Naruto: I Am Crazy with the Simulation System!
Chapter 173 173: The Power of Faith
With the Four-Tails and Nine-Tails you brought back, two-thirds of the Tailed Beast power is now gathered here.
Although, back then, Obito lacked the strength to fully control Nagato, he still needed to rely on him. That's why the method he used to teach Nagato to control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path was flawed and incomplete—resulting in your current inability to properly use it to revive the Ten-Tails.
Still, you've taken the first crucial step—
—Becoming the Jinchūriki of all nine Tailed Beasts!
However, the process must not be interrupted.
So, you released your Fire Release, splitting it into countless hair-thin transparent threads of flame. You wove them into a massive barrier that concealed all sensory perception. You even mixed in a bit of your not-yet-fully-mastered power over the Rules of Death.
With this, the movements and energy fluctuations of the Tailed Beast fusion were completely sealed off.
Then, you passed on the "Body Activation Technique" you obtained from Shinno to Nagato. After that, you pulled out a vial of "Bloodline Essence" and had him drink it all in one go while simultaneously activating the technique.
The moment Nagato swallowed the Bloodline Essence, he began frantically absorbing the immense energy within through the Body Activation Technique. At the same time, it awakened the already incredibly potent Uzumaki bloodline in his body.
Even though he was still a novice at the Body Activation Technique and many steps were rough and unrefined, his sunken eye sockets, withered body, and even the legs that had been blown off—all began to regenerate at a shocking pace!
At that very moment, the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path seemed to be drawn to the returning vitality in Nagato's body. It tried to re-establish its link to the black chakra rods on his back and once again siphon off his power.
But you didn't allow it.
In the past, Nagato had kept himself connected to the chakra rods behind him to suppress the Demonic Statue, sacrificing his own life force to keep it from rampaging out of control.
Now, with the goal of becoming the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki within reach, there was no longer any need to rely on such a self-destructive method to control the statue.
The instant the statue tried to absorb Nagato's power—
—you raised your hand and conjured a massive flame greatsword, as transparent as glass.
Condense!
The flaming greatsword compressed down to around four or five meters, still blazing with deadly intent.
You swung it down.
With a single slash, you severed all the black chakra rods the statue had extended, along with its probing tendrils.
ROARRR!!!
The Demonic Statue let out a roar of agony.
But what followed were ten golden chains that burst out from your back.
Adamantine Sealing Chains!
Three of the chains tightly bound the Demonic Statue, restraining it completely. No matter how it struggled, it couldn't escape these seemingly thin, but unbreakable chains.
The other seven chains, under your precise control, transformed into sharp blades and stabbed deep into the statue's body—ripping out the seven Tailed Beasts that had been sealed within!
You gave a sharp look toward Nagato, who had now recovered most of his strength, and whose Uzumaki bloodline was still rapidly intensifying.
Responding to your cue, Nagato extended nine Adamantine Sealing Chains from his own back. He caught the scrolls containing the Four-Tails and Nine-Tails you threw to him, while his chains captured the other seven Tailed Beasts extracted from the statue.
The transfer complete, Nagato formed hand seals, and the Eight Trigrams Seal appeared.
One by one, the nine Tailed Beasts were slowly drawn into his body.
At this moment, Nagato—an ordinary mortal—was about to bear the power of all nine Tailed Beasts and ascend as the ultimate Jinchūriki!
As the nine Tailed Beasts entered him simultaneously, a blood-scented mist of chakra erupted violently from Nagato's body.
This overwhelming chakra came with an inherent pressure that made every single person in Amegakure—from elite jōnin to academy students, men and women, young and old—instinctively kneel and bow toward the central tower, toward the god who had once again restored peace to their lives!
Suddenly, a golden ribbon of light, like silk, flew into the tower. Then came hundreds, thousands—countless golden lights streaming in from the villagers.
You caught one of them and examined it.
This power—it was the same "Faith Power" mentioned when you communed with the Shinigami and Jashin!
Although the Akatsuki had been destroyed in conspiracy, Nagato had never abandoned his core belief. Through seemingly insignificant actions, he continued to protect this war-torn village from the shadows.
These past ten-odd years, though short in the grand scheme of life, were the most peaceful, the most precious years Amegakure had experienced in generations.
Whether Nagato was still the naive boy who once idolized Hanzō, or the man manipulated by Obito into collecting Tailed Beasts to force peace through destruction…
…or the one who, after speaking with you, learned he had always been a pawn—
—through it all, he never stopped protecting this village!
And now, all of that dedication—now that he had surpassed his former self by absorbing the power of all nine Tailed Beasts—was finally being returned to him in the form of divine elevation!
This divine power, born from faith, should belong to him!
Yet it was precisely because this Faith Power was so vast and potent that its presence dwarfed even the shockwaves of fusing with the nine Tailed Beasts.
As a result, the concealment barrier you'd put in place earlier was now completely useless.
Naturally, this couldn't escape the eyes of Black Zetsu and Obito.
Realizing this, you instantly went on high alert.
You soared into the air, maxing out your sensory perception and cloaking yourself completely.
Before long, space twisted into a black vortex, and Obito stepped out, fully armed, with Black Zetsu fused to a White Zetsu body walking beside him.
Behind them marched a vast army of White Zetsu clones.
They came with an air of certainty—ready to pass judgment.
At this point, even they weren't foolish enough to think they could talk Nagato into obedience anymore. All their hopes were now pinned on overwhelming him with sheer numbers...
"Time to close the net."
You were just about to make your move, ready to capture them both—
—when a scorching surge of chakra steam erupted from within Nagato's body. Every White Zetsu it touched instantly melted into puddles of white goo from the intense heat.
Black Zetsu and Obito barely escaped by phasing out in time.
But walking toward them now was Nagato—standing tall, legs fully restored, his body radiating the explosive power of a wild beast, with a blazing torrent of chakra flames trailing behind him.
What drew the most attention, though, were the several floating golden orbs by his side—crystallizations of the Faith Power, divine energy belonging to gods alone.
Though he hadn't yet become the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki, Nagato had, through the power of the nine Tailed Beasts, the development of his bloodline via the Bloodline Essence, and—most importantly—the gift of godly power, stepped into the realm of the demi-god.
And more than that—
The man who had spent most of his life bound to a wheelchair had now absorbed the Boil Release from the Tailed Beasts—an ability that pushed physical strength to its limits!
Seeing this terrifying transformation, Obito—whose resolve had already been shattered after being repeatedly struck down by you—trembled uncontrollably.
Only Black Zetsu maintained a calm facade, trying to use his superior knowledge to strike a bargain with Nagato.
But while Black Zetsu wanted to talk—
Nagato wasn't interested in listening.
In a blink, he appeared behind Obito and Black Zetsu. Twin fists lashed out—unleashing the fury of a friend betrayed, of a pawn used for someone else's grand design!
Boom!
With a thunderous blast, Obito barely escaped by using Kamui.
But Black Zetsu wasn't so lucky.
He failed to liquefy in time, and along with the White Zetsu body he was using, was blasted into a splatter of black slime.
"Run!"
Sensing the situation was dire, Black Zetsu—barely holding himself together—shouted for Obito to retreat.
After all, as the third son of Kaguya, born without combat prowess, Black Zetsu's greatest advantage lay in his immortality. His best tactics were always executed from behind the scenes.
So what if Nagato was a demi-god now?
Even the Sage of Six Paths, with half-Ōtsutsuki blood, eventually passed away. Even a pure-blooded Ōtsutsuki has a lifespan limit!
Black Zetsu had already endured a thousand years.
What was another decade or two?
