CHAPTER 52: CHANGES TO THE STATUS SCREEN

Hmmm... Not bad. Though the rewards aren’t as flashy as those of the past few days but it’s valuable.

He received 0.02% shares of JP Morgan again, making it six times in a row. He wasn’t actually surprised by it and he welcomed it.

Who would say no to an additional asset value of $160m? Even a fool dares not refused. Especially when it’s free.

There’s also the attribute points he received. It has been a while since he received those. Actually, it hasn’t been a while because the last time he received them was the same day he went through the enhancement.

And now that he thought about it, he felt that allocating those points before undergoing the enhancement, actually helped him.

I wonder if I will receive attribute points from tomorrow’s weekly sign-in and how many?, Liam thought to himself.

Liam was really looking forward to tomorrow. It will be his second weekly sign-in and he intends to start accumulating his sign-ins after that.

Before he fell off asleep last night, he thought about his plans to create a company and the amount he would need to purchase the molecular assembler.

The molecular assembler and the company are tied together. The company can’t exist without the molecular assembler because it’s only with it that Liam can build the techs products he want to release into the market.

But Liam doesn’t have any intention of creating the company if he doesn’t have the molecular assembler ready. If he does that, the company would become akin to a shell company. Or a hollow front.

But there’s another restriction that also stopping him from creating the company. It’s a self imposed restriction.

He wants to create the company under the trust that Daniel Conley is creating for him. Liam understand how advanced the tech products he wants to release into the market are. He understands that they will more than revolutionise the market and he will easily make billions in profit from the two products.

But this also means that he will attract a ton of attention and the big tech companies would want to acquire his company.

Room temperature quantum chips small enough to fit into of phones, laptops, gaming consoles, PCs and all other devices. There’s the one that will be targeted towards enterprises uses.

Just this alone is enough for companies like Google, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia. As long as it’s a tech related company, they will throw money at him in desperate attempt to acquire the company and the core technology. Even the government.

But Liam has no intention of selling. No matter how much they offer him. Even if it’s $100b. He won’t blink because with just the system and such technological prowess in his hands, money is never something to be concerned about.

This brings us back to his plan of creating the company under the trust. That way, his company will be a private company and the stakes will be split among the holding companies created under the same trust.

He has no idea of it’s a solid idea as he’s not very knowledgeable when it comes to things like finance and business, but he felt that his reasoning was right.

"Maybe I should discuss it more with Daniel later. This is something I need an expert’s advice on," Liam muttered, as he looked out the window, staring ahead at nothing in particular.

I should allocate the attribute points now. No need keeping them for later.

My strength has increased so much but I haven’t had a chance to test it out and it just keeps growing. I’ve already surpassed the human body’s limit thanks to the enhancement, which means I may or may not be the strongest person in the world right now.

Liam sighed heavily at his predicament. He felt that his current situation was what people refer to as suffering from success.

He let out another sigh as he decided not to think about it anymore, as he started allocating the attribute points.

He allocated 1 point to Strength, 3 to Agility but he skipped Stamina, and focused on his Constitution. He plans to even out the stat and he still has 6 more points left.

But when he tried to allocate the points to his Constitution, he didn’t lit up like the others.

Usually when he wants to allocate points to his attribute, they lit up but the Constitution attribute was grayed out.

Liam tried it again but it was still the same result.

Can’t I increase it? The system said that it’s related to my body’s vitality, resistance and lifespan...

I see, Liam nodded slowly in realisation.

Since it’s related to lifespan, then it’s not something that can be increased that causally. But if that is so, then why the system put it in form of attribute and made me think that I can increase it?

Liam didn’t want to burden himself with the questions and he directly asked the system.

"System, I can’t increase my constitution?"

[Yes, host. You can’t.]

"Then why make it look like I can increase it? If your intention is to show me my lifespan, then just create a lifespan section and remove the constitution. It doesn’t look appropriate where it is," he said.

[You’re correct, host.]

Immediately, Liam saw the Constitution attribute box erased from his status screen and a new box titled Lifespan appeared under his Age box.

Looks way better this way. Thank you, system.

Liam smiled and allocated the remaining six attribute points, allocating two points to each attribute.

Just as before, Liam felt that same wave of warm energy course through his body. It started somewhere from his chest area and spread all over his body and wherever the warm energy flow through, that place improves immediately.

Just as always, it disappeared just as it had appeared but it left noticeable changes.

Liam squeezed and clenched his fist, and he felt it packing a huge amount of raw strength. His body felt lighter than before and it was filled with more energy.

Liam still feels strange seeing that. But he decided to not think too deep into it a it won’t change anything.

Instead, he should busy himself with more important things.

Liam smiled and got out of bed and walked to the bathroom to take his bath, and get ready for the day.
