My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!
Chapter 47: Two-Timing
CHAPTER 47: CHAPTER 47: TWO-TIMING
Melody Thorne took off her sunglasses and walked inside.
"Why does this woman look so familiar?" Some security guards at the entrance looked at Melody Thorne but thought they must have recognized the wrong person. The girl who had just gotten out of the car and was walking in was wearing a warm yellow dress, her dark hair swaying slightly as she moved. She wore five-centimeter high black heels, her long legs straight and glossy, with smooth lines—a clear sign of a wealthy heiress.
How could that girl compare to the one in front of them?
"Miss, please," the guard said respectfully.
Melody Thorne curved her lips into a clean, beautiful smile. She really didn’t know that a grand business empire would keep a bunch of idiots. She had only changed her clothes, and these people’s eyes seemed to be blind.
Holding a lunchbox, she walked to the front desk. "Tell Jared Quinn I’m here."
Upon hearing her voice, the two women at the front desk respectfully responded, but quickly changed their expressions when they looked up and recognized Melody Thorne’s face.
Almost everyone here knew Melody Thorne. Who didn’t know that she showed up here every few days to bother their CEO?
"The CEO is not available right now," one woman said, looking at Melody Thorne with disdain. Who did she think she was to dare to call young Jared by his name?
"If he’s not available, I’ll leave, then?" Melody Thorne raised an eyebrow indifferently, a gleam passing through her black pupils. She wasn’t keen on seeing that man anyway.
"Hurry up and leave," the woman sneered at her.
Melody Thorne turned to leave, but a few people entered from outside—Ellie Thorne and Terence Thorne.
Ellie’s gaze was momentarily stunned when she saw Melody Thorne, almost unable to recognize her. Looking at Melody’s beautifully natural oval face, she wished she could rip it off and paste it onto her own. Previously, Melody Thorne only dollied herself up terribly to win Jared’s favor, and now that she abruptly stopped, she actually looked so beautiful?
"Oh, isn’t it Melody?" Ellie Thorne walked over to her. "Are you here to see young Jared again?"
Terence Thorne also gave his niece a disdainful look. "Haven’t I told you not to come here and embarrass us? Do you insist on throwing away the Thorne Family’s face completely?"
Melody Thorne looked at her so-called uncle in front of her. The Thorne Family originally had half of the shares left, but they were swallowed up by her dear uncle. In her past life, she couldn’t understand how the good Thorne Family had been completely devoured.
Now seeing Terence Thorne, she had some suspicions. Perhaps there was a traitor inside the Thorne Family colluding with outsiders at that time.
Melody Thorne raised her hand to flick her hair and smiled lightly. "Since my parents left, I’ve separated from the Thorne Family. If we’re talking about losing face, it would be mine to lose and seems to have nothing to do with you, right?"
"You..." Terence Thorne’s face turned ashen, as if he had been slapped in public. As an elder, he couldn’t slap back!
"Forget it, forget it, Dad, don’t bother with her. Don’t you have something to discuss with young Jared? Let’s go up? He’s probably waiting for us upstairs," Ellie Thorne smugly smirked, "Why waste time talking to someone so uncouth?"
"Am I uncouth?" Melody Thorne smiled coldly, took a step forward, and whispered, "Then what do you call a tramp who two-times and seduces other men?"
