My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 128: Was It Sent by a Man?
CHAPTER 128: CHAPTER 128: WAS IT SENT BY A MAN?
"Mr. Young," Sheryl Lancaster stomped her foot in anger. How could she possibly apologize to someone who couldn’t even break into the C-list.
"Be good, go quickly," Kenneth Young coaxed her.
Since entering the entertainment industry, Sheryl Lancaster had never apologized to anyone. How could she bring herself to do it now?
"I will never apologize!" Sheryl Lancaster gritted her teeth, not giving Kenneth Young any face and walked away.
"You!!" Kenneth Young was also infuriated and followed her with large strides.
Melody Thorne entered Kiki Sutton’s hospital room, scrolling through her phone.
"Melody, you shouldn’t be impulsive," Kiki Sutton spoke. "Offending a popular star before you even enter the entertainment industry is not beneficial for you."
"I’m not the only one who’s offended her now," Melody Thorne looked down at her phone. "Since we’ve offended her, let’s do it thoroughly, leaving no room for doubt."
"What do you mean?"
Melody Thorne handed over her phone. She had Jean Gage release a photo just now, and Jean Gage did not disappoint, the article gaining much resonance in a short amount of time.
[When I worked with her last time, my face was swollen]
[Me too, I still have bruises on my arms]
[I almost got a concussion]
[Sheryl Lancaster is really professional, I was actually whipped by her]
One post after another went up, and someone even attached photos, filled with hidden sarcasm.
......
Two days later, at the registration desk.
Melody Thorne stood in line at the back of the crowd, Ivy stood not far from her, and after the incident at the hospital last time, she’d become much more restrained.
"It’s really quite pitiful..." someone spoke behind her in a ghostly tone.
"Indeed, I heard she has no family left."
"How does she survive then? Could she be kept by someone rich?"
The people behind her looked in her direction, just short of naming her specifically.
Even at a registration office, everyone else had someone with them—boyfriends, girlfriends, family—but in comparison, she seemed a bit shabby.
Melody Thorne’s gaze remained fixed ahead, her expression cold.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Thorne?" a staff member from the registration office approached Melody Thorne.
"What’s up?"
"Someone sent you flowers," the person shoved the flowers into Melody Thorne’s hands.
Melody Thorne "..."
She stared at the red roses in her hand, not smiling, and glanced around trying to find a trash can.
After submitting her information, she walked toward the trash can.
"Miss Thorne, someone sent you flowers," another person put a rose in her hand.
A lot of people around were watching her, some envious, some jealous.
"Miss Thorne, someone sent you flowers."
"Miss Thorne..."
"Someone sent you flowers."
"Miss Thorne..."
Throughout the registration process in the building, someone kept handing her flowers at every step.
Every single one was different, and by the end she could no longer hold them all.
"That’s way too lucky, isn’t it?"
"Why is it that nobody gives me flowers on such an important day?"
"Was it a man who sent them?"
Ivy’s face darkened with an eerie chill, and she strode over to the florist to buy the most expensive bouquet, walking back with it in her arms, announcing as she walked, "Mine is prettier, Jared sent it to me."
"Wow, Ivy, you’re so lucky too?"
Melody Thorne glanced over at the mention of Jared Quinn, feeling a pang in her heart...
"Hans Montrose!"
"Look, it’s Hans Montrose."
The crowd suddenly became agitated.
"It’s really Hans Montrose, he’s back in the country, he’s actually back."
Melody Thorne glanced at the crowd, but could only catch a glimpse of a tall figure in a maroon, immaculately tailored suit walking down a path guarded by security.
