New World with Four Husbands
Chapter 362: Team, team, team!
CHAPTER 362: TEAM, TEAM, TEAM!
"Now, all we need to do is look for another team to trust—" Yura started, but was cut off when three hunters approached their spot and screamed something unexpected.
"Hey, farmer hunter!"
Coco and Yura looked away from each other and turned to the newcomers who were courageous enough to approach them, their strides were quick, light, and prideful.
"Farmer hunter?" Coco raised an eyebrow, repeating the two words that made her confused.
"They are talking about you." Lukas stated, standing up from his crouching position on the ground and cracking his neck, looking over the two women and staring straight to the three hunters.
"They’re bad news." The so-called sacred beast said, only loud enough for the two women to hear.
"Why are they bad news?" Coco asked, tilting her chin towards her left and whispering the words to Lukas, but her gaze remained on the three men approaching them.
"Saw them yesterday by an alley, they were up to no good." Lukas mumbled, his eyebrows furrowing.
"Oh.." Yura muttered, her voice dripping with disgust.
"Well, okay." Coco blinked, a chill running down her spine as she assumed the worst case scenario.
The three men finally reached their spots, all of them looking rich with their weapons shining and polished, clothes shining obnoxiously and telling everyone who looked their way that they were imbued with magical stones.
"How about your team follow mine?" The man in the middle, who Coco assumed to be the leader, said with a grin that made her skin crawl.
"How about a no?" Coco retorted, tilting her head.
"Why would you refuse our boss? Can’t you see that he can give you lavish things like our clothes and weapons?" The man on the left said, shooting a menacing glare on Coco’s way.
"Let me think about it.." Coco hummed, putting a finger against her chin as she feigned a pondering expression. "Hmm.. Yeah, it’s still a no."
"You heard her." Yura said, frowning deeply towards the men. "She said no, so scatter."
The man on the right scoffed and shot a glance at Yura’s way, but the moment his eyes landed on her, a disgusting look crossed his features— lips curling into a wide, malicious grin with a certain look on his eyes.
"We would love to have you follow us though." The man commented, his tongue darting out of his mouth to lick his lips. "What are you? A mediator?"
"That’s none of your business, buddy." Coco cut through the conversation and stepped in front of Yura, pushing the woman behind her and placing her hand on the unbreakable hoe hanging on her hip. "You better scram now or I’ll have to deal with you right here, right now."
Coco was calm, too composed for someone who was threatening to do something to them, but it was enough to make them take a step back.
"Fine, fine, fine.. You’re so crude." The man in the middle commented, his eyebrows furrowing as he scowled. "I wonder how you’ll get married with that kind of attitude. I bet that you can’t even use your mouth to pleasu—"
"I’m married." Coco stated bluntly as she narrowed her eyes at him. "With four lovely mediators who take care of me very well."
Her words were quick to shut them up, but oh, Coco wasn’t done yet.
"I bet you haven’t found anyone who wants to take care of you just as well as how my husbands take care of me, huh?" Coco said, smiling softly at them.
"What do you mean?" He frowned, his hand landing on the handle of his sword.
Coco’s eyes followed his movement, humming. "And it seems like when common sense was chasing people, you didn’t stop and just kept running, never looking back."
Yura let out a snort and Lukas merely tilted his head, a puzzled expression settling on his face.
The man blinked, but couldn’t say anything to retort when another team approached, laughing and pointing fingers at the three men.
"Guess when it was raining knowledge, you were inside your house and watching everyone get soaked." The only woman from the newly approaching team stated, chuckling quite loudly.
"I’ll bet a gold coin that they still wouldn’t get that, Myra." The man snorted out, rolling his eyes at her.
The men, who seemed like they recognized the woman and the man, suddenly turned pale and scrambled to get away from them, leaving a trail of dust in their wake.
"Well, that was anticlimactic." The woman stated, putting a hand on her hip as she raised an eyebrow, staring at the back of the three men who ran away from them. "I thought I would be able to warm up before we set off outside."
"Too bad." The man said, indicating that he, too, was also looking forward to warming up.
Coco gapes at them, eyes wide in delight.
"Excuse me." She called out, voice dripping with excitement as she stepped towards the three of them. "Does your team already have a team to cooperate with?"
The woman turned to Coco. "Actually, we came here to ask if my team could cooperate with yours."
Coco brightened up, a giddy smile emerging in her face, her earlier sour mood is now replaced with a positive one. "Of course! We would love to have you come with us!"
Then, she turned to Yura and Lukas. "Right, guys?"
"As long as you’re okay with them." Yura smiled, giving her the green signal to let the other team join them.
Lukas, on the other hand, crossed his arms and huffed. "Do I look like I have a choice? You forced me to join your team so I don’t think I actually have any say in this."
"Fair point." Coco blinked, agreeing with Lukas’ words.
She faced the woman once again, eyes twinkling and lips smiling so wide that it would probably hurt her later. "Then, we’re looking forward to working with you!"
"Likewise." The woman chuckled, her own eyes twinkling with wonder and excitement.
