Naruto: Eating A Devil Fruit In The World Of Shinobi
Chapter 144 144:[Bonus] Embarrassment at the Camp.
"So fast!" she exclaimed again, eyes wide in shock.
With her current strength, she could barely catch a blur.
Just as the thought passed through her mind, she suddenly felt someone shove her from behind—and she stumbled forward!
A long black leg appeared out of nowhere.
Tsunade's instinctive reaction.
Before she could think, pain shot through her backside.
Tsunade froze, her mind going blank. Only one thought echoed: I was just spanked... on my butt...!
At the entrance of the camp, Yuhi Shinku watched the scene with rare embarrassment on his face.
What the hell is going on? he wondered. I thought it was an enemy attack... but clearly that masked man knows Lady Tsunade—and they seem... close? She didn't resist at all!
"Shinku-sama, should we intervene?" asked a nearby Hyuga clansman, awkward and blushing. The young ninja had never even held a girl's hand. Seeing such a scene left him flushed and fidgeting.
"Ahem. Lower the alert. Return to your positions," Shinku coughed, trying to mask his own discomfort.
But while his mouth said retreat, his eyes stayed locked on the masked figure. The same went for the others.
Tsunade was Konoha's pride. Beautiful, powerful, and admired by countless men who would gladly line up from the Hidden Leaf to the Land of Fire just for a chance to speak with her.
Now, seeing their revered heroine getting spanked in such a bizarre fashion was... unforgettable.
In the nearby woods, Nara Shikaku had also arrived.
Even with his famed intellect, he was stunned.
Moments ago, he had rushed to bring Minato and the others to the base, concerned that Tsunade might clash with the masked intruder known as Kaito. All the classified reports from Sarutobi and Elder Homura had painted Kaito as a highly dangerous force. Tsunade had been in seclusion developing an antidote for Chiyo's poisons, so Shikaku planned to brief her afterward.
But Kaito came early—and asked directly for Tsunade.
Shikaku, Minato, and the rest had hurried to the camp, only to hear loud noises erupting ahead.
The two exchanged concerned glances.
"Minato, quick! Stop them—before we gain another dangerous enemy!" Shikaku ordered.
"Understood!" Minato replied seriously.
As Jiraiya's disciple and the Hokage's student, Minato had read the top-secret reports about Kaito. The man was overwhelmingly powerful—even the Legendary Sannin combined couldn't match him.
To move faster, Minato used Flying Thunder God, appearing instantly at the camp.
And then—he froze.
His jaw dropped.
There stood Lady Tsunade, known for her ferocity and pride... being spanked.
Minato's mind blanked.
Moments later, Shikaku arrived, panting. "Minato! Why are you standing there? Didn't I tell you to—"
Minato lifted a trembling finger and pointed. "Do we... need to stop that?"
Everyone followed his gaze.
The masked man—Kaito—was firmly spanking Lady Tsunade.
And Tsunade wasn't even resisting.
"T-This... this..." Shikaku stammered, unable to form words.
They could only stand still, dumbfounded.
"I finally understand why Lady Tsunade ignores Sensei Jiraiya," Minato muttered with a sigh.
"Makes sense," Shikaku nodded. "When Jiraiya gets back, I owe him a drink."
Meanwhile, Kaito's intent was simple: Tsunade had landed 17 punches, so he would return the favor with 17 slaps.
But somewhere along the line... he lost count.
He got caught up in the sensation, the moment. And by the time he realized what was happening—he could feel chakra fluctuations all around them. Inoichi, Minato, Shikaku...
He realized: everyone saw it.
Even someone as thick-skinned as Kaito felt a flicker of embarrassment, though his mask thankfully hid his flushed face.
He helped the dazed Tsunade to her feet, looked toward Shikaku and the others, and said coolly, "Seen enough?"
Though quiet, his voice was laced with chakra and rang clear through the air. The nearby Jonin's ears buzzed.
The group exchanged glances, then awkwardly walked away—pretending nothing had happened.
"Nice weather, huh Minato?" Shikaku said nonchalantly.
"Yeah... probably going to rain soon," Minato replied.
"I need to take in my laundry," Inoichi added.
From afar, Shinku turned on his heel and left briskly.
Shaking his head, he muttered, "In broad daylight... what is this world coming to?"
Nearby ninjas: You were the most focused one watching just now...
With Kaito's declaration, Tsunade finally snapped out of her daze.
Just as she prepared to unleash her fury, she noticed the surrounding ninja calmly walking away, not even glancing back.
The absurd moment passed—but the legend would live on in every corner of the base.
