My Superstar Wife Is So Popular
Chapter 488 - 486: My Artist
CHAPTER 488: CHAPTER 486: MY ARTIST
Xiao Chu didn’t follow Wen Qiao and Jiang Yao upstairs but waited in the car.
The elevator stopped on the twelfth floor, and Wen Qiao and Jiang Yao walked out. Just as they turned the corner, the glass door that looked like a reception room was pulled open from the inside, and two familiar faces emerged.
Jiang Yao hissed and hesitated, "Is this probably what I referred to as ’long-awaited reunion’ yesterday?"
"No," Wen Qiao calmly replied. "The scene of a long-awaited reunion already played out yesterday."
"?"
Jiang Yao turned to look at her, "When?"
"I’ll explain to you in a bit."
While they were talking, Zheng Chen and Fu Jinghen had already approached them.
"Perfect timing," Zheng Chen began warmly. "Let me introduce you, Fu Jinghen, the investor in the movie you’re starring in."
Having said that, he turned toward Fu Jinghen with a brimming show-off tone, "Wen Qiao, the female lead in the movie you’ve invested in."
Fu Jinghen gave him a look, "My artist, you need to introduce?"
Zheng Chen paused, then realized that Wen Qiao was an artist signed with Huasong.
"I was just worried you might not know, with so many employees under you, how could you remember them all?"
"No," Fu Jinghen shook his head and looked at Wen Qiao, "It just so happens that I remember this one."
Zheng Chen: "Then it seems I have good taste, picking an artist you even remember to be the female lead."
"Indeed, not bad."
Wen Qiao offered a professional fake smile, "Thanks for the high praise, President Fu."
She took the opportunity while Zheng Chen wasn’t looking to glare at Fu Jinghen, signaling him to tone it down.
Fu Jinghen, having received Wen Qiao’s warning, returned to normal, "You guys are busy, I have other matters, so I’ll be going now."
Once one of the parties involved left, and as the only one in the know, Jiang Yao glanced at Zheng Chen, who was leading the way in front, and poked Wen Qiao’s waist, whispering, "You’d better start thinking now about how you’re going to explain this to me later."
Wen Qiao: "..."
Zheng Chen, hearing voices, turned his head and asked, "What’s up? What are you two talking about?"
"Nothing," Wen Qiao replied nonchalantly, "We were just saying that the decoration style here is quite unique, especially that painting on the wall, it’s beautiful."
Zheng Chen followed the direction of her finger to see that hanging on the wall to their left was a street scene oil painting. The image was simple, just depicting an alley, but it had a strong sense of the scene.
Through the painting, Wen Qiao felt as though she could see the complete dynamic view of the alley, the morning sunlight spilling into the quiet, winding lane, and the sudden crowing of a rooster awakening every sleeping household.
With a creak, sleepy-eyed residents pushed open their doors and stepped out into the warm sunlight.
"Just a casual thing," Zheng Chen pointed upwards, "That painting was done by your boss, I snagged it from him."
Wen Qiao was stunned, "He knows how to paint?"
"Yeah, that’s right," Zheng Chen explained, "He even minored in architectural design in college, so painting was necessary."
Wen Qiao slowly nodded, remaining silent.
Tsk.
Casually speaking, and it turned out to be praising him.
-
After signing the contract and leaving Zheng Chen’s studio to go to the parking lot, Wen Qiao immediately spotted the Rolls-Royce parked at the entrance with its presumptuous license plate number.
The moment her gaze fell on the car, Fu Jinghen opened the door and stepped out.
Jiang Yao glanced at Fu Jinghen, then at Wen Qiao, and clicked her tongue, "Is this the third act of the long-awaited reunion?"
