Naruto: Eating A Devil Fruit In The World Of Shinobi
Chapter 173 173: 173:[Bonus] Raikage's Dignity.
A faint voice echoed behind the two of them, "Compare your speed with mine; you're far behind!"
Before the words finished, Kaito vanished again.
He reappeared silently behind the Fourth Raikage, delivering a swift black whip‑kick to his back that sliced through the air with deadly precision.
Like an explosive eruption, raw energy burst outward in shockwaves.
Boom!
The Raikage slammed into the ground like a meteor, denting the hard earth and dragging a trail behind him as the impact plowed forward.
"Hit my brother! You bastard! You idiot!" Killer Bee—singing his odd tune—charged forward, sword crackling with lightning.
Just as his blade flashed toward Kaito, something unexpected happened.
Kaito ignored the lightning‑charged sword; instead he stretched two fingers and delicately clasped it.
The Thunder Sword snapped in half at the tip.
He held the broken tip between his fingers and flicked it toward Bee.
The white shard streaked forward like a beam.
Bee spun his sword horizontally in defense, blocking it—but even then the force from the fragment sent him skidding back, carving two long grooves in the ground.
Snap!
The impact cracked the blade; it shattered into pieces that clattered to the earth.
Bee stared at the broken weapon handle with wide eyes, "Is that suppose to be a casual attack? Why is it so powerful?"
"Bee, he is extremely strong," the Eight‑Tails spoke within.
Just then, the Fourth Raikage reappeared in Lightning Chakra Mode, a glowing mark on his back.
"Bee, are you all right?" he called out toward Kaito.
"Brother, I'm fine! I feel stronger than ever," replied Bee, solemnly.
"Of course—after all, he defeated the Third Tsuchikage Ōnoki and both Four‑ and Five‑Tails! Strength like that proves his skill!" the Raikage nodded.
"I understand, brother. I'm going to release the bull now."
"Do it," agreed the Raikage.
With a buzzing surge, dark red chakra burst forth from Bee, enveloping him completely. When it peaked, it cracked like breaking shell—and then the Eight‑Tails, Gyūki, emerged in full form, an ancient beast with eight tails and towering horns.
"You really want to fight me?" Kaito raised an eyebrow.
"Fourth Raikage, are you seeking conflict?" Gyūki rumbled.
"Hmph! As Fourth Raikage, I gave you our village's best Lightning Release technique. But as a man, I refuse to swallow this humiliation!" the Raikage growled.
"Fine! I'm in a good mood today. Let's see how strong the lightning on my body really is!" Kaito shrugged nonchalantly, his tone casual enough to rile the Raikage.
At that the Raikage exploded in fury, lightning swirling around his palm.
"Boy! Go to hell! Lightning Escape: Thunder Torture Style!"
His palm hardened into blade form, crackling with penetrating lightning, aimed at Kaito's heart.
"Don't you think that's annoying?" Kaito turned calmly, extending a hand.
White lightning shot from his palm with a thin black outline, striking directly into the Raikage's lightning blade.
Crack! Crack!
Kaito grabbed the Raikage's palm mid‑attack, effortlessly resisting the penetrating power.
"You… you can endure my thunder?" the Raikage's disbelief rang out.
(You witnessed him enduring 'Heavenly lightning' tho...)
That technique had once cleaved a small mountain aside—and even severed a horn off a Tailed Beast.
Before he could think, he felt Kaito lift him with tremendous force.
Boom!
Kaito hurled the Raikage to the ground. Black lightning crackled all over his form as he charged forward.
"Bastard! I won't let you go!" the Raikage's roar echoed from the pit.
But horror froze him—his lightning‑armored form shattered like paper upon contact with Kaito's black lightning.
"How is this possible? How is this happening?" he gasped, pain and numbness sweeping through his body before blacking out.
Kaito retracted the lightning, surveying the fallen Raikage with indifference.
"What a waste. He couldn't even last a second. A Raikage defeated so easily."
His electromagnetic senses detected another target in the distance. He launched the Raikage's inert body toward it.
Then he turned his gaze to Gyūki looming in front of him. "Your turn."
"You dare compare yourself to me, the Eight‑Tails?!" Gyūki roared, fists clashing toward Kaito in a storm of force.
Kaito remained unfazed, pulling his fist back and then thrusting it skyward with giant momentum.
Boom!
Like Mars striking Earth, the colossal fists collided with cataclysmic force.
A roar split the air, "How is this possible?!" Bee in Gyūki's body screamed.
When man and beast struck fists, a huge burst of power erupted from Kaito's punch—violent, volcanic.
Gyūki was thrown through the air, crashing into mountain ridges before finally stopping.
