Naruto: I Reign Supreme with Templates Across the Multiverse.
Chapter 125: New Template & World Hopping.
"Konan, why are you here?"
Jiraiya's eyes widened as he saw her appear at the gate to Konoha.
Konan stood calmly. "I heard that Nagato was defeated by someone from Konoha. I'm here to retrieve his body."
Jiraiya sighed with a mix of guilt and helplessness. "Come with me. I'll take you to see the Hokage."
Konan nodded and followed him in silence. Her face remained expressionless as they made their way to the Hokage's office.
Jiraiya knocked.
After a brief pause, Tsunade's voice came from within—hoarse and clearly tired.
"I'm in the middle of something. Come back later."
A faint hum indicated that the room had been sealed with a barrier.
Jiraiya exchanged a glance with Konan and could only wait patiently.
Half an hour later, the barrier receded.
"Come in."
Inside, Tsunade was seated at her desk, flipping through paperwork with cold focus. Arakawa Zenkichi sat on the couch nearby, casually reading a newspaper, his face devoid of expression. The scene looked calm, but Jiraiya felt a strange unease.
---
"Did you kill Nagato?"
Konan's voice was quiet, her eyes locked onto Zenkichi. Hatred flickered in her gaze.
"Yes," Zenkichi replied calmly. "He had lost control. There was no other way."
He glanced at her. "It's a shame actually, maybe things could've gone differently."
Konan scoffed, "Then tell me, in your world... what became of the three of us?"
Zenkichi's tone remained steady. "Yahiko was moved by my vision of unifying the shinobi world. You and Nagato joined him. We fought together for peace."
A trace of longing flickered in Konan's eyes.
"That... sounds nice."
---
Elsewhere.
Uchiha Obito stood before the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, adjusting the lone Rinnegan in his eye socket.
"What a pity," he muttered. "I can't sustain both Rinnegan."
Beside him, Black Zetsu hissed, "The Nine-Tails Jinchūriki is in Konoha... and with him, that outsider."
Obito shook his head. "I don't have enough chakra. The Nine-Tails' chakra is nearly half the Ten-Tails' total. I need it back."
Black Zetsu pressed, "So? Can we launch the Infinite Tsukuyomi now?"
After witnessing Madara's death at Zenkichi's hands, he knew Obito was the only one left who could awaken the moon and resurrect his "mother."
Obito had already torn out his own Sharingan and implanted the second Rinnegan. He managed to subdue the Ten-Tails, slipping into Six Paths Mode.
Black Zetsu grew increasingly nervous. Obito wasn't a sealing expert, and things weren't going smoothly.
Unlike Nagato, who had the natural talent to bear two Rinnegan and control the Ten-Tails effortlessly, Obito's will was now starting to falter. His eyes dulled. The Ten-Tails' power clawed at his mind.
Yet...
Obito completed the transformation.
He formed the hand seals, and the Demonic Statue was absorbed into his body.
---
Black Zetsu offered advice with urgency. "Once you're fully stable, you can implant the second Rinnegan safely."
Obito ignored him.
Drunk on newfound strength, he scoffed, "Zenkichi? He's nothing compared to me."
Black Zetsu could only sigh. There was no controlling him anymore. All he could do now... was hope.
If Obito failed, he'd have to wait another thousand years.
And even for him, that was unbearable.
---
Konoha.
Zenkichi raised his eyes toward the horizon.
A surge of twisted chakra was approaching fast.
"So... he's here."
His lips curled into a cold smile. "Right on schedule."
Zenkichi's body shimmered, rising gently into the sky as he flew toward the approaching presence.
---
"Already noticed me? Good! Then die!"
Obito laughed madly as he lunged forward, swinging the Truth-Seeking Staff in his hand.
Zenkichi narrowed his eyes.
In the blink of an eye, his body dispersed into glowing particles and reappeared behind Obito.
That staff, forged from Truth-Seeking Orbs, was imbued with the power of total annihilation. Even Zenkichi didn't want to risk direct contact.
"Those orbs are no joke," Zenkichi muttered, sidestepping casually.
---
"Mirror Flower, Water Moon!"
Drawing his Soul-Cutting Blade, Zenkichi unleashed spiritual slashes at Obito—each blow carrying force that targeted the soul directly.
Obito knew this blade well. It had killed Nagato.
He instantly went full defense.
The strength of the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki was monstrous. Even Zenkichi's attacks were unable to pierce his defenses right away.
Zenkichi withdrew again, his body turning to light before reassembling at range.
---
A new blade shimmered in his hand.
Kyōka Suigetsu.
He whispered:
"Shatter... Kyōka Suigetsu."
With the release of this Zanpakutō, the illusion of all five senses descended.
Obito fell under its spell instantly.
Zenkichi struck.
A clean soul-slashing blow struck Obito's very essence.

"New Template Unlocked: Whitebeard!"
"Host may now travel to a new world."
Zenkichi blinked, slightly surprised.
"So I can finally world-hop…"
The excitement built in his chest—but he forced himself to calm down.
"I can't rush this."
He still had things to do.
There were people—women—who needed him here. He wouldn't leave them behind without a word.
And the darkness still lurking—Black Zetsu, the remnants of the Akatsuki—needed to be wiped out.
First, he'd settle this world.
Then...
He'd conquer the next one.
