My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 160: A Fatal Incident
CHAPTER 160: CHAPTER 160: A FATAL INCIDENT
"Remember," Melody nodded,
as the props team helped her put on the wire harness, moving up and down slightly to ensure no accidents would occur.
The director and screenwriters explained the scene again, considering they were all just out of school. They had them rehearse the moves on the ground first.
"Alright, start," Director Irving commanded.
"Ling Xiao, you promised me that if you conquered the world, you would never betray or deceive me. Now, not only have you done both, but you’ve also committed senseless murders. Just as I, Willow Bright, helped you conquer this world, I will take it back. If you have the guts, come out. What kind of skill is hiding?" Willow Bright coldly challenged, descending with her white long sword.
"Kill her, kill this witch who seduces the emperor!" Jade Day shouted.
Willow Bright was surrounded by soldiers. She killed a few, stepped on one of their shoulders to leap into the air, spinning and twirling gracefully. As her red skirt flared, her sword aimed for a luxurious tent, four guards suddenly flew out, engaging her in mid-air.
Gradually, Willow Bright was at a disadvantage. Jade Day seized the opportunity to try a sneak attack from behind.
As the sword was about to pierce Willow Bright’s back, Willow suddenly realized, turned around, and with a sword slash, Ivy’s wire harness unexpectedly lowered. Her sword barely touched Ivy’s harness when it abruptly snapped, and Ivy fell from mid-air.
Melody looked down, seeing Ivy flashing a smug smile at her.
Since she wouldn’t give up the lead role, no one else should perform either. She would rather have the film come to a halt than let Melody play a supporting role.
A wave of exclamations followed,
Below was a river. She wouldn’t be hurt from the fall, but the current was swift. Ivy disappeared immediately.
"Save her, save her quickly!" Director Irving’s face changed.
All the men who could swim jumped in, but the river was rapid, and none dared venture too deep. Not even a glimpse of Ivy was seen.
The scene was chaotic, Director Irving’s expression drastically changed, hoping no casualties would occur on the very first day of filming.
"Search, everyone go find her," he ordered.
Melody descended from the air. Moments ago, she saw Ivy fall into the water and never surface again, not even once. Was she swept away by the river?
The river was swift, who knows where she might have been taken. She finally understood why in her past life she died at Ivy’s hands, it was because she wasn’t ruthless enough!
"Melody Thorne, what happened? Didn’t you practice the moves? How could such an accident happen!" the martial arts instructor scolded coldly.
Melody turned her head, eyes icy cold, "Even if you were below, you should have seen clearly, right? Ivy’s wire harness suddenly descended for no reason, causing my sword to break her harness. Isn’t it your job to inspect the wire harness since it broke so easily?"
Normally, wire harnesses are made of steel wire and shouldn’t break so easily.
The director immediately replayed the footage, but due to the angle when shooting Willow Bright’s reverse sword, and people blocking the view, there was no capture of Ivy’s unexpected descent.
Because of the angle, however, it captured Melody’s arm raised a bit high.
"No, we didn’t find her," said the group sent to search for Ivy as they returned.
