CHAPTER 61: CHAPTER 61: GETTING IMPATIENT?

Jared Quinn raised the corners of his lips in a smile that wasn’t quite a smile, his dark eyes unreadable, and glanced at the expensive watch that denoted his status, "No time."

Melody Thorne "!!!".

She took a deep breath, trying to calm her anger. If Jared Quinn didn’t speak up to bring Timmy back, Timmy definitely wouldn’t be coming back, so she had to endure.

If he didn’t come back in the evening, then she would go to his office to find him!

"We haven’t had dinner together for a long time, have we? And I want to have dinner with you," Melody Thorne lied with wide eyes.

But, her heart suddenly ached inexplicably, perhaps because she used to think this way before, whereas Jared Quinn never deigned to dine with her.

"An invitation?" Jared Quinn leaned lazily against the seat behind him, tugging at the tie around his neck, his eyes still held unknowable dark danger.

"Yes, yes," Melody Thorne replied particularly cleanly and swiftly.

"Mm," the phone was hung up on the other end.

Mm? A ’mm’? Melody Thorne’s heart thumped clearly, perhaps for the first time, when talking about something, he didn’t hang up coldly, but instead gave a ’mm’, so that feeling was quite intense.

Evening.

Melody Thorne watched the time, her eyes almost boring a hole into the clock on the wall, just as she was considering whether to call him again, the sound of heavy leather shoes and the housekeeper’s voice came from outside, "Mr. Quinn."

"Mm," Jared Quinn removed his coat, walking inside.

Melody Thorne lay on the sofa, turning her head sideways, the luxurious chandelier’s light casting a halo around the man, outlining his tall and slender figure, the white shirt buttoned all the way up with gold buttons, and his impeccably handsome face devoid of any unnecessary expression, yet somehow spelled danger.

Jared Quinn walked closer, one large hand was already pulling off the tie around his neck, two buttons were undone too.

"Jared Quinn," Melody Thorne stood up from the sofa, just about to ask about Timmy, when something landed on her head.

She reached out to grab it, it was Jared Quinn’s tie, which he had just thrown onto her head.

Too bullying!!!

As she wanted to get angry, her chin was lifted by two fingers, "What’s wrong? Tired of waiting."

!!!

"Let go of me first," Melody Thorne removed his hand, threw his tie onto the sofa, and got straight to the point, "Let’s talk."

Ever since she came back to life again, she wanted to have a proper talk with him.

"Talk about what?" Jared Quinn squinted his dark eyes, sat beside her, directly edging her into the corner, one arm casually lazy on the sofa.

And Melody Thorne happened to be within his reach, precisely in the corner of the sofa.

"Talk about Timmy," Melody Thorne’s body was already shrinking as far as possible into the little corner, because in a previous life she had seen his cruelty, especially now faced with his enigmatic gaze, she felt panic, most importantly, her feelings for him from the previous life hadn’t completely dissipated.

If too close, she was afraid she would again be drawn to the flame like a moth.

"What’s wrong with him?" Hearing her mention talking about Timmy, the temperature around Jared Quinn dropped a bit.
