CHAPTER 27: CHAPTER 27: IS SHE EASY TO BULLY?

Melody Thorne’s gaze softened as she held little Timmy in her arms, lying down to sleep. In this life, although many things had changed, Timmy remained the same; he was still as dependent on her as in the previous life.

In the morning, Melody Thorne was woken up by the butler’s voice. They had always had a habit of going to Grandpa Quinn’s place every Saturday.

In her previous life, it was probably her favorite day, because Grandpa Quinn would have her and Jared Quinn stay in the same room, and even drugged Jared to ensure she got pregnant with a Quinn family grandson as soon as possible.

But unfortunately, even though Jared was drugged, he would rather soak in a cold bath all night than touch her.

"Melody~ You can’t possibly be thinking about my dad again, can you?" Little Timmy leaned his head over, glancing at her sideways.

"No way, why would I think about him?" Melody Thorne claimed somewhat guiltily, "Our Timmy is smarter than him, more handsome than him; why would I think about him!"

"Really?" Timmy put one hand in his pocket, giving her a sidelong glance with his small, sharp eyes, exuding an air of a domineering little CEO.

"Really, really," Melody Thorne nodded. She had purposely worn something that matched Timmy’s outfit today, like a mother-son pair, as they walked downstairs hand in hand.

"Oh, ma’am, young master, your outfits today really match," the butler genuinely praised.

"Isn’t this a mother-son outfit?" two servants gathered around, their tone sarcastic.

Melody Thorne never received affection from Jared Quinn in the Quinn Family, so she was quite unpopular here. It was normal for the servants to speak to her disrespectfully and with sarcasm.

"I think she’s just afraid of being kicked out by Jared, realizing her tricks don’t work on the young master anymore, so now she’s desperately using them on the little master."

"Yes, her tricks can only fool our little master," another servant chimed in.

The entire hall seemed to be full of people mocking her, eager to watch her embarrassment, including the abstinent, noble man sitting at the dining table.

He had always watched her being bullied with open eyes and did nothing.

Melody Thorne’s eyes were tinged with a bit of coldness as they swept over those servants, finally landing on the butler. "Butler, I remember our Quinn Family has always been a place with strict manners. When did the servants start barking in front of the owners?"

Upon her words, the two servants’ faces instantly changed. Melody Thorne dared to call them dogs?

"She’s just a shameless woman clinging to a man, thinking she’s someone important, trying to rule this place without knowing her status," a servant scoffed.

"Exactly, she calls us dogs without realizing what she herself is!"

The voices of the two servants were low, but in the hall, they were clearly heard. Almost no one had any intention of helping her.

Melody Thorne’s gaze chilled a few degrees further. Don’t give them a taste of their own medicine, and they’ll think she’s easy to bully, right?

She took a step towards the two servants, stopping just a step away, her delicate pink lips curving into a slight arc. "Say it again."

The sweet, soft voice carried no trace of danger, but Melody Thorne’s gaze caused a sense of panic. For no particular reason, the two servants’ hearts wavered when they met her gaze.
