CHAPTER 18: CHAPTER 18: I LOVE TO STUDY

The black dress set off the snowy white skin, the girl’s face was clear and pure with those captivating eyes of many shades, she seemed like a black swan descended from the sky, elegant yet exuding coldness all over.

Her walk carried a hint of allure, yet she was untainted by the world.

"Who is this?" The director could not recognize her at first.

"Is she Melody Thorne?" Many voices of doubt arose.

"Am I late?" Melody Thorne seemed oblivious to how exaggeratedly people were staring at her, biting her lip and smiling lightly, as if she had stepped out of a mural.

"Me... Melody?" Ivy narrowed her eyes sinisterly, sizing her up, walked over and spoke in a voice only the two of them could hear, "Why are you dressed like this?"

"Is it wrong for me to dress like this?" Melody Thorne raised her delicate chin, parted her bright red lips, and stared at her faintly, "Do you think I should wear those clothes that consist of just a few scraps of fabric?"

Ivy had felt since morning that something about her had changed but couldn’t pinpoint it, she forced a smile and said, "I didn’t mean that, haven’t I told you? Men like sexy women, those women out there are all dressed extremely revealing, and men look at them instantly, dressed like this how could Jared Quinn possibly notice you?"

That smile was really too fake.

"Is that so?" Melody Thorne brushed her hair back from her ear, "We’re not inside the Quinn Family, I don’t have to wear those clothes here, if I did, wouldn’t I be laughed at by people? We’re good sisters, you wouldn’t want to see me ridiculed by others, right? Hmm?"

The girl’s voice was completely unaffected, yet sounded extremely soft and sweet, directly melting into a man’s heart, many men’s eyes shifted from Ivy to Melody Thorne.

This contrast made Ivy clench her hand more tightly.

She was just about to say she looked better in those revealing clothes, but the advertisement director spoke up at that moment, "Are you Melody Thorne?"

"Director, I didn’t swap faces, why are you so surprised?" Melody Thorne chuckled, "Actually, I originally thought of dressing casually to come here, but then I suddenly thought of a theme, one that’s very suitable for our campus, and can attract outside students well."

"What theme?" The director instinctively asked.

Ivy gripped her hand tightly but couldn’t interrupt Melody Thorne at this time, could only stand there, clearly she was supposed to be the protagonist, yet she could only stand there now.

"I thought about the advertising script book everyone saw yesterday, a single person can’t really convey much, if two people are used, it would definitely be presented better, like one black one white, one strong one weak, two characters with two personalities would certainly be more attractive."

"What do you mean?" Ivy’s expression was already starting to crack.

"It means today’s advertisement can use two people, but whether the idea is acceptable depends on our director," Melody Thorne voiced her opinion while subtly elevating the director.

"The decision was to use just one person, it’s been decided by the school, how can we use two people? Melody, aren’t you overthinking?"

"No no, I actually think her idea is worth trying, we didn’t prepare small black dresses today in the crew, how about Melody Thorne standing with Ivy to try, see the effect."

"Director..." Ivy was flustered.
