My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 30: Bad Air
CHAPTER 30: CHAPTER 30: BAD AIR
When she led little Timmy out, Jared Quinn was sitting in the car, casually holding a cigarette between his fingers, with wisps of pale smoke emerging from his red lips and white teeth. His indifferent expression gave off an air of deep mystery.
Seeing them coming out, he merely glanced over blandly.
The butler quickly stepped forward to open the backdoor, "Madam, please get in. The master has been expecting you."
Before Melody Thorne could move, Ivy had already rushed over, got into the car, and patted the seat beside her with a high air of authority, "Melody, shall we ride in this car together?"
Melody Thorne walked over, giving a cold glance inside. Last time, she forced herself to sit by him, but Jared Quinn inevitably made her get out, embarrassing her on the spot.
As the butler thought she was about to get in, she touched the door,
"Bang_" and closed it shut.
The butler "..." It’s over!!
He seemed to have noticed that the young master was deliberately waiting here...
"Timmy, the air in this car isn’t good. Let’s take the car behind,"
"Okay, I also dislike the woman who just sat next to my dad. She has a strange smell, like body odor," little Timmy said seriously.
Ivy’s face turned various shades of embarrassment; she clearly wore perfume! How could it be body odor!!
But more displeased than her was Jared Quinn, the cigarette between his fingers suddenly snapped in two. He hadn’t even confronted the issue about the camera yet, and this woman actually found fault with the air in his car!
"Jared," Ivy tried to say something to ease the atmosphere, slyly pulling down the fabric off her shoulder.
However, as soon as she spoke, Jared Quinn shot her a piercing glare.
Ivy immediately shivered, unconsciously leaning against the door while clenching the car seat tightly.
Though she sat next to him every time, she never had the opportunity to get close—not even in private.
The front car was deathly silent, while bursts of laughter occasionally erupted from the car behind.
At the Quinn Estate.
Old Master Quinn had been waiting in the hall for a while, and upon seeing them come in, his stern expression instantly softened quite a bit.
Jared Quinn walked in first, "Grandpa."
Ivy, who entered with him, also sweetly called out, "Grandpa,"
while handing the butler the wine she brought, "This is our family’s newest brew, and the first person I thought of was you, Grandpa..."
As Ivy was speaking, she suddenly felt something was off beside her. Old Master Quinn had bypassed her, heading to the back, "Melody, Timmy, come quickly, look what good food I’ve prepared for you."
Ivy "..."
She stood awkwardly in place.
"Grandpa," Melody Thorne called out, immediately holding the old master’s hands, her eyes tinged with red. Regardless of the past or now, Old Master Quinn was the person who treated her the best.
It seemed like a long time since she last called him in her previous life.
"Ah," Old Master Quinn responded with a smile,
only for his smile to quickly vanish, his face clouding over, "Why are you crying, child? Did that brat bully you again?"
Jared Quinn’s gaze also landed on Melody Thorne, instantly noticing her reddened eyes and her greatly wronged expression.
