CHAPTER 62: CHAPTER 62: TRULY CARING

"He’s been at Grandpa Quinn’s for a few days now; it’s time for him to come back," Melody Thorne said tactfully.

Hearing this, Jared Quinn’s eyebrows relaxed a bit. "Grandpa wants his company, let him stay there for a few more days."

"No way!" Melody responded intensely.

"Hmm?" Jared moved a little closer to her,

while the butler beside her kept signaling with his eyes, but she couldn’t hold it in anymore. "Timmy clearly wants to come back, why won’t you let him? Clearly, it was you who sent him there."

"His matters are not your concern." A hint of coldness appeared on Jared’s sharp features as he stood up. "Didn’t you say we were going to eat? So let’s eat."

"Ah, yes, yes, Madam, let’s have dinner first," the butler quickly echoed.

"No, you have to promise me that Timmy will come back," Melody blocked him with an arm.

Jared lowered his eyes to look at the small woman who was trying to block him, her head barely reaching his shoulder. "And if I don’t agree?"

"You..." Melody glared at him angrily. "Timmy is your son, yes, but I’m married to you too, so he’s my son now. Why should he not come back just because you say so? I want him back now."

"Your son?" Jared’s gaze fell on her belly, his handsome face nearing hers with an indescribable danger. "Did you give birth to him?"

Melody "..."

Four years ago, wasn’t he forcibly taken from her body? If she hadn’t died once, she wouldn’t have known Timmy was her son.

"In any case, I want him back now!"

"Impossible." Jared wouldn’t listen to a woman, especially one with such righteous indignation. His pupils were coated with a thin layer of ice as he gripped Melody’s arm. "I will arrange his matters. Let’s eat."

"Let go of me," Melody snapped, shaking off the man’s hand. Her clear eyes were tinged with a trace of coldness directed at the man before her. After staring at him intently for a few seconds, she turned and went upstairs.

The bedroom door slammed shut loudly.

"Young Master," the butler cautiously glanced at the man whose face was extremely cold. "It seems the young mistress really cares about Timmy; otherwise, she wouldn’t be so angry."

These three days seemed like a small test. Given Timmy’s special condition, it seemed no one but Melody could fill the position of Mrs. Quinn. The butler could see that his young master already had a different view of Melody, or rather, he was very interested in her.

Jared’s eyes looked towards the direction of the upstairs, his deep pupils resembling a calm sea but with hidden undercurrents, its meaning unclear, but there was a faint smile at the corner of his lips...

"Bring Timmy back tomorrow."

"Yes, Young Master."

Early in the morning, Melody went downstairs and headed straight outside without even having breakfast.

"Young Madam..." the butler called out, "You haven’t had breakfast yet."

"Not eating," Melody replied as she walked out.

The butler looked helplessly at the man who just walked out from the staircase entrance.

"The madam seems really angry," he hadn’t even had the chance to tell her that the young master had already arranged for Timmy to come back.

"She has quite the temper," Jared said, staring at the stubborn figure walking out, before making a call. "From now on, I need daily reports on the young madam’s school situation."

"Understood."

The butler secretly clicked his tongue; he really cared about the young madam!
