CHAPTER 366: A SURPRISE ATTACK

Coco reacted instinctively as a monster lunged towards her.

She was quick to drop Konoha to the ground before her hands shot out in front of her, but instead of shielding herself from the approaching creature, her hand curled into a fist and connected with a powerful punch.

The impact was strong enough that the tiger was sent flying backwards, crashing into a nearby tree with a loud bang. .

The poison tiger, after being sent flying backward by Coco’s powerful punch, lay motionless on the ground, its body sprawled out in an unceremonious heap, its muscles lying dormant as it succumbed to the force of Coco’s unexpected blow.

Coco’s eyes slightly widened in surprise as soon as she realized what had just happened.

She didn’t have much time to process the situation when a figure lunged at her from the shadows, the sudden attack catching her off guard, causing her to react without thinking of the consequences of her action.

Her heart pounded in her chest as the adrenaline surged through her veins, her mind racing as she tried to maintain her composure, her hands balling into fists in response to the unexpected assault.

Lukas let out a low whistle, his eyebrows raised in genuine admiration.

"Damn, I saw it first hand in the arena, but she’s really quick, huh?" The blonde haired man muttered, genuinely impressed by Coco’s display of speed and reflexes.

Zuyo’s grin widened when he watched the scene unfold, his expression mirroring Lukas’ reaction.

He gave a subtle nod of approval before adding. "Looks like our little friend has some genuine talents when it comes to these things.. I didn’t even know that a poison tiger was already on us until I heard it crash on the tree."

Myra’s eyebrows furrowed and turned to Coco. "You good? It was after you, right?"

Yura faced Coco, too, her face etched with a troubled expression as she looked at Coco from head to toe. "Did you get hurt?"

"I’m.. Good." Coco mumbled, bringing her fist down and letting her hand uncurl.

Greinzer’s eyes narrowed skeptically as he observed Coco’s actions and demeanor, his expression blank, but his gaze had its earlier suspicious look.

However, before he could voice his doubts, a sudden movement from the trees caught everyone’s attention.

SQUEEEEEEEEE!

Any thoughts Greinzer had about Coco’s skills were momentarily forgotten as the group’s focus shifted to the new threat.

Greinzer’s hand went to the gun’s holster, his gaze hardening as he watched the monster reveal itself.

Not a second had passed and the monster revealed itself, which was a flying pig— its pink, round form floating through the air with surprising grace, its attention was entirely on the group, completely ignoring Coco who was standing on the side.

Coco took this chance and quickly slipped into the safety of the trees, using the distraction of the monster to her advantage.

Coco hid amongst the tree trunks, her form blending seamlessly into the shadows, unnoticed by the unsuspecting pig.

The group stood their ground, preparing to face the flying and approaching threat, their gazes fixed on the flying pig, oblivious to Coco’s strategic retreat towards the trees, their focus solely on the monster.

Greinzer didn’t make a move, but he spoke up, his voice cutting through the tension in the air.

"I came here as your instructor." He said, his tone firm and authoritative. "So I won’t be helping all of you to kill these monsters or those who are about to arrive."

His words hung in the air, a clear statement of intent to let the group face the challenges on their own.

Zuyo and Lukas exchanged a glance, a mix of understanding and determination in their eyes, as they glanced at Myra and Yura which soon settled on Julian.

Lukas’ gaze shifted to the side a bit more, opting to look for Coco, but his face fell when she was nowhere to be found.

"Wait, where’s Coco?" He asked, making several heads turn to where Coco was supposed to be standing a few seconds ago and found only the cat she was carrying.

"Did she run?" Greinzer hissed, his eyebrows furrowing as he assumed the worst.

"She’s not like that—" Yura started, trying to defend Coco’s honor, but the conversation was abruptly halted when the flying pig suddenly took offense, its eyes narrowing dangerously.

Without warning, the flying pig unleashed a group of sharp feathers towards the group, its intentions clear and hostile.

"Run!" Lukas screamed, snapping the group’s initial surprise and quickly replacing it by action as they swiftly scattered, dodging the incoming attack with fluid motions.

Zuyo and Lukas swiftly sought cover behind a nearby rock formation, with Yura, Julian, and Myra running towards different tree barks.

Greinzer, his eyes focused and serious, found a tree on the far left side and skillfully maneuvered around it, using it as a temporary barrier against the flying pig’s assault— his gaze scanning the area and watching the aspiring hunters take cover.

When the attack subsided, Lukas made a daring dash towards the monster, but before he could get close, a sudden movement caught his attention.

A figure leapt out of the trees, approaching the flying pig with surprising agility.

As the figure darted through the air, its identity became clear— it was Coco, her hand tightly gripping her trusty unbreakable hoe.

With a determined expression on her face, she zeroed in on the flying pig, her eyes locked onto her target, her movements were swift and precise as she launched herself towards the pink creature, the hoe held aloft.

Time seemed to slow as Coco reeled her unbreakable hoe back, her focus unwavering.

The flying pig, its beady red eyes narrowing, finally took notice of her presence, but reacted too slowly as the back of the hoe’s blade connected with its round body— a resounding thwack echoing.

The impact sent the flying pig tumbling to the ground, stunned, the force of the blow leaving a noticeable dent on its pink body.
