CHAPTER 81: CHESS MATCH

Tim sighed, when he got the notification. Just like that 2 of his powerful assets were dead. He had expected something like that, but he did not expect it to happen so soon.

Under normal circumstances, he expected that the Mystic Lions that he sent would have been sufficient to take out the entire guild. But it seemed like Tim did not really rate the Dawn Keepers guild.

’Maybe I underestimated them. But let me still watch and gauge their strength. This is definitely fun, I think I should actually control or direct their actions. I mean they are my chess pieces, so they should put up a better fight.’ Tim thought as he monitored the battle.

"Hahahah Faye did you see that? These monsters are nothing to me." Zou said, as he accelerated towards the lion that was at a stalemate with Faye.

SWOOSH!

He swung his massive sword towards the lion in an effort to decapitate the lion.

The Mystic Lion seeing the attack coming its way hurriedly created space, and dodged the attack.

BAM

The attack landed on the ground and created a small crater due to the sheer force in the attacks.

Zou’s eyes widened a bit when he saw that the lion dodged his sneaky attack. It was something that he did not expect in the slightest.

Suddenly, 2 of the 8 lions that was spamming massive fireball skills towards Zou’s guild members. Stopped and faced Zou and Faye.

It was now back to 2 vs 4.

The remaining 6 lions also stopped and accelerated towards the camp of the guild members.

Zou’s eyes widened further." Since when did the monsters in a dungeon start to be this organized? Something feels wrong Faye, maybe it is the Boss Monster that is coordinating this attacks, who knows." Zou said, as his smiles started to be replaced with worries.

Something just felt old.

Zou’s train of thought was disturbed by the massive combined fireball that was coming his way.

"Shit. * Zou cursed as he stepped forward, leaving Faye who was in a little shock from all that had happened. * Heavy Style: Digging Slash." Zou yelled, as the aura in body surged, and poured directly into his sword.

His sword in that split second was covered by massive layers of Aura. Zou did not hesitate. With a diagonal slash. He sent his skill towards the combined Flaming ball.

SWOOOSH! POOM

A forceful explosion happened.

On Amiyah’s side. Things were not really going well for them; they had used a considerable amount of mana to block the onslaught from the massive sized monsters that launched an attack on them.

"Mia! Heal us.’ Mateo shouted. He was a mage but he did not really know any healing spell, and he did not really have the affinity for such a spell.

Although that had not received the attacks of the lion’s head on, they had received burns due to the sheer heat of the environment.

The fireballs from the lions were just that hot that they received indirect burns from the onslaught of their attacks.

"Th.. They are charging at us!" Anakin yelled. He was the buffs and support guy. But he was also the second most cautious member of their group.

"Damn it. We have to launch our attacks. We can’t let their size make us feel fear. Remember they are just like any other monster that we have slain in the dungeon." Amiyah yelled, as she tried to rally the group.

With Zou gone, she was the second most powerful member of the group and she needed the guild members to not feel despair because once despair sets in, all her efforts will be in vain.

Amiyah, Mateo, Samil stepped forward to attack, while Mia, Anakin and Kylee, the assassin of the group stood behind them to try and provide support.

The snowy cold forest, at this point was engulfed in flames. This was the result of the relentless assault that had been thrown their way.

"Cast your most powerful attack spell. Mia and Anakin will provide heals and mana buffs for us. Flaming Fury Smash!" Amiyah yelled, as she casted a spell that literally summoned a flaming boulder from nothing.

Although the size of the boulder was not oppressive enough. It was the best that she could do.

Without hesitation she sent the flaming boulder towards the lions that were charging at her guild members.

BOOM!

A loud explosion occurred with debris scattering over, but the guild members were not satisfied with that.

Samil clutched his hands together in a praying stance and summoned 2 golems. They charged towards the site of the explosion, but as the golems charged in. they were blasted into bits.

The 6 Mystic Lions came out unscratched and they lunged towards the trio that was leading the attack on them.

Amiyah seeing the massive predators nearing in on her, brought out an enchanted item from her storage ring, and threw it towards the lions.

FOO BOOM!

The lions were smashed back forcefully by the surprise attack that Amiyah used.

This time the lions were caught unaware because inside the item that she threw were 3 massive boulders that she had reserved. Immediately she threw it, she released the spell on them making them to break free and revert to their normal size while still maintaining the momentum that was on them.

"Wow Amiyah. what was that? You totally caught them off guard. I was already preparing myself for death." Mateo asked, the question that was resonating in the minds of everyone that was present.

They had all expected to receive harm, because they saw no way that they could escape from the lions, but to their surprise. Amiyah saved their lives.

"There is no time to be slacking off. I am not sure that the boulder killed them. But, at least 4 of them should have died from the surprise attack. There is no way that all of them would have survived that.

That was one my trump cards." Amiyah said with a renewed hope.
