CHAPTER 305: SHOPPING DISAGREEMENT

"It fits." Sinclair said, nodding his head in approval.

Coco shot him an awkward smile because it fitted her well, the fabric hugging her curves snugly without feeling too tight.

The magic stones embedded in the shirt glowed faintly, their power activating at the presence of a human with mana, the stones started emitting a soft, warm glow.

Coco raised her arms, testing its movement, and noticed the shirt was incredibly soft and light.

The shirt felt and looked lightweight and comfortable, despite the added weight of the stones, as Coco stood in front of the mirror, admiring the way the shirt hugged her form.

Coco looked away from the reflection in the mirror and nodded her head at Sinclair.

"It feels comfortable." She said, her voice soft as she ran her hands over the fabric, the linen material felt soft and light against her skin, and the magic stones in the shirt responded to her touch, a faint glow suffusing the fabric.

She felt the magic stones activate, the shirt starting to warm up and adapt to her body.

Sinclair chuckled and smiled at Sako, his appreciation for the shirt evident in his expression, as he nudged his head towards Coco’s direction.

"I’d like to order a dozen of that shirt.. Maybe in different colors? That would be great." He requested, his tone decisive, making Sako return his smile, acknowledging his order.

"Certainly." She responded, her fingers already sorting through the pile of fabric she had set aside. "Any specific colors in mind?"

Coco, on the other hand, had her eyes widen as she heard the number of shirts that were being ordered.

"Wait— dozen? Just one is fine, Sin!" She protested, her shoulders tensing as her concern growing when she realized the potential cost of the order.

She knew that magic stones were expensive, so the idea of purchasing a dozen shirts, each with magic stones, seemed excessive at best.

However, Coco’s protests went unheeded by Sinclair, his focus firmly on Sako, as he continued to hum thoughtfully.

"How about red, green, brown, black, and gray? Blue and violet sounds good, too." He mused aloud, the list of colors tumbling out of his mouth swiftly.

His mind was preoccupied with selecting the right combination of colors for the shirts, rather than paying attention to Coco’s growing concern over the cost and he made sure to let Coco know it.

Sako hummed softly, mulling over the list of suggested colors, her gaze shifting to Coco, sizing her up, trying to gauge how the colors would suit her.

Wordlessly, Coco walked into the changing room, shutting the door behind her, her steps hurried as she quickly closed the door behind her.

She took a moment to compose herself, her mind racing with thoughts about the cost of the order.

Her old shirt lay folded neatly on a bench, and she quickly shrugged it back on, relishing the familiar comfort of the well-worn fabric.

The magic stones embedded in the new shirt had glowed softly, but now they dimmed as she held it.

Coco walked back out of the changing room, her expression troubled while she approached Sinclair and Sako, watching as the two of them continued conversing about the shirts, their focus entirely on the discussion.

Coco sighed deeply, her gaze darting between them, feeling a hint of helplessness as she realized that her concerns went unnoticed.

Sinclair pointed to a green fabric, his gaze fixed on Sako as he spoke.

"I want a dozen in that color." He said firmly and Sako nodded in acknowledgment, jotting down his request on a small piece of paper.

The color of the fabric matched Coco’s eyes, its deep hue accentuating her eye color perfectly.

It was almost as if the fabric was chosen specifically to compliment her complexion, the shade of green would bring out the warmth in her skin and make her features stand out.

Sako couldn’t help, but smirk, impressed by Sinclair’s choice of fabric.

"You really do have a good eye." She said, her gaze flickering between the fabric and Coco’s eyes. "That shade of green will compliment her eyes perfectly."

Coco’s voice, loud and firm, broke their conversation, making Sako and Sinclair turn to her, her sigh was heavy with resignation and a hint of irritation as she protested, "You do know that spending so much money on me makes me uncomfortable, right?"

Sinclair stared at Coco with a calm expression, his gaze flickering over her face.

There was an unreadable look in his eyes, as if he knew he was about to say something she wouldn’t like, but Coco stared back, her gaze stubborn.

She met his gaze head-on, silently daring him to argue.

After a few moments, Sinclair sighed, breaking eye contact first, his gaze shifting to the floor.

Sinclair’s voice was soft, his expression now a mixture of concern and thoughtfulness. "I just wanted the best for the person who saved my life."

His words were laced with gratitude and admiration, but there was also a hint of guilt because he knew that Coco hated being pampered, but he wanted to pamper her— that’s what she deserves.

Coco frowned, her expression stern, but her tone softened slightly. "Just one dozen is enough, okay?"

She knew that arguing further would be hard, but she didn’t want to make it into a bigger deal than it already was.

Sako had been observing the exchange quietly, her eyes flickering between them, noticing the tension in the air, the subtle power struggle between Sinclair and Coco when she spoke, her tone was calm, breaking the silence.

"Just a dozen colorful ones then?" She questioned, leaving no room for Sinclair to disagree.

Sinclair gasped, his expression slightly sulky, but he nodded in agreement, reluctantly accepting Sako’s suggestion.

Coco, on the other hand, brightened up, her expression lightening as she shot Sako a grateful look.

Her eyes shone with appreciation, silently thanking the other woman for intervening and diffusing the situation without making a big deal out of it.
