CHAPTER 15: CHAPTER 15: THIS IS PERFECTLY NORMAL

Melody Thorne suddenly found herself meeting the man’s deep, cold eyes. They looked like a calm and placid sea, yet turbulent currents surged underneath, layers upon layers, as if they could swallow her whole in the next second.

Melody’s heart abruptly tightened and thudded, as if under the forceful gaze of his eyes, she had fallen into a sea of fire, unable to struggle free. The fear of this man from her past life once again clamored to take over her body.

In this life, she was desperate to escape, yet everything that happened seemed to be related to this man over and over again!

He was like a giant net; no matter how much she wanted to distance herself from him, as soon as he slightly drew the net tighter, she still couldn’t escape his grasp.

"Between a husband and wife, having something... is... is quite normal," she clenched her hands tightly, averted her eyes, and forced out that sentence.

"Damn! What exactly is it?" Timothy Lockwood glared at Melody with a hint of anger; he was just about to see it, yet this woman deliberately frightened him!

Everyone’s eyes were fixated on the camera in Jared Quinn’s hands.

Even little Timmy’s eyes were wide open.

But Jared showed no immediate reaction. After a few seconds, he simply said, "Confiscated!"

Timothy: "!!!".

Ivy: "!!!".

"Phew," someone silently breathed a sigh of relief,

Though Jared did not look directly at Melody, the shadow of her presence was caught in the corner of his eye throughout, including her little expression as she just sighed. Those dark and elusive phoenix eyes of his were particularly dangerous.

Confiscated! Just confiscated! And those anticipating drama clenched their fists secretly; this wasn’t the outcome they wanted.

Look? Why didn’t he look?

"Ivy, if there’s nothing else, you can leave. I’m tired," Melody issued the order to leave.

"Oh, hehe, then, I’ll leave first," Ivy awkwardly forced a smile, this wasn’t the result she wanted to see at all!!

Melody couldn’t quite fathom the man’s thoughts at the moment; he was always unpredictable.

In her past life, because of this matter, she was thoroughly despised by Jared, yet in this life, he didn’t even look.

Including the time she was reborn and couldn’t do anything with him, all was off the expected trajectory.

"Timmy, the tutor is here," the butler announced.

Timmy sighed, looked mournfully at his daddy, then unwillingly got off the chair to follow the tutor into his room for the lessons.

She remembered that in her past life, after Ivy revealed the nude photos she had taken, Jared was extremely furious and had the servants drive her out of the Quinn Family. At that time, she was heartbroken and couldn’t even attend the early training for the new play, resulting in her being replaced in the role, while Ivy became an instant hit thanks to the role.

By listening to her back then, not only did she make Jared despise her to the extreme, but she also got kicked out of the Quinn Family. Her love was gone, and her career hit rock bottom, and she was forever trampled underfoot by Ivy.

Melody headed upstairs. She had to change her clothes, and after yesterday’s fuss, Jared had the servants prepare clothes for her.

"Quinn, Melody is really putting on an act this time," Timothy scratched his chin while looking at Melody’s figure. "First time she faked for half a day, time before last she faked a whole day, and the time before that a day and a half. This time she might last two or three days before revealing her true self!"
