My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 167: You’ll Get Hurt
CHAPTER 167: CHAPTER 167: YOU’LL GET HURT
The atmosphere along the way was dangerous and unpredictable.
"Aren’t you afraid that others will notice I’m with you by bringing me back like this?" Melody Thorne asked worriedly.
Jared Quinn glanced at her coldly, slammed the gas pedal to the floor, and sped away. Worried about being discovered with him, but not with someone else?
Who really has the ability to protect her?
Jared’s self-esteem was seriously provoked, and he ripped the tie from his neck and tossed it onto the passenger seat.
"Do you have a phone?" Melody fearlessly leaned over. She wasn’t blind; she was acutely aware of Jared’s subtle changes, and if he wanted to harm her, he’d have done it already.
She felt that Jared was reluctant to hurt her now, so she was fearless.
Jared’s speed was almost flying, yet the woman behind him showed no fear at all—no screams, no holding onto him pleading for him to stop, no intention of diving into his arms.
Even at this moment, she was in the mood to look at her phone.
"Not afraid to die?" he asked coolly, locking eyes with the woman in the rearview mirror.
"It’s an honor to die with you," Melody retorted sarcastically. Even if she fought him with all her might to avenge her past life, she couldn’t win. Dying together would at least prove her strength.
Jared stared at her for two seconds, and the flames of his anger seemed to have been doused with cold water.
The man tightened his lips again, speeding away and drifting.
Melody buckled her seatbelt; he didn’t give her a phone.
"Screech–" The tires scraped against the pavement as they came to a halt.
Melody quickly opened the car door and began to vomit everything she had eaten, the hotpot she just had.
"Weren’t you not afraid?" Jared glanced at her, his expression not looking good.
"Bad driving skills, is it my fault?" Melody wiped her mouth with her sleeve and walked inside.
She couldn’t let anyone see her return to the Quinn Family manor.
The wind whistled around Jared, grabbing her with his big hand and leading her upstairs.
Melody glanced around the hall, Timmy wasn’t there, he must’ve gone to bed.
In an instant, Jared pressed her down, ready to give her one last chance, "Do you know which man to find if trouble arises?"
"I really don’t know which man I can find," Melody replied sarcastically.
Him? Is that possible?
Like last time, when he abandoned her so cruelly?
"Can’t remember who your man is?" Jared asked angrily, his thumb caressing her luscious red lips.
Before he could punish her, she kissed him first. If it was a kiss, why should she be the controlled one?
As soon as she kissed him, Jared’s expression changed, yanking her off him sharply, "What’s that strange smell?"
Melody raised an innocent eyebrow, "Hotpot smell."
"Did you do that on purpose?" Jared angrily pushed her onto the bed, though his anger had already dissipated during the car chase.
He wanted to show her that he was her sky!
Melody defiantly turned over, and the two rolled from the head to the foot of the bed, then onto the floor, with Jared serving as the cushion.
"Melody~" Suddenly, a voice filled the room.
Their bodies stiffened, turning towards the source, finding Timmy hiding in the wardrobe.
Melody "..."
Jared "..."
"Don’t fight, you’ll get hurt," Timmy said sleepily, stepping out of the wardrobe. He had fallen asleep inside and was awakened by the commotion outside.
PS: Haha, Timmy appeared just in time. For the new week, remember to continue voting, fairies, with a sprinkle of cuteness and charm~
