Melody Thorne looked up and happened to see the man’s somewhat cold and tense jaw. For a moment, she was stunned and almost forgot she was pressed against him, nestled in his embrace.

Jared Quinn looked down at her. The woman in his arms now had slightly parted red lips and a stunned expression. Her clear, moist eyes perfectly reflected his handsome and cold face.

This was the first time since Melody Thorne’s change that he saw his reflection in her eyes.

Hmm, not bad.

"Get in the car," Jared Quinn’s eyes flashed with a hint of amusement. He let go of her waist, grabbed her wrist, and led her towards the car.

Under some strange impulse, Melody followed him, probably because she had never seen Jared speak so gently to her.

After asking, Melody immediately stopped, realizing it sounded like she was questioning her man about why he had another woman’s clothes in the car.

Melody sat holding the clothes without moving, thinking it was a joke to change in the car.

She glanced up secretly and saw Jared was looking out the window. She bowed her head and pulled all her clothes off.

"Stay away from that fool."

The man in front suddenly spoke, causing Melody’s hand to tremble, dropping the clothes. Her heart thumped loudly. Could it be that Jared also knew Caleb wasn’t really a fool and was just biding his time with the Adler Family?

"Why... why?" Melody pretended not to understand and bent down to pick up the clothes.
