CHAPTER 84: CHESS MATCH IV

"I saw movements. Not from the crater, but it seemed as if the figures were taking cover from the explosion.

To make matters worse, after the explosion, I saw 3 additional figures join up with the previous figures that escaped the explosion.

I think they were reinforcements. I think some of the monsters survived and they have received an additional set of reinforcement." Kylee said exactly what he saw.

BADUMP!

Amiyah’s heart skipped a beat the moment she heard those words come out of Kylee’s mouth.

The entire happy mood of the guild sank, just like a like the way the Titanic Ship sank.

Kylee had said the exact words that they did not want to hear, but they still had to listen to the bad news.

"Get into formation everyone! We will finish this battle here and now." Amiyah yelled as she tried to change the mood of everyone that was present.

"I will send my golem to investigate the enemy." Samil said, as he controlled his golem to start moving towards the direction of the enemy.

Unlike Tim’s summon that once he summoned them, he did not need to feed them any other resource because they were a standalone being.

Samil summons were different. He constantly had to be feeding them mana for them to operate. It was a mana draining skill, but it was effective in battle.

...

On the other side of the explosion site stood 3 Mystic lions partially wounded, but was healing and the reinforcements; Bo, Ottis and Idah.

"The mission is clear this time. Our first target is the Flame mage that is in the 2nd Star. Our King has deemed her to be a threat that needs to be quickly exterminated.

Once we take her out. It will be easy to take out the remaining guild members. Remember they brought shame to our king, so it is only right that we take revenge on them for bringing shame to our king.

We end this dragged-out battle here and now!" Idah said, as he brought out his long sword and channeled aura into it.

Their first objective was simple, Take out the flame mage.

The 6 undead, started to march towards the Dawn Keepers guild. They were also obstructed by the dust and flames that was ever present in the battle site.

"First enemy spotted. They are golems." Ottis said.

Before he could even cast a skill to attack. The Mystic Lions sent a combined fireball towards the golems.

BOOM!

Another explosion occurred. This time it was the fireball from the Mystic Lions totally obliterating the golem summons.

Samil coughed up blood from the sudden loss of mana.

"We do not need anymore confirmation. The monsters are still alive. Do not hold back!

Flame Storm!" Amiyah yelled, as she casted her Flame Storm spell. It was a spell that condensed flames and made them rotate into a flaming tornado. It was a very devastating skill and she was very confident in her manipulation.

Her flaming tornado charged towards the dust and debris blindly, but it was enough to clear up all the dust that was in the battlefield. Sadly, it could not clear up the burning forest.

"There they are! * Mateo yelled out, as he pointed the enemy that came to face them. * Mana Bomb! "Mateo further yelled. As he joined his hands together, and casted a spell that gather destructive mana energy that was firstly the size of a ball.

Wasting no time, Mateo released his devastating mana bomb towards the targets. As he released the mana bomb, the size of the mana shaped ball increased has it went towards them.

Unfortunately, the reinforcement had Idah. A Battle Sage that was well skilled in the way of the sword.

Before the now massive mana bomb reached Tim’s undead. Idah accelerated forward, slanting his body into a battle stance and released his efficient Sky Wind Piercer skill.

A Thin but dangerous aura shot forward from Idah’s blade and collided with the mana bomb.

FOO!

Just like that, the threatening mana bomb spell that Mateo casted was cut in half and dispersed immediately.

It was almost as if, he never casted the skill. Idah resumed his acceleration and stayed on course towards Amiyah, his target.

But Amiyah, already knew that he was going to do something like that, so she forcefully dragged her still active flame storm spell to intercept Idah, and it worked.

POOM!

The rotating flame smashed into Idah, who in turn in that split second coated himself with aura and used his sword to block a direct impact from the spell.

The force of the tornado sent Idah flying till he slammed his back on a nearby burning tree to stop his crash.

The Mystic Lion’s did not advance further instead, they resumed their roles of shooting Scorching hot fireballs at Amiyah’s location.

"Mia! Anakin! Heal and buff us! Kyle! Take out the battle Sage! Flame Storm!" Amiyah yelled out instructions to her team members, as she casted an additional Flame Storm spell.

She was double casting at the moment, and that was because of the massive fireball that was coming her way. She needed to protect herself and her guild members.

"Mana Rejuvenation!"

"Holy Ray of Sunshine!"

"Rocky Wall!"

"Golden Mana Dome!"

All the mages of their team casted their spells in haste, to protect themselves from the assault.

Anakin boosted the entire team’s mana this time, Mia healed and restored every member stamina, Samil conjured a rocky wall as a form of defense, Mateo casted a small golden dome as the last line of defense and Kylee accelerated towards Idah to keep him away from Amiyah.

It was an all-out effort from the Dawn Keepers guild against Tim’s undead.

The fire Storms crashed into some of the fireballs and cancelled them out in an explosion, but it could not counter all of them, because the Mystic Lions were shooting them with a short interval break.

And, Amiyah’s sight was restricted by the defense that was put up around her.

BOOM BOOM BOOM

The fireballs rained once more on the defense

Bo who had been observing the battle immediately entered his battle mode. His eyes glowed with a deep blue light.
