorne to attract more admirers, because she always attracted many suitors, "Sort of, so you guys better not have any designs on her."
Because she is a married woman.
The boys "..."
Keith Lawson downed a glass of wine.
"Ding" Melody Thorne’s phone rang again, but she didn’t check it.
Kiki Sutton grabbed her phone and opened it, seeing the message, "He said he isn’t back, but this western restaurant we’re at is his."
"Really?" Melody Thorne’s face finally improved a bit.
"Yes," Kiki Sutton handed her back the phone.
Melody Thorne picked up her chopsticks and continued eating, as if nothing had happened, but the boys around her were visibly losing their appetite.
Kiki Sutton glanced up; in the window of a private room upstairs, a man appeared now and then. His burgundy suit was particularly striking, his charming eyes deep and unreadable...
He had indeed returned, but he couldn’t keep pestering her. He needed to find a new way to appear in her life, to be her steadfast support like before.
Kiki Sutton gulped quietly. If she could, she’d rather blind herself and pretend she didn’t see anything. If Melody knew she saw Hans Montrose and didn’t tell her, would she strangle her?
After finishing eating, the boys left with a lack of enthusiasm.
Kiki Sutton pulled her to the set of her new show. An actor, especially one just starting, needs to arrive at the set early to get to know the crew if they want to stand out.
"Why did you bring me here?"
"I’ll introduce someone to you later," Kiki Sutton said, "Since you’re joining the crew, you might as well get familiar with us first, so you won’t be without a clue when Ivy plays tricks on you after you two join the same crew."
Melody Thorne chuckled. Only Kiki would worry about her like this. Even if Ivy doesn’t take action against her, she won’t let her go. She will take revenge, bit by bit, for past grudges.
She glanced at the time, thinking about the man who left without a word in the morning. He should be home by now, so she’d go back later and avoid running into him.
Suddenly, there was a commotion in the crew. Melody Thorne turned her head—it was Sheryl Lancaster. She was somewhat famous, hence grand in her ways, even entering the crew surrounded by a large group.
What a small world.
Melody Thorne got up to leave, but Sheryl Lancaster had already seen her and walked over, "Well, isn’t this Melody Thorne?"
Hearing her name, Melody Thorne turned back, "What? Do you need something?"
Such a disdainful look immediately darkened Sheryl Lancaster’s face. She turned to the screenwriter and other crew members, "Is she part of this crew too?"
