That reckless move had once combined the green natural Essence with my own violet Essence, creating a volatile brown energy that carried nothing but destruction.

The two forces were never meant to coexist, and yet under my will they clashed, tore, and twisted into something violently unstable.

If I tried to apply that same principle to the threads now, using them for the restructuring of my body, I knew I might not ascend, I might simply annihilate myself.

But if I succeeded then my body will become a destructive force.

But even as the thought formed, my instincts screamed at me not to go down that path. It wasn’t a faint whisper either, it was sharp, urgent, like something deep inside me knew the consequences would be disastrous.

I didn’t know why that feeling resisted me so strongly, but in the end, I trusted it.

So, I chose differently.

The moment my decision settled, I acted. My body was locked and heavy, as if chained, but there was still one thing I could control, stopping those green threads before they reached me.

More violet threads poured out of it like a flood. Each new tendril carried runes that sought my blood, binding themselves deeper with every connection.

The process dragged on for what felt like forever. An entire hour passed before the storm of energy raging outside my body finally began to quiet.

The cocoon of natural essence that had wrapped itself around me slowly unraveled, dissolving into nothing as the last of the green threads were exhausted.

But the violet threads I had chosen did not stop. They pressed deeper into me, weaving themselves into my blood. That stage alone consumed another half hour, and when it finally ended, the threads shifted again.

They flowed with purpose, moving toward my bones, my organs, everywhere, even my brain.

The invasion was relentless. For two long hours my body endured as the violet essence carved its mark into me.

My core never ceased its work, pulling in energy from every corner it could reach, endlessly producing more essence to feed the process.

By the time it all began to settle, I was trembling. A violent shudder tore through me. I could feel it, the sheer amount of essence I had generated had already surpassed the requirement for my next talent upgrade.
