At the Hokage tower entrance;

As Naruto and Kakashi walked out of the Hokage tower, Kakashi turned towards Naruto and gave him a subtle nod before disappearing in a body flicker.

After Kakashi left, Naruto looked to the side of the Hokage building as he felt a chakra signature that he knew, along with two others that were new to him.

"Itachi?" Naruto called as he spotted the familiar boy.

Itachi perked up and blinked upon hearing his name being called. He looked towards the source, and his eyes widened slightly in recognition.

Itachi left his companions and walked towards Naruto.

"Hello, Naruto-san," Itachi said politely as he reached Naruto.

"Hey, Itachi. How is the genin life treating you?" Naruto asked as he looked at Itachi's headband and towards his two companions, who he was sure that they are his teammates.

"It is going well," Itachi replied simply.

"That is good. But be careful and alert during missions; even the simplest-looking missions can turn out to be deadly." Naruto said, to which Itachi nodded at the advice.

"Did the Jonin meeting end, Naruto-san?" Itachi asked, making Naruto blink at the question.

"Yeah, it just ended. Why?" Naruto asked

"We are waiting for Minazuki-sensei. He said to wait for him to finish his meeting so we can go and take a mission." Itachi replied.

"I don't know Minazuki-san personally, but all the jonin should be leaving now," Naruto said, to which Itachi nodded.

"Take care of yourself, Itachi," Naruto said as he turned to leave.

"Wait, Naruto-san," Itach called as he remembered something, making Naruto turn to look at him with a questioning look.

"Kaa-san wanted me to invite you for dinner if I ever encountered you," Itachi said with an even tone.

"She did?" Naruto asked with a surprised look, to which Itachi nodded.

"Then tell her that I will be there at dinner time. Like I can say no to her." Naruto said while mumbling the last part to himself as he walked away. He still remembers how she made him call her 'nee-san'.

Seeing Naruto leave, Itachi turned and walked back to his teammates.

"How do you know that, Jonin, Itachi-kun?" Itachi's female teammate asked as he reached them. Shinko Inari is Itachi's female teammate and a member of Team Two. She is a young girl with dark eyes and long, dull, greyish-brown hair, tied into braided twintails that point outward to her sides and wears a blue forehead protector that covers the top of her head.

"Yes, He is a….. friend of mine and my family," Itachi said with a blank tone.

"A friend of yours? I didn't know you had any friends, especially a jonin that is a lot older than you." Tenma Izumo said in a mocking and teasing tone. He has somewhat long, grey hair and black eyes. His hair spiked more so towards the right side, and his bangs framed his face with his headband presented on his forehead.

"He is my friend and he isn't that much older than me. In fact, He is your age, maybe a bit younger." Itachi replied.

"WHAT?" Itachi's teammates exclaimed with their expressions turning to a look of extreme surprise. Naruto looked a lot taller and more mature that they are

"Didn't you know? He only became a genin around three to four years ago. You should at least have seen him in the academy." Itachi said blankly. Tenma and Shinko looked at each other with confused and bewildered expressions.

"Wait, isn't he the one who practiced Kenjutsu in the playground during the break in the academy?" Shinko said, remembering seeing Naruto's red hair in the academy. Hearing this, Tenma's expression turned dark and sour.

"Yeah, I remember him now. The demon that killed a jonin before entering the academy." Tenma said with a gloomy expression.

"Demon?" Itachi asked with a puzzled look.

"I don't want to talk about it," Tenma replied with a heated tone.

Tenma had known about Naruto, and he hated him. Tenma's uncle died during the Kyuubi attack, so when he heard that the new kid in the academy, at the time, was the Kyuubi, he wanted to take revenge or, at the very least, pick on him and bully him. But that didn't come to happen as he heard that Naruto had killed a jonin. At first, Tenma thought that wasn't true, but the fear in the Chunin instructor's eyes, along with their whispers, confirmed it. That was also one of the reasons that he picked on Itachi in the first place when he first came to the academy. Itachi looked like an easy target at that time, and the rumors circulating about the Uchiha clan's involvement in the Kyuubi attack fueled the fire in Tenma's heart.

Around 5 pm, in front of the Uchiha compound;

Naruto looked at the Uchiha compound with a complicated look as he walked towards the entrance.

'They are on the outskirts of the village now. They are being isolated and monitored.' Naruto thought

This is Naruto's first time visiting the Uchiha's new compound since they had been forcibly relocated recently. Ever since the Kyuubi attack and the situation with the Uchiha had become complicated, especially with the rumors of their involvement in the Kyuubi attack. Naruto has a good relationship with the Uchiha and has visited their old compound before they relocated. He had tried to talk Hiruzen against their relocation, especially since there was no real evidence supporting the Uchiha's involvement in the attack.

That didn't work. A lot of testimonies from the Shinobi seeing the Sharingan pattern in the Kyuubi's eyes that night, along with a majority vote in the council, forced the Uchiha to relocate. There are other causes, but the outcome was the same.

"Stop. State your business." An Uchiha guard stated as Naruto approached the Compound entrance.

Two Uchiha guards are standing on each side of the entrance

"I am Naruto Uzumaki. I have been invited for dinner at the Patriarch's home," Naruto stated

"We were informed of that. You are welcome to come in." The guard said after a moment of silence.

Naruto nodded before walking into the compound.

"Who is that?" The other guard asked

"A friend of the patriarch's family," the first guard replied

"A friend? Do we still have friends in this village?" the second guard said sarcastically and bitterly.

"I have seen him a couple of times in the old compound before we relocated. He seemed to have a good relationship with the patriarch's family and Shisui-san." The first guard replied, making the other guard go silent.

A few minutes later, in front of the patriarch's house;

After asking around, Naruto reached the Patriarch's house. As he was about to knock, He felt two Chakra Signatures coming towards him. Naruto smiled slightly as he pulled his hand before turning around.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Shunshin no Shisui (Shisui of the body flicker), (He is also called Shisui the teleporter). I haven't seen you for some time. It'sgood to see you." Naruto said with a smile as Shisui and Itachi approached him.

"Good to see you too, Naruto. And sorry about that, I have been posted on the border between us and the land of water. Kiri has been probing our borders for some time now." Shisui replied with an apologetic smile

"No need to apologise, duty always calls. Let's just train together sometime before you or I become busy again." Naruto said, to which Shisui nodded with a smile

"Are you here to visit Fugaku-sama?" Shisui asked

"You could say that. I have been invited for dinner. Are you here to visit?" Naruto replied

"No, no. I met Itachi at the missions desk after I returned from the border just today. So we walked back together. I am going home to rest. It has been a long mission." Shisui said with a tired smile.

"Then rest well. Let's all meet to train together tomorrow." Naruto said as he looked at the two Uchihas in front of him.

"I have no problem, what about you, Itachi?" Shisui said

"No problem. I have time till tomorrow's afternoon, then I will need to leave to meet my team." Itachi said

"Then it is settled. See you guys tomorrow." Shisui said before leaving

Naruto and Itachi looked at Shisui's retreating figure before Itachi turned towards Naruto and said, "Shall we, Naruto-san?"

Naruto nodded before following Itachi into the Uchiha clan head's house.
