My Ultimate Sign-in System Made Me Invincible
Chapter 67: Talk With Daniel
CHAPTER 67: TALK WITH DANIEL
Prestigious? Public-facing?
Liam rubbed his chin thoughtfully, his gaze shifting to the window where the morning sunlight poured across Lake Geneva.
He doesn’t really care about things like prestige. What he is creating is just a normal Silicon Valley start-up. At least, that’s what it would look like on the surface.
"For the headquarters... I want something impressive, yes, but not overbearing."
"Understood," Daniel said smoothly. "A balance between presence and subtlety. I can source options in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or even New York — prime markets where corporate prestige carries weight. Do you have a preference?"
"Los Angeles," Liam said after a brief pause. "It’s where I live, and it’ll allow me to stay close while the company grows. But it has to be modern."
"Very good," Daniel replied, the sound of typing faint in the background. "I’ll identify available towers and development opportunities in LA’s business district. Now, regarding the second site — the industrial base. This is where I need clarity on your requirements."
Liam’s expression hardened slightly. "Privacy. Above all else. I don’t want regulators peeking in every week. And I don’t want neighbors wondering why a building suddenly pulls the same amount of power as a stadium."
There was a quiet pause on the other end before Daniel said, "Then I recommend two things. First, you’ll want to position the site under a shell company — something innocuous, like a logistics or advanced materials firm. Second, the location itself. If discretion is key, Nevada offers excellent options. Desert land, easy zoning for industrial facilities, low population density, and proximity to power grids. We can purchase a large parcel and build the infrastructure from scratch."
Liam considered that. Desert isolation. Space. No prying neighbors. "That sounds ideal. I’ll need enough space for... let’s just say, fit a shipping container."
The molecular assembler wasn’t a small device but it wasn’t too big either. Making the industrial base the size of a shipping container will give him enough space to do whatever he wants to do with the device.
"Noted," Daniel said calmly, as though Liam had just asked for extra office printers. "I’ll secure a short list of sites within twenty-four hours. You’ll have the final say, of course."
"Good." Liam shifted against the pillows. "And the headquarters? How soon before I can walk into my own building?"
"That depends on whether you’d prefer to buy an existing tower or commission a new one," Daniel explained. "An acquisition can be completed within weeks. A new development would take years but would give you full control of the design."
"I don’t want to wait years," Liam said firmly. "Find me something I can buy and brand as mine."
There was no way he will want to wait years for the headquarters building when he plans to start working on the device by next week.
"Understood," Daniel said again, his voice as smooth as silk. "I’ll have both sets of options prepared. Once you return from Switzerland, we’ll sit down and review."
Liam smiled faintly at that. "Switzerland..." He glanced at the platinum card still resting on his nightstand, the Geneva Crest catching the morning light. "Daniel, about the vault — everything is confirmed?"
"Yes," Daniel said. "I contacted the Rothschild office yesterday on your behalf. They’re expecting you this afternoon. If you have a card, it will serve as verification. Present it when you arrive, and their staff will take you directly into the secured wing."
"Good," Liam murmured. "That was my biggest concern."
"Mr. Scott," Daniel said, his tone softening slightly, "I want to remind you: this isn’t like withdrawing cash from a bank. The Rothschild Private Vault is one of the most secure and secretive institutions in the world. The people you’ll see there are... not ordinary. Please handle yourself with care."
Liam chuckled softly. "You think I’ll embarrass myself?"
"No," Daniel replied with a trace of humor. "On the contrary. I think you’ll fit in far too well."
He has no idea why but he felt that he needed to say that. He wasn’t looking down on Liam due to his age. Rather, he was worried for him.
Liam was someone with an unclear background. No one knows which family he belongs to or has ties to. All they know was that he’s someone with great financial power or from an unknown family of great financial power—a power they have yet to confirm anything about.
For a moment, Liam said nothing. He looked at the suit spread across his bed, the platinum-threaded fabric catching the sunlight.
He wasn’t worried about anything. He has immense confidence due to his etiquette skill. He knew that with it, he’d walk into that vault looking and behaving like he’d belonged there all his life.
"Thank you, Daniel," Liam said finally. His voice carried genuine warmth. "For everything. You’ve made all of this far easier than it should be."
"That’s my role, Mr. Scott. To make the impossible seem effortless," Daniel said.
They exchanged a few final words before Liam ended the call.
He set the phone down and exhaled. He was happy that things with the company was moving in an incredible pace. And it was all thanks to Daniel.
As for the construction of the industrial base, he has no idea how long it will take to be completed. But he estimates it to take two to three weeks max.
Either way, I hope it shouldn’t take too long. But while I wait for it, I will look into acquiring traits. I’m curious to see what will change with each trait.
The following moment, a knock from the door, followed by Mason’s voice informing him that the staff member was here with his breakfast order.
He got up from the bed and walked to the living room. The staff has already been let in by Mason and was wheeling the food cart to the table. She set the meal on the table, nodded respectfully and left.
Liam smiled at the spread in front of him and started eating. He ate at a moderate pace, enjoying the meal.
After he was done, he lay back relaxed on the sofa. There was still a few hours more but he doesn’t feel like doing anything while he wait.
As he waited, time passed painfully slow but it still passed all the same, and it was finally time.
Liam already dressed, walked to the front door. He opened it and stepped out. Mason and Nick greeted him and he gave a small nod.
He started walking down the hallway. Mason and Nick quickly followed behind him. He didn’t need to tell them where he was going as they had been by him.
Rothschild Private Vault.
