CHAPTER 99: CHAPTER 99: WHO WAS THAT?

"Are you always this busy every day?" Melody Thorne got out of bed, suppressing her anger, and walked up to him.

"Stop your scheming. She will definitely not appear in the Quinn Family in the future. Just focus on being Mrs. Quinn!" Jared Quinn scoffed coldly.

"But what if I want to ruin her party and kick her out right now?" Melody Thorne folded her arms and raised an eyebrow casually.

"You want to embarrass me?" Jared Quinn paused his fingers on the keyboard, a sharp light flashing in his eyes.

Once Jared Quinn gives his word, how could he take it back!

Melody Thorne glanced at his sternly handsome face, her small hand clenched.

But calm, stay calm.

"Really want to?" Jared Quinn squinted his enchanting eyes, put down the computer, stood up in front of her, towering over the petite woman who only reached his shoulder.

"No," Melody Thorne wisely put her hands down, folded them behind her back, but if she wanted to leave now, she’d need to find an excuse.

"I just don’t want to see her at the Quinn Family."

"You seem to have hostility towards her?" Jared Quinn looked at her, the little woman in front of him not only had hostility towards Ivy but hatred, which seemed directed at him too.

"I have hostility towards her? Isn’t it her who has hostility towards me?" Melody Thorne raised her head. "Time and again she’s humiliated me, arranged to have me kidnapped, and had people attack me at school? Do you think I’m a saint or a white lotus with such good will to forgive her again and again?"

"It wasn’t her who kidnapped you last time."

Melody Thorne sneered, "You think I wrongly accused her?"

Jared Quinn glanced at her and pulled out his phone, making a call. The other end quickly answered, "Sir Jared."

"What about the investigation I asked for?"

"The two people who kidnapped Madam seem to have disappeared since that day, can’t find them, but this matter seems to..."

"Seems what?" Jared Quinn’s tone cooled.

"Seems to be related to Miss Adler."

"Well? Hear that?" Melody Thorne looked up.

Jared Quinn hung up, looked at her aggrieved appearance, reached out to touch her cheek, his eyes flashing rigidly.

Melody Thorne dodged, silently walking towards the door.

"Where to?" Jared Quinn’s hand froze in place.

"I said I’m going to tear apart that white lotus, arrange for her to be kidnapped and have her naked photos taken. Will you stop me?" Melody Thorne retorted as she left.

In truth, she bypassed the hall and turned into the back garden through the back door,

"Spit it out" Melody Thorne glanced disdainfully at the young man beside her, having once infiltrated the Adler Family, last time dying tragically and being treated like a fool or a madman.

"I need your help with something," Caleb stood up, his six-foot frame impressively tall.

"You better crouch down, you’re too tall and conspicuous like this." Melody Thorne looked around. "Considering you saved me last time I was kidnapped, and the time before, tell me, how can I help?"

"Last time it wasn’t me," Caleb put a big hand in his pocket, intending to play hero during Melody Thorne’s kidnapping, but Jared Quinn arrived."

"Who was it then?" Melody Thorne knitted her brows.

It’s highly likely that Jared Quinn had always had someone protecting Melody Thorne. Caleb narrowed his eyes; given Ivy’s tactics, Melody Thorne should’ve been far worse off.
