CHAPTER 340: SECOND STAGE [4]
This hoe better be truly unbreakable. Coco thought, her eyes gleaming as she raised her hand, gripping the hoe tightly.
Coco swiftly and forcefully brought her hoe down, slamming the back of the blade against the hard surface of the monster’s face.
To her surprise, her strength was enough to cause a visible crack to form on the monster’s surface, the impact echoing through the area, causing the spectators to erupt in cheers.
Unfortunately, the monster didn’t like that and reacted to the blow, its expression twisted into anger and raised a hand in an attempt to swat Coco back, but her reflexes were faster.
Just as the monster’s massive hand descended towards her, Coco darted off its head in a clumsy leap, narrowly evading the blow.
She hovered in mid-air for a moment before she landed on the edge of the spectators’ seat, the people nearby frantically scrambling to get away from her, their faces filled with fear.
The monster, its focus solely on Coco, let out a guttural roar, its gaze fixed on her form.
"You dare attack me with your flimsy weapon?!"
Sensing the danger, the crowd gasped, some of them yelling in panic as the monster raised the massive pillar above its head, preparing to slam it down with all its might.
"Prepare to feel my wrath, outlander!"
Coco’s eyes widened in fear as she realized what the monster was about to do, the massive pillar being lifted high up in the air, ready to come crashing down on her with otherworldly force.
Coco frantically tried to find her footing, but it was too late.
The massive pillar was already hurtling towards her at a breakneck speed, its weight too fast against her feeble attempt to avoid it.
With no other option left, she braced herself and raised her unbreakable hoe to counter the pillar, hoping that it would be enough to deflect the attack and to her surprise, again, it was.. Successful?
Just as the pillar was about to crash down upon her, she swung her unbreakable hoe with all her might, the back of the blade connecting with the approaching stone.
The impact reverberated through the air, debris went flying in all directions, a physical proof to the force unleashed by the clash of the weapons, the sound of stone scraping against iron breaking the silence.
The monster stumbled back, taken off guard by the unexpected backlash, losing momentary balance due to the force of the swing.
However, its grip on the pillar remained firm, its hand remaining locked on the rock.
Coco wasted no time, springing into action before the monster could regain its footing, and in a single, quick movement, she jumped towards it, her body darting through the air in desperation.
She landed with a solid thud on its face, the impact shaking the creature’s balance for a moment.
Coco thought that her timing was perfect, striking while the monster was still unsteady, exploiting its momentary weakness.
So, with her gripping the handle of the hoe tightly in both hands, firm and resolute— she raised it above her head and then brought it crashing down on the monster’s face with a powerful swing.
BAM!
The back of the blade connected with a loud thud, the impact sending shockwaves through the rock monster’s features.
The force of the blow sent a crack spreading across the monster’s face, the solid surface now loitered with numerous cracks.
Of course, it tried to retaliate by reaching up and grabbing Coco as she stood on it, but again, she jumped out of its way and backwards, barely evading the creature’s grasp, causing her to land on top of the wall.
Without wasting any second, Coco darted away from the disfigured and disoriented monster, her footsteps surprisingly light on the edge of the wall that separates the arena and the seat of the spectators.
"Get back here!" The monster roared in frustration, its cracked face reflecting its anger, then it began to chase after her, its heavy footsteps shaking the ground beneath it.
Upon hearing the frustrated scream of the rock creature, Coco glanced over her shoulder, just in time to witness the monster swinging the stone pillar towards her, making her eyes widen in surprise.
She didn’t even hear it make a move to swing its weapon!
There was no time to dodge or flee; she had to face it head-on.
With little to no uncertainty, Coco raised her unbreakable hoe again, the blade colliding with the pillar, meeting the monster’s force head-on once more.
"Fuck!" Coco exclaimed, gripping the hoe tightly as she struggled slightly to keep herself upright.
Coco did her best to seize the moment to counterattack, her body springing forward with a jump— stumbling slightly as she did so— and propelled herself towards the monster, her movements quick as she closed the distance between them.
While Coco neared the monster, she raised her hoe high above her head, preparing to deliver a crushing blow.
The monster, still reeling from the force of the parried pillar, was caught off guard by her sudden counter, the shock evident on how its rocky body tensed.
Coco’s final blow was as swift as it was decisive, with the unbreakable hoe raised high, she brought it down onto the monster’s face, aiming for the already existing cracks caused by her previous attacks.
Once again, Coco’s hit connected with the monster, the blade biting into its surface as she slammed it with all her might, her strength doubled by the momentum of her movement.
BAM!
The impact sent a loud crunch echoing through the arena.
The monster’s red eyes dimmed first, losing their menacing glow as its body finally succumbed to the repeated blows of Coco’s unbreakable hoe.
The creature’s body crumbled with a thundering crash, breaking apart into numerous rocks.
Ding!

Coco dropped to the ground, her body rolling and using the motion to lessen the jolting sensations on her body.
Then, she laid there, staring at the scroll.
