CHAPTER 79: TEST RUN

Surprisingly for Tim, during his journey to the boss monsters lair he did not find a single monster that obstructed his path. He figured that the reason why no monster was obstructing his path was due to two things.

One was due to the strength of his summons that he had escorting him. the other reason was that all the monsters in the area has been cleared by another team.

Tim leaned towards the latter reason because, it became more evident during the course of their journey that there was intense battle along multiple check points of their journey.

Later on, it became very obvious that another team had faced all the monsters towards their path.

"We are close to the enemy team. Once we encounter them, let us ensure to take them out immediately. I do no not see the need for us to show mercy to the enemy guild." Tim instructed, as it became more and more obvious that they were nearing Zou’s guild.

’At this rate, we might actually meet them anytime from now. What if they set up a trap to catch me off-guard? Or what if one of their assassin class warriors, is lurking around me?

Arghhh it does not matter. What matters now is that their annihilation is inevitable.’ Tim thought as he came up with multiple scenarios that might happen upon their meeting.

Honestly, due to the distance that they had to travel to reach the boss monster’s lair. Tim had gotten a lot of time to think of things.

He doubted if it was even right to follow Zou into the dungeon. it was not like he knew Zou’s exact power level. He did not know at all.

But what drove him to do that was the power drunk feeling that he was experiencing. Ever since he got his abilities. He had been power drunk. Basically, he thought that he could handle any foe that came his way.

But the sad truth was that, Tim’s idea or thought was far from reality. He was just another warrior that managed not to run into someone that would spell doom for him.

"We are really getting closer to the next enemy group." Tim said, as he resolved his mind.

He was sure that they were near because, he could see fresh corpse of monsters. In fact, the number of monster corpse that was along Tim’s route was very high.

"Damn it. They got all the available EXP and route. This is just making things a lot more difficult for me. All this corpse would have been a perfect source for me to level up peacefully. Arghh this is so annoying." Tim whined, as he passed by dozens upon dozens of corpses.

"My King, it seems like the group that killed all this monsters, took their sweet time to loot all the valuable items from the corpse. At least from the way that I am seeing it that seems to be the case." Idah, who was on the back of a Mystic Lion said.

"Yes, that seems to be true, but it does not matter to me that much anymore. The monsters are dead already. The next best thing is for us to focus on the coming battle. Who knows the enemy might just be waiting for us to come near their camp, so they ambush us.

Luckily, I have an active passive skill that can sense, any immediate or live threatening danger towards my life. It really won’t be fun if I dead again due to an assassination." Tim said, as he steeled his mind.

After traveling for about 40 minutes. Tim finally stumbled upon a camp that was literally set up in the middle of the path towards the boss monster.

He was very sure that the group that set up the camp was the Dawn Keepers guild. At least they were the only ones apart from Tim and his group that entered into the Red Zone Dungeon.

"How bold of them to setup camp, right in the middle of the road. It seems like they are not scared of anything, hence their reason for setting up camp in the middle of the road.

How should I handle them. Hmmm. So many options." Tim said, as he got down from his undead monster.

Seeing their king get down from his undead beast. Ottis and Idah followed Tim’s decision to get down from the beast.

He had 13 Mystic Lions, and the Dawn Keepers Guild were 8 in numbers. He had the advantage numerically, but in battles of this kind, numbers did not really mean a thing.

Tim had to come up with a plan. It did not take long before Tim came up with a perfect plan to handle Zou’s guild members.

First of all, he had to gauge their strength. Although the additional Mystic Lions that we got were not as strong as the initial three that he fought. They still carried sufficient power to threaten a group of 1 Star Mages or Sages.

"You 12 should go on ahead and attack the enemy base. Make sure you try your best in this hunt. I will not take or accept any form of failure." Tim instructed, as he deployed 12 Mystic Lions towards the enemy camp.

The 12 massive Mystic Lions accelerated towards their target, as if they were rushing towards a water supply in the desert.

"Huh? Do you hear that? Do you hear the massive sound and vibration that is coming towards us?" Zou asked, because unlike the other group members, he was the only one that could properly feel the vibration.

"Boss, are you sure that you are hearing vibrations? I can’t feel or hear anything. Everything seems to be fine at this point.

The only noise or disturbance that I am hearing is the one that is generated by the cold wind in this dungeon. But let me just check outside, just to confirm that everything is alright." Mateo said, as he opened the door of the tent that he was in.

What he saw next shocked him to the core.
