Naruto: AFK System
Chapter 225 - 225
Everyone was tense when they saw Sasuke and Naruto faint. The appearance of the Nine-Tails' phantom in the sky had everyone worried about the seal breaking. Most people there were unaware of Yoruha's strength, or even who Yoruha was.
Only Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Shizune, who had witnessed Yoruha in battle, knew of his capabilities.
Yoruha remained silent; despite being a Jonin and a Hokage guard, his experience was still considered shallow compared to the other Jonin in the office. So, he chose not to speak.
Kakashi, understanding Yoruha's thoughts, explained to everyone what had just happened.
After Kakashi finished, Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Shizune didn't find anything unusual. However, the other Konoha ninjas in the office looked at Yoruha with puzzled expressions.
Some even wondered if Kakashi was telling the truth. Meanwhile, the two Hokage advisors looked at Yoruha with a knowing expression.
Although they weren't familiar with Yoruha, they knew the Third Hokage wouldn't value him without reason.
Now that Kakashi had revealed Yoruha's strength, they had no doubts. They were even pleased, knowing that Yoruha, being part of the Hokage's lineage, had reached a level comparable to the Hokage.
Konoha essentially gained another Kage-level powerhouse, and since Yoruha was Tsunade's guard, there was a high probability he would succeed her in the future.
Knowing Yoruha's strength now meant they didn't have to worry about his qualifications. Most importantly, Yoruha could suppress the Nine-Tails, which was excellent news.
Though the two advisors often seemed rigid, they always supported the Hokage on matters concerning the village. Despite their personality clashes with Tsunade, leading to numerous conflicts, they would firmly stand by her on significant village issues.
Even though Danzo was their old classmate, it didn't change their stance. In many subsequent events, it became clear that their disagreements with Tsunade stemmed more from a clash of old and new ideologies and their view of Tsunade's laid-back attitude, which they felt was unbefitting of a Hokage.
Indeed, Tsunade didn't fit the traditional Hokage mold. The advisors, more like traditional patriarchs, disapproved of her nonchalant demeanor. Yet, they would still carry out her orders.
This is fundamentally what set them apart from Danzo. Danzo had his own private army; the Root ninjas only listened to him, not even the Third Hokage could command them. Of course, despite Root's strength, it was still just a branch of the Anbu.
Root's strength wasn't on par with the Anbu. Because Danzo had his private army, he wielded significant influence in the village, often opposing the Hokage.
But the two Hokage advisors wouldn't do that. Even if they disagreed with the Hokage, when the Hokage and Danzo had differing opinions, they would stand firmly with the Hokage, even if they agreed with Danzo.
So, upon learning of Yoruha's strength, they were only pleased. After all, Yoruha wasn't from the Uchiha clan and didn't have a radical family backing him.
Yoruha, not to mention being part of the Hokage lineage, was considered one of their own in their eyes.
And since Yoruha had a good relationship with Tsunade, they were naturally even more pleased. However, while the two Hokage advisors understood this, Gai, Asuma, and Kurenai did not.
Gai knew Yoruha was strong, but when Kakashi claimed that Yoruha possessed Hokage-level strength, he found it hard to believe. Still, in this setting, he wouldn't voice his doubts.
After all, Kakashi was his friend, and while he didn't believe in Yoruha's strength, he trusted Kakashi. He knew Kakashi wasn't the type to boast.
It was just hard for him to accept that Yoruha had Hokage-level strength. Once Tsunade knew the matter was resolved, she dismissed the group of Jonin, leaving only Kakashi, Jiraiya, and the two Hokage advisors behind.
Tsunade sat in her chair, hands clasped under her chin, and looked at Yoruha. "Go ahead, everyone here is trustworthy." It seemed Tsunade had already sensed that Yoruha had something to say.
The two Hokage advisors looked at Yoruha and asked, "Yoruha, can you control the Nine-Tails?" This was their main concern. Being able to suppress Naruto's rampages didn't necessarily mean he could control the Nine-Tails.
Yoruha thought for a moment and replied, "As of now, yes." Previously, Yoruha wasn't entirely confident, but now the Nine-Tails posed no threat to him, and to him, it was no different from any other tailed beast.
Having mastered the space orb, even the Nine-Tails' most powerful Tailed Beast Bomb was no threat to him.
In truth, Yoruha could indeed eliminate the Nine-Tails. Even without using the space orb, Yoruha had long mastered a jutsu capable of erasing souls. He didn't even need to resort to the space orb.
Hearing Yoruha's confident answer, the two Hokage advisors nodded. "In that case, we can rest assured." Their primary concern was the Nine-Tails.
After all, the Nine-Tails was a strategic weapon for the village. If anything happened to it, the village would be vulnerable to attacks from other villages.
Tsunade and Jiraiya weren't worried about the Nine-Tails; they already knew Yoruha could handle it.
They were more interested in what important matters Yoruha had to discuss. Tsunade said coldly, "Don't waste his time with such questions."
"His summoning beast is a tailed beast. Don't bother him with trivial matters like suppressing a tailed beast." The two Hokage advisors were stunned. Tsunade hadn't mentioned this to them before.
"What, Tsunade, what are you saying?" Tsunade replied impatiently, "You two must be getting old. I said his summoning beast is a tailed beast, the Three-Tails. When Jiraiya brought me back, we fought Orochimaru, and he summoned the Three-Tails to assist in battle."
"So there's no need to question him about the tailed beasts. He can handle it." The two Hokage advisors were shocked. Tsunade had known all along and had been surprised herself.
But for the two advisors, they understood the significance of a tailed beast. They knew how crucial it was for a village to control one.
Even though the Akatsuki seemed to capture tailed beasts easily, in reality, tailed beasts played a significant role on the battlefield.
A single Tailed Beast Bomb could obliterate everything within several kilometers. The ninja world had yet to develop defenses capable of withstanding a Tailed Beast Bomb.
Even the Fivefold Rashomon of Hashirama could at most alter the trajectory of a Tailed Beast Bomb. Hashirama, a ninja of immense strength, never underestimated the power of a Tailed Beast Bomb.
To ordinary ninjas, it was as terrifying as an apocalyptic weapon. The Five Great Shinobi Villages might refrain from deploying tailed beasts in battle, but they couldn't afford to be without them.
Because the ninja world had no jutsu with the destructive power of a Tailed Beast Bomb.
Even Madara, during the Fourth Great Ninja War, when he unleashed the full power of his Susanoo, slicing through mountains, only claimed that his attack could rival a Tailed Beast Bomb.
For someone as proud as him to say that, it spoke volumes about the terror of a Tailed Beast Bomb.
And controlling a tailed beast for so many years, there were only a few in the ninja world who could do it. Let alone using a tailed beast as a summoning beast.
