Naruto: Fatherhood Made me Invincible
Chapter 67 67: Ch 67
Uchiha Madara stood within the armored shell of his Susanoo, a cruel, arrogant smile etched onto his face. His voice, amplified by the spectral armor, boomed across the desolate landscape, each word a thunderclap. "Let me, Uchiha Madara, show you the true power of our clan!"
"Madara, let us fight together!" Hashirama Senju, not to be outdone, clapped his hands together, instantly entering Sage Mode. "Wood Release: Wood Golem Jutsu!" he roared.
As he gave the command, the very earth seemed to respond to his call. The ground trembled violently as countless trees and vines intertwined, gathering and condensing into a colossal wooden giant, its size easily matching that of Madara's complete Susanoo.
Madara glanced at his old friend but did not reject his offer. At any other time, he would have insisted on fighting his own battles. But now, his primary goal was to escape the Sage's watchful eye and retrieve his Rinnegan. He needed Hashirama to join the fight, to create as much chaos as possible.
Seeing Madara's silent acceptance, Hashirama beamed, his face alight with a simple, honest joy. "Madara, let us work together to correct this misguided child!" Though Kagami had done many terrible things, Hashirama saw him as Madara's only surviving descendant and did not wish to kill him.
"Mind your own business, hashirama. Don't interfere in our fight." Madara snorted, but said nothing more.
Kagami watched them, a look of amused pity on his face. "Yes, yes, talk as if you actually have a chance of winning." Seeing them both summon their colossal avatars, he felt a brief, passing desire to manifest his own Susanoo and play with them. Unfortunately, activating it consumed far too much ocular power. He did not yet possess the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, and using it would be a foolish waste. His Mangekyō's true ability was a "big surprise" he was saving for the Sage of Six Paths. He would not squander his eye power here.
But even without his own Susanoo, dealing with these two legends would be easy. Even without his soul-cleaving slashes, his Dust Release alone was more than enough to grant him invincibility. His goal was to gather as much intelligence as possible while revealing none of his own trump cards.
"Arrogant brat," Madara sneered, "don't get too complacent!" Before the words even left his mouth, the giant Susanoo, wielding a longsword that pulsed with a cold, spectral light, slashed downwards with the force to cleave mountains.
But Kagami's body simply flickered, leaving a ghostly afterimage as he instantly dodged the unstoppable blow. The giant blade slammed into the empty space with a deafening roar, the force of it stirring ripples visible to the naked eye. A flicker of surprise crossed Madara's face, quickly replaced by an even more intense battlelust. Apart from Hashirama, no one had ever been able to match him like this.
He snorted, and the Susanoo's eyes blazed with a dazzling red light. Its arms morphed into two massive sickles, which swung at Kagami from two different directions, their destructive power cutting the very air to pieces. At the same time, Hashirama's Wood Golem joined the assault, its massive fists raining down on Kagami's position.
Facing this overwhelming, double attack, Kagami showed no fear. Instead, a deeper, more predatory smile spread across his face.
"Dust Release: Spaceless Realm!"
His low voice, though soft, exploded like thunder in their hearts, carrying with it an unquestionable majesty. His hands suddenly clasped together, and an invisible, powerful energy converged between his fingers. In an instant, the space around him seemed to tear apart as countless tiny particles of light spun wildly, condensing into a crystal-clear cubic barrier that emitted a dazzling white light, completely isolating him from the chaos outside. It was a technique of his own creation, a 360-degree shield of absolute defense.
The moment the Spaceless Realm was complete, the attacks from the Susanoo and the Wood Golem arrived. Their combined power, enough to obliterate a mountain range, slammed into the seemingly fragile barrier, only to be violently repelled by an inexplicable force. The decomposing power of the barrier then went to work. The Susanoo's weapon emitted a harsh metallic screech as it was eroded by the jutsu, shattering into a million pieces that dissolved into nothingness. The Wood Golem's giant arms began to decay from the fingertips inward, the tough wood breaking down as if devoured by a swarm of invisible locusts, leaving only a pair of splintered, broken limbs hanging from its torso.
Before Madara and Hashirama could even recover from the shock, Kagami's voice rang out again.
"Dust Release: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu!"
An impossibly brilliant light erupted from Kagami's palm, a miniature sun that carried with it a chill that promised only destruction. The light expanded into a massive pillar, which ruthlessly pierced through Madara's Susanoo and Hashirama's Wood Golem.
In a single, silent moment, the god-like armor of the Susanoo, a construct of pure, indomitable chakra, was simply wiped from existence, its surface cracking before collapsing into a shower of faint, fading embers. Hashirama's Wood Golem suffered the same fate, its massive body twisting and deforming in the light before dissolving into countless tiny wood chips that drifted away on the wind, leaving nothing behind.
