CHAPTER 116: CHAPTER 116: LET’S HAVE A CHILD

Melody Thorne immediately covered her stomach to shield it from his gaze. Here, there would never be a child of Jared Quinn!

Perhaps seeing her expression of rejection, Jared Quinn’s already rugged and stern face instantly dropped to an icy point. He stepped heavily and walked in, coincidentally standing right behind Melody Thorne, and very close to her.

Melody Thorne took a step forward, the man behind her also followed up a step, and he moved closer, with half of his body pressed against her back.

The contrast between his 1.88-meter sturdy physique and her petite 1.65-meter frame seemed like heaven and earth resonating, looking quite fitting.

Old Mr. Quinn squinted as he watched the interaction between the two, almost breaking into a smile, "Melody, you absolutely must promise grandpa, or if grandpa doesn’t have a grandson, he surely won’t rest in peace."

Melody Thorne turned back to glare at the man pressed against her, stepping onto his leather shoe without a hint of expression, "Grandpa, don’t worry about this matter, trust us, the two of us have plans."

Plans to go their separate ways.

"Really?" Old Mr. Quinn’s eyes immediately lit up.

"Mmm," Jared Quinn rested an arm around her waist, answering for her, and tightened his grip on her waist,

his palm burning with a magical flame, scorching hot.

Melody Thorne said, "I’ll go call the waiter to bring the meal over."

She turned and headed outside,

but Jared Quinn also turned with her at that moment, saying softly, "Let’s go together."

Out of the hospital room, the act was no longer needed. Melody Thorne moved Jared Quinn’s hand away from her waist, turned back to him, "In the future, when acting, don’t come so close to me!"

She resented him being too close because the dormant soul within her body always gravitated towards him.

"Is that so?" Jared Quinn narrowed his eyes, the hand she moved away returned to her waist. With a swift turn, he pinned her against the wall, his deep, pitch-dark eyes locking on her.

"What exactly do you want to do?" Melody Thorne was a bit anxious, especially now that she was trapped by him.

Jared Quinn stared at her for a moment before speaking, "Let’s have a child!"

Melody Thorne widened her eyes at him, thinking she must have heard wrong. For a fleeting moment, her heart pounded wildly, particularly when meeting the man’s profoundly deep gaze, her mind was a chaotic mess, her heart pounding like a deer.

Just like the first time she saw him, becoming infatuated and obsessed with him.

But, those feelings had long been buried by him.

Melody Thorne curled her lips into a cold sneer, "Sorry, my X-function is dysfunctional, roads are blocked, no desire for men, completely asexual, so you’d better find someone else for this."

Jared Quinn nearly wanted to seal her lips, but he could clearly see from her shifting emotions that she was indeed still concerned, just as she used to be, "Wouldn’t it be good to be Mrs. Quinn properly?"

Melody Thorne bit her lower lip, casually winding her slender white fingers around the man’s tie, "But, now I’ve found that there are actually many handsome men in the world, not just you. I think I might have fallen for someone else."

Jared Quinn’s hands behind her began to tighten, the previously calm black eyes surged with waves, the surrounding temperature rapidly dropping, "Who?"
